    Played my 1st game (Well 2) with the above list vs the same KO list that beat my Morathi list the week before

    game one I won at the top of turn 2, where I won the priority and he conceeded

    we re-racked so he could try some different tactics against the list, and I won top of turn 3. 

    Worked really well. Pic 1 is from 1st game, Others from game 2 

    Heart of Fury was in play due to his Fyreslayer units that do D2 each

    So Came up with another tweek version of my avatar list. Dropped the 2nd Cauldron for a Shrine and 1 unit of shadowstalkers/witch aelves to make a unit of 10 stalkers to help support snipe. Also dropped Shackles for Cogs to give the coven 6 casts. Since I have 6 dispels i can always dispel it in enemy turn and move it to a better place

    Went with 2nd spell choice over Iron circlet. If I dont get Sacrament off well its only turn 1 I dont get the avatars so not the end of the world and my prayers are on a 2+ (3 for universal) with avatars

    2 Drop Cobra Kai. Strike first...strike hard...no Mercy


    Morathi used Hero shooting on stalkers to clear screen of main target in hero and shooting phase (or if no screen go for support heroes)

    Morathi-Khaine and Bloodwrack Shrine fly up 9" of enemy with Mirror Dance

    Shadow queen just flies up

    Khinari drop down or fly up (depending deployment) and charge in to take unleash hell

    Ironscale makes the sisters run 2D6 and charge with now 5 attacks each from Cobra Kai/Shadowqueen (hopefully with MR)

    Bloodwrack Shrine, Shadow Queen and morathi-khaine charge in also.

    Cogs to help everyone charge 

    Turn 2 can either use Morathi-khaines ability on sisters or stalkers 

    WE and Ironscale just tooter around and cap obj with stalkers support firing 

    Game over turn 2. Time for drinks.

    Yeah, I went double warlord and hunters of the heartland for my Hagg nar. Not fussed about going 1st choice and the extra prayer options is great as you can stock up on back up heal & Crimson rejuvenation if you need to hammer some healing onto a key piece

    I kinda want to make a serpentine avatar of khaine. How would y’all suggest I do the kitbash? The only way I can think of is sticking his body on the Shadow Queen’s tail. Can anyone think of any other ways to pull this off? I know her base is bigger than his but they look about the same general size, I think with a bit of work it can be fit together and secured onto a properly sized base. I’d like to stick to GW product mostly, in case I ever find myself in an opportunity to go to a tourney with it.

    I am about to try one with the upper half of an cauldron avatar (arms in different positions) with the Lower half of the shadowqueen. bits are on the way from a friend and will post how it goes

    The base might be bigger, but the snake part goes up a pilar so could be made smaller with some green stuff for a tip

    What's the combo with Gotrek?

    You basically have Gotrek, a model that is really hard to kill and throws out a ton of damage, with Morathi-Khaine, a 2 model hero that you cant kill until turn 3 earliest. The shadow queen half is a combat monster and the Morathi-khaine side is solid magic support and can do work in combat

    So for around 1095 points..

    So you cant heal Morathi-Khaine but you can heal Gotrek. So take a priest (hagqueen) with Heal and Emerald life swarm for extra heals on him.

    Rest of the army can be stuff to cap points and support them. Blood Stalkers are popular in this as Morathi has an ability that lets them shoot in the hero phase

    Tweeked the list a bit this morning 

     

    It's between Shackles and life swarm. Shackles is harder to cast for me as I have no + to cast,  but useful in every turn really. Life swarm easier to cast but I have 2 heal prayers so might be redundant

    Only leaves on a 6. on a 1-5 it stays. It can be banished by a priest, but they need to roll over the casting value, so need a 5+, as well as losing their prayer cast next cast

    Again, it's not a great sign that the DoK discussion is mostly revolving around how much better idoneth and CoS units are then ours.

    Why don't you just go play another army than be a Eeyore around here?

    Played 2 Versions of the above list at the weekend. 1st was as above, ended up a 5 round 16vs14 to Skaven, but I tabled his army bar 1 priest on 1W. All the obj had been burned and I could score any more tactics. Made a few errors as I didnt know a couple of things about skaven and should have been better with tactics so not the end of the world, was a great game

    game 2 was a tweek with - 2 x 10 SOS, - Life swarm, + 2x10 WE, + Bloodwrack vyper

    Wanted to test Vyper, didnt get it off all game lol. So a waste of points really. i did beat the STD player but killing his army by turn 3 bar Archaon who was held up buy a Avatar with all out defense. So tanky in heart of fury/Cauldron/General buff range vs Archaon and I kept healing it with my two heals. 

    So relooking at the list, Its really fun to play and the avatars are boss, their overlapping shooting really helps also with the medusa. Changes are a tweek to which prayer is on each person, as a couple of times the foot hag had no option as nothing to heal and out of curse range. 

    Two options I am looking at are:

    1: Dropping an Avatar and Vyper for making my 2nd Cauldron a SQ on cauldron and then having a hydra.

    2: Keep the Avatar, switch the HQ cauldron for SQ on cauldron, drop Vyper  and take a different endless spell as would have 55pts left (Cogs or Gnashing jaws)

    Would Idoneth Alopex be able to teleport? I thought they’d miss out because they would lack the DoK keyword. 
     

    You mention the “teleport hero”; Tenebreal Shard? Hopefully you have someone else in mind, I’ve found him to be incredibly disappointing, since he fails his teleport 50% of the time. I wish they’d improve that somehow. 
     

    PS: Post your converted Shadow Warriors when you get a chance, I love DE conversions.
