Anyone use the briar queen in their games? That spell seems pretty awesome. Although casting cost of 7 and then having to roll above move characteristic

what did you say again were top 3 leaders for nighthaunt? Was it reikenor, spirit torment and guardian of souls with mortality?

I was thinking of starting up a Skeleton focused army and i have a few questions..
Anyone here using mantic models, are they of ok quality? They are ALOT cheaper then buying gw so i am leaning towards them, since they got models of most of the stuff i wanna use..
Will i be okay to use black knights instead of morghasts? I like both but im leaning more towards starting with the knights because i just think they are a bit cooler, but i dont know if i will lack means to deal with tough monsters/heroes with good saves.
And i was thinking of a 1000 pts starting list of something like this...
Wight King on Steed
- Lord of Nagashizzar
Necromancer
- Ossific Diadem
- Overwhelming Dread
Skeleton Warriors W/ Spears x 40
Grave Guard W/ Great Weapons x15
Black Knights x 10Manticores skeletons come on little discs that slot into their square bases. So to base them on rounds you will have to buy the rounds then either painstakingly cut the base off and glue them on GW base, or just glue the whole disc on the gw base and hide it with basing

Namarti reavers. Don’t seem that great but our only really shooting unit. Any hope there?
-
So where does thorns stand after ban list? That’s a lotta cards we can’t use haha. Does objective play become better and we do less aggro play or is it even more into aggro now?
-
Quick question. The ship wrecks count as terrain right? So enemies that can’t fly have to go around or up and over? Does anyone use them just to block lanes of movement with other terrain in mind?

There are usually 2 missions in any tournament that requires 3 wizards or heroes with artifacts. Having only two heroes makes those possible auto-losses or very difficult. Just keep that in mind

I think a true monster mash has to max the monsters. That’s the point is it not? So 4 behemoths
-
Earthquake. Concussion. Any number of cards basically screws up the whole round for your opponent.

-
But then that’s not monster mash....
-
Literally. Do you have points for 4 behemoths and a courtier and 3 ghoul units and the battallion?
-
What I meant is I feel that ghoul patrol needs lots of ghouls to really be worth the cost of the battallion. And it’s hard to find the points for enough ghouls if you need 4 big monsters

-
You can’t run a decent ghoul patrol and still have space for 4 big guys
-
How bout if all night haunts get played by poor players? That will skew numbers. Only 4.8% of the players. That’s not big numbers on which to base anything. Will need a lot more numbers to show that these finishes are outside the realm of chance
-
We all know grimghast are the bomb. Doesn’t really matter what rest of the list is haha
-
I meant decks that focus on objective play only. There used to be decks running all the hold objective X cards etc etc. That playstyle is dead. Splashing supremacy is great
-
I personally think objective play is dead. Too many ways of pushing pulling and esrthquaking and otherwise messing with someone sitting in ibjectives

Ghoul king on TG x2
one on a ZD
arkhan
min ghouls

Did like 8 damage once with Queen. Inspired. Concealed weapon. I think there was one other upgrade. And then trap and pushed into a lethal hex lol
-
The advantage is really that if you are a hardcore melee army, it really helps you. Like iron jaws. If the whole aim and purpose of your army is to make it into combat and failing to do that is bad, then use cogs. If you are that kind of army you WANT your opponent in combat with you. So you don’t care if they come charging in. And because of alternating activation you don’t have to worry about eating all chargers first like in 40k
so it’s really just about what you are trying to do with your army.

I played against Tzeentch for the first time today. Pretty tight game. He won the scenario in the 3 turns we played (I had to leave) but we both agreed I would have likely tabled him given 1 or 2 more turns.
My question is how we deal with spell casting? I had an Ionrach Aspect of the Sea with Alchemical Chain and still only managed to stop 1 spell all game. On top of that, our spells felt pretty weak with such short ranges and lack luster results. I felt like 440 points could have just bought me more eels to hunt enemy wizards with.
Yessir. That would be moar eels indeed

Arkhan has +2 to cast so it’s almost equal. You may not ever get it off but the threat itself is enough of a counter. Nobody wants to see their 800 points go down to 320 pts
-
I think as a counter to nagash is actually a valid meta choice right now
-
Arkhan brings spells, unbind, another wizard and against nagash brings hand of dust as a counter. Personally I need to see this list in action against daughters and deepkin because I don’t see how all monsters is good. But apparently it is
