Uh did you not see my post. Tomorrow is going to be TOW's big coming out party.

As for the new liberators, the look a lot better in the video than in the screenshots. I agree that the helmets are the weakest part. Good thing I have plenty of spares from other kits. I think the armour looks as good as the rest of the thunderstrike armour and I like the new shield design. The hammers look the same but smaller.

Yeah, i should have clarified, the helmet in that still photo is what looks real bad to me. The rest of the armor is good.

I'm pretty sure the full old world reveal is tomorrow. Theoldworld.com exists but currently says under maintenance. The old world also has its own section of Warhammer community which I'm pretty sure didn't exist before today. Screenshot_20231013-215351.png.ff5c7f0e6b690f76766b0df962562fa5.png

That’s a good point it wasn’t there yesterday.

I really hope its the full reveal, its truly time fantasy players get more information on how it’s going to look like.

  3. OMG! That Bretonnian BSB is incredible and hopefully we get to see some juicy box sets this weekend.

Personally, I have no problems with heroes being resin while the bulk of the army is plastic, similar to what Conquest does and they have the best resin models I have worked with.

  4. I'm still a firm believer that if they could release free supplements like the iron jaws online for all factions that would be a huge boon for the game as a whole. I would have no issue paying the hefty tag for a lore/art/hobby book on that faction instead of it being focused on rules. Folks could still print out the supplement, to have physical rules.

This is an area where other systems like Conquest, KoW, etc, for example, do significantly better.

I just cant get over how good the Gorgers look. They finally look lore appropriate as starved Ogors. They look like Ogors!!

Honestly they are, to me, the best glow up model GW has done yet.

Just look at these two for comparison!!

I am beyond hyped for what the future holds for the Mawtribes.

  6. The destruction announcements are incredible! The ironjaws literally got fleshed out with one announcement preview.

The Damsel is just jaw dropping, but it feels really bad that it’s only one model being shown for ToW. I highly doubt a 2023 release.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned.

New Valrak rumour goodness reckons Old World will release October this year, with 2 seperate army boxes, Tomb Kings, or Bretonnia, so no joint starter set/battle set, it looks to be 2 army boxes for one faction or the other.

Next week preview should be good. :)

Can't wait for the Old World previous, hopefully they can showcase the boxes since we are getting close.

I really hope that for the second wave of CoS, we get a unit that has spears/pikes. It feels really odd not having that considering they are humans facing against all kinds of untold monsters. I do like the direction of it being primarily humans, which hopefully there is a standalone dispossed in the future.

  8. I personally would enjoy Strength and Toughness being added. You could make a real distinction between monsters, infantry, heroes with those.

3.0 essentially dissolved my local AoS group, we didn’t enjoy the heroic actions, monstrous rampages, battle traits, etc. At the time it felt bolted on, I would prefer if they went and redesigned war scrolls to be better instead of having separate actions located in various books.

There will be consequences, but the main benefit (IMO) is that it will make base size less of a hidden stat boost, and also mean things like conversion trays or just not having quite the right size bases will matter less. For making the game more accessible, that's not nothing.

Agreed, if it makes the game more accessible then I am all for it. Plenty of other RNF games already do that and works perfectly well.

I know GW is GW and has kept selling those WHFB minis for Cities because older players who have invested so much money and time into their minis would be dissapointed in not being able to use them and GW loves making money from new players and there wasnt a replacement Faction for those minis but I think they shouldve gradually been phased out long ago to avoid such a stark cutting.

Its on GW really for not releasing a Faction like Cities sooner.*

I dont want any WHFB minis in AOS at some point.

Out with the Old, in with the New.

*I know of production timelines and such but come on we've waited 8 years for Mortals!!

    not-kidding.gif

They shouldn't be phased out until there is a proper alternative for that player base to play at a supported level. AoS was fundamentally built by WHFB factions, like demons are a fantasy faction should all those be gone, should nagash, teclis, slaves to darkness etc? probably not.

Once, ToW is released and properly supported, then sure but up until that point, I would hard disagree.

Anyways....the manticore and clan pestilence are absolutely fantastic and the Bretonnia mounted paladin is just chef's kiss. It's too bad that epic, out of nowhere, took up so much of the show.

I very much love this model and their ceratopsans coming out. I hope GW starts a "Big Dino War" with Parabellum so that all lizard enthusiasts win.

Their apex-predator is an absolute gem along with those raptor riders. I'm a simple man, I press like when I see dinos.

Parabellum Games has this beast up for Pre Order.

Please GW give us a Thunder Lizard in 4.0!!

The ParaBellum stuff is incredible, and their lore/world building is imho the absolute best on the market right now. 2 games in one product, the rank and flank mode and then the warband (more akin to AoS or OPR AoF). I would highly recommend it, Play On TableTop has some awesome videos about it.

Can't wait to get my hands on that dino.

Seeing as one of the voices in the trailer was clearly a Darkoath who’ll play some part in the story I’d like to see them get expanded in a meaningful way. I love their design since the Darkoath savagers. If it would be possible to field an army of Darkoath which did not purely consist of 5+ save heroes I’d be ecstatic.

I'm still hoping that Darkoath would be a proper faction instead of the mix/match of warcry bands. Having a new version of Norsca would be incredible with fimir, werewolves, mammoths etc and of course conan-like barbarian infantry.

If there are more Stormcast releases there will be even more people who like Stormcast, as supply creates its own demand. If you follow this path it may soon become apparent that we could use some Dark Stormcast, who betrayed Sigmar... and we all know the rest of the story.

This is something that folks tend to overlook, of course that SCE will sell great if they keep getting new releases. I'm sure BoC would sell great if they kept on getting new models in various waves.

Personally, I hope we don't get Dark StormCast, to me that would feel too close to the whole space marine dynamic, ngl, I get the distinctions, but still.

They are in a fine state but 90% of the range is 20 years old. It needs updating more so than Wave 2s for some Factions in my opinion. Once we get rid of the WHFB sculpts in AOS Ill be beyond happy!!

I cant believe its been 2 years. Like I can but ya know 2 years of really zero narrative progress is quite mad. Damn Covid I blame you!!

It's going to be quite sometime before all of those sculpts are replaced, a large amount of the range is still from the fantasy days, and I hope that they just get moved over to ToW instead of being sunset.
