I did buy a new game mat (from Kraken wargames) to go with this army, so it was time for a family picture (even though the lighting in the shot is all screwy in my living room).

Basecoat of kislev flesh + red mixed in. Then airbrushed pure kislev flesh over it (zenithal). Then washed it with a home made brown wash and finished it off with a final brush highlight with kislev flesh again.

Finished Manfred on horse... Although I think I might highlight the mount's head a bit more and possible add some blood effects to the blade: 

 

I expanded the Morghast archai to 4 and added 2 harbingers. This means I can now field full deathlord lists up to 2k! Yay

 

Krell was also finished (excuse me... Generic wight king with black axe now):

 

And finally, a zombie horde of 60 that I really wasn't able to squeeze into the lightbox/frame. So here's a bit under 30 to represent the shambling horde:

I took some pictures in the lightbox today, only to realise most of them had a slightly out of focus front model... But still, I did make progress and finished the starterset!

I've recently bought the Shadespire starterbox and I absolutely love the models so far. I'm hoping to do all the warbands they release, but I have to start somewhere... So I kicked things off with the posterboys:

 

 

Fun models to do. It was actually nice to paint polished clean gold. Hope you like them! The reavers will follow quite soon.

The underdeveloped ORDER forces it seems. GW was clarifying that out of the 10 new traits, there would be 7 for order and then 1 for every other GA. 

They also said the trait from the city would stack with the trait of the allegiance... The cities would not get their own magic items/command traits, just one extra battle trait that is added to the battle traits your army already has.

Indeed. They are nearly finished now, but I can't get around to taking pictures until I get a new white background paper. I sadly ruined mine a few days ago.

I've got 3 boxes inbound for the coming week. I'm going to see if they can be magnetized to make both variants (at least for one of those boxes).

Hey folks

I've always held some interest in vampire counts in the old days, doing a few models back in the square base era... Unfortunately, I never really got around to properly finishing the undead army (the modelcount bothered me somewhat). 

With the arrival of the GHB, I did start out with my new Undead army, starting with a Vlagurescu's horde army, combined with a start collecting from both FEC and the deathrattle. Here are the results so far: 








And the deathrattle: 




And of course Arkhan, who I'm hoping will be the base for a summoning based deathlords only army... Just need to get my hands on morghasts soon...
