Greetings. I've finally started truly experimenting with going 2nd by choice, mainly with my Gargaunt army, and it is such a fascinating and nuanced decision. This thread helped push me out of the nest. Thanks everyone.

I'm preparing for the Kublacon 2K tournament in California.

I'm pondering which Battalion to take, and I have the choice of 3 drops or numerous with a bonus artifact.

The latter will almost always make it my opponents choice. But the other I will, sometimes, make the call.

I know this is a multi-faceted question, but overall, what do you prefer --going 1st or 2nd? Or does it almost 

entirely depend on opponents army and list?

I have a lot of assembly to do, and not much time.
The zombies are not yet done, but i have Rad, the knights and the wolves rad will summon finished. I own an array of other models, but not a Vampire on Zombie Dragon. Mostly new heroes, and lots of units + start collecting box. Any feedback appreciated.

Good question, and pardon me everyone if this has already been addressed in this thread:  I noticed how small these Troggoths are for the price.  Can we see a size comparison to perhaps an old Rockgut (for Broctoon) as well as some other models? 

I'm hesitant build a meager 15-20 model count Troggoth army if they are notably under-impressive in appearance.

Lastly, how do all of you feel about this issue?

Thank for your input Scathach.

On a different note, who is excited at the possibility of a low-model count Troggoth force to bring to a game shop, instead of the nightmare of lugging around massive amounts of 28mm models.  Most of the older blokes I'm friends with switch  to 15mm game systems eventually when they get long in the tooth, to cut down on clutter and hassle. I adore AoS so this seems like a good compromise to me.

Right on,  it is a pretty rad model.  I'm loving these list ideas.  a refreshing change from my Slaanesh.  Another question, since I have a moment and all of you are being so helpful -- can Troggoth lists still drop the terrain piece at the beginning of the match, or is that irrelevant to them?  I understand it can return units of Gitz goblins, so I am uncertain if we get one or not with a Troll General hero.

Greetings -- thanks for doing this. What is the cost of a High Elf Prince on Griffon from the Isle of Blood starter?  Would you just use the Glade Lord on Great Eagle cost? My stepdaughter is trying skirmish with her mom and I, and she really wants to field just that!
