When the reasons you state for not liking a game are also even more applicable to the games you do like, something is off.

..because Owen was developing a game called Battleshout, but GW got there first 😉

The basic Warcry campaign hasn't dealt with how progression can hurt a campaign, but also hasn't given the players a progression toybox as seen in necromunda or mordheim

That's not how Sam Pearson described it; the Convergence element is designed to prevent the rise of the Uber- Warband and bring balance back to the campaign. Warbands migrating to new areas have to start over reducing their supremacy and enabling less effective warbands to challenge them.

  3. @Battlefury Your penultimate paragraph is fatuous and your last paragraph is misleading.

Having read your last 10 posts or so you are having a go at GW in at least 50% of the posts. You may not be a hater or a troll, but you're not a happy bunny!

Why do I sometimes have the feeling, that people do betray themselves, just to be protecting GW?

They can give you expansions, and 100% they will. But not to support the game. More to support the constan flow of money coming out of your wallet.

When those 2 are not that positive about a game, it normally has a clea reason, why it is.
They are experienced and usually know, what they're talking about, from theyr perspective having played a lot of games all over the place.

Of course it comes to the individual expectation. But please tell me, when you Ladies & Gentlemen came to the point to accept products, that get obviously more dumbed down each time.
And for those, who are already dissapointed, or will be dissapointed, just don't buy it then. The more people will buy it, the more the company won't care about the actual game mechanics, because they got their money out of it already.

GW needs a little pounding throughout bad decision they make ( again ). And if the playerbase won't give them, nobody would.

That statemant is not only based on actual warcry, but on the overall business practice, that they show on a daily basis.

I am not a hater, nor am I a troll. This is ( not only my own ) experience that I made within years of playing.

Well that's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

It's also the 'Lets Talk' people's opinion, and their entitled to that as well.

What  happens next will be down to the opinion of many many people...

  5. I guess we'll have to see how the combos and objectives work, however the campaign adds that extra level plus more objectives will come out in time. The beauty of small skirmish games is they can be adjusted more easily than the larger games.

Move to the middle and kill will certainly be a feature but not the feature.

On top if which you have consumable and perishable items that you win and bring more variety to the games.

Could you tell if those Terrain cards allows for scratch-build terrain? Or is there an option for playing without those cards?

You can play with or without the cards, but there's definitely a mechanic for scenery set up using what comes in the box that means (if used) the box scenery is deployed in a specific set up.

  7. Only played a basic version of the game @WarhammerWorld but really enjoyed it.

Combat is determined on one roll of your dice.

Initiative mechanic is really good, either buffing abilities or first activation.

Orge is a beast in combat but then so is the leader of the Unmade - Mr Scythehands, as he was christened.

The game is definitely designed for the narrative campaign play although open and matched are included. However narrative is my bag, so this suits me well. The progression system is really well thought out, Sam Pearson was really enthusiastic about it! The way it works prevents the creation of uber-warbands (unlike Mordhiem) so has hopefully created some balance between those who've had many fights and those with fewer.

Terrain, Twist and card based mission system give over 40 million game combinations, which should keep folks busy.

All in all, really impressed, its clear its going to have lots of support and there were eggs about the Varanspire, feels like this will lead to the Everchosen!😍

  8. Don't flame me for asking this as its almost certainly be asked and answered already but I'm poor at searching!

Has the community reached an answer to the Tyrants of Blood Battalion ability and the Leave None Alive command ability? If I had 3 Bloodthirsters who have just successfully charged the enemy, how many additional Bloodthirster models would attack after the first and before the enemy gets to retaliate?

I think we all agree that the concept of "point of origin" would answer this question differently.   It's going to need an errata to get there.  Right now, the caster's base is the GUO's base.

But why would you bring this interpretation  to a game? I doubt very much it's been left in on purpose, much more likelyto be an oversight. Feels far to gamey when we are already a top tier faction.

Fair argument. Although likely hood it might not work out like that, as the trees are easily negated. But each to their own :) it’s just my opinion.

Agreed, if you put 5 trees on the table they'll be a hindrance to moving round the table as much as anything else! Plus they get easily nerfed by opponents happy to take the MW risk.

Hi guys, just wondering if the forgeworld plague toads of Nurgle get the disgustingly resilient? I took a look around the maggotkin book and also the tamurkhan list and couldn't see anything. Thought I would ask though in case I missed something.

Thanks in advance for the help!

No, they got nerfed, they now only have a 4+ against Mortal Wounds so they can now easily be beaten off the table...boo GW, Boo!!

Looks almost identical to what I want to do, but two units of blightkings instead of the warriors. What spells and artifact did you take?

I had Plague Squall on Archaon and Rancid Visitations on the Glottkin as I was facing a Nighthaunt Horde army

The Harbinger had Endless Gift as keeping him alive is paramount to survivability.
