  1. Hey everyone,

Possibly looking at starting a Gloomspite Gitz force for a painting project and to get me started with tournaments.

Just wanted to ask the Gloomspite Gitz is it a pure faction?, can you take anything from the battletome and it all counts as a Gloomspite Gitz army? (I prefer pure armies rather than soup armies).

And finally I realise they have just come out, but do they look to be competitive on paper?

    Cheers

If you're in the U.S. check out the magnetbaron.com  . Very cheap option to magnetize a better clear post to the base and then the post to the eel.  I used them, and it's really the best way to go.  What's really cool is you can rotate the eel on the base,  making it easier when you want to deploy the bases the long way to make a longer screen with defensive eels.

Hey cheers for the suggestion, Has anyone tried vice drilling holes and just glue the stems in that way?, would that work?

What your artefacts and lore spells and you could maybe integrate shackles or maelstrom endless spell

I would probably take ruler of the spirit hosts trait and make the torment the general due to the higher wound, and then give the beacon of nagashizzar to the guardian of souls.

Just wanted to ask in terms of competitive play (Whilst probably to early to say), how are Nighthaunt looking overall?, I have some parts from the soul wars set and thinking of building them up and adding more at a later stage.

  12. Hey everyone, looking at making a list using the  Celestar  ballista and anvils stormhost, they look like a solid unit for 100pts and 3 and the ordinator really does not seem that bad value with what they could potentially output.

Looking for general feedback and advice, got 220pts left but not sure what to add.

This is at its heart, what is known as the Les Martin TM list.

Star Drake, Castellant and fulminators.  His list also includes a knight heraldor, which is even better now than it was previously.  It allows the incredibly important unit of four fulminators to not get locked in tarpits by your opponent and always take advantage of their 3 damage on the charge.

At least one unit of judicators is typically used instead of a unit of liberators because of its ability to babysit an objective, fulfill a battle line requirement, and still contribute damage to distant fights.

Hey, what about this to complete it overall?, would the 6 fulminators be to much?, maybe to much battleline or looks good?

  15. For myself, having not really played stormcast (Did not play them in aos 1), any feedback good or bad is appreciated and constructive :).

I like the idea of a invincible elite type list, maybe this would work better, I have 320pts left to play with any suggestions?, Maybe 2 units of judicators which seem decent.

Also not sure whether a stormhost would be good choice.

  16. Came up with this list, in reply to DanielFM,  I think the tax of the Arcanum for Sequitors (Who I admit are better than liberators), can eat up a good ammount of points, and liberators just need to hold the line really, which I reckon for 100pts per 5 they are pretty good at.

  18. Going to have to lean towards PJetski,

Paladins in all forms are better in the new battletome, regardless if the warscroll was changed or not, You take a unit based on how it works with the rest of the army and other elements of the army, (Spells, units, heroes, abilities). I think it would be hard pressed for anyone to argue that the new tome hurts paladins more than it benefits them (Bar the fact you now have a choice of evocators or paladin units)
