  1. This stuff went up on the whattsapp group. Added notes on stuff that wrong or question mark

     

     

    Temples:

    Hagg Nar: +1 Blood Rites, can have a cauldron as a free behemoth
    Khelt Nar: retreat and charge 
    Khailebron: CA teleport at end of movement
    Draichi: extra -1 rend on WE and SoS 
    Zainthar Kai: snakes attack when they die (and snakes battleline)
    Kraith: SoS can fight again on 4+

    Other generic stuff:
    Spell lore: mirror dance got changed back to 1.0 version
    New command trait: 4+ rally 
    New artefact: shutting down inspiring presence and rally within 9", goes to 15" if you kill a model. (Not new but old crown of woe rewritten)

    Leaders:
    Morathi: 680 points, CA is 18” now, no more +1 to cast.
    Hag Queen: Witchbrew back to automatic again, but changed to +1 to blood rite.
    SQ on Cauldron: has +1 to prayers now (wholly within 9")

    Units:
    Witch Aelves and SoS: Bucklers give +1 to save characteristic now.
    Spear snakes: Doing mw’s on 2+ now (if within 1 after unit attacks)
    Heartrenders: no more extra rend when set-up.
    Lifetakers: no more extra rend on the charge. (Also still 4+ to move)

    110 Hag Queen
    90 Gladiatrix
    315 SQ on Cauldron
    130 Medusa
    115 Ironscale
    150 Khainite Shadowstalkers

    Without that Command Ability, I personally think she'd probably be too expensive now. Let alone after some nerfs.

    CA stayed the same but its once a game now 

    The faction heroic action cant be used by monster so shadow queen doesnt benefit from it

    I know they implied the Medusas are going to have a mechanism for +1 Blood Rites, but what is it?

    Avatars seem a lot better in general now, but what sort of cost increase is attached?

    Devoted Disciples being gone is unsurprising, but what Command Traits made the cut?

    Did any of the subfactions see surprising changes from their current basic trait?

    medusa do have a mechanic to give a unit of snakes +1 (can only go on 1 unit, but 2 can put on different units)

    No surprises to sub factions, they all got knocked down to 1 thing really. Hagg nar is +1 to rites, Khelibron is teleport, draichi run and charge yadda yadda yadda

    Yes, HaggNar gives a SQ cauldron or HQ cauldron for "free" in terms of behemoth

    While I'd love that, I'd also be happy with darkling covens as coalition option, perhaps in a har kuron subfaction. Based on the underworld band males are less discriminated against now maybe.

    It was expected we would lose rerolls, and with 5 being a 5+ ward for whole army, unless they reword devoted disciples that will effect haggnar 5++ bubble

    Nice its worded ward though 

    Being able to get witchaelves/sos to 2+ to wound is nuts. Looks like we are going to be total glass cannons

    Id love Khinari for BL Khelt Nar,

    Id also love Shadow Stalkers for battle line in Khelibron.

    I think it would open up a lot more play styles and variety

    The army has been broken since the previous battletome gutted our melee options. We've been getting by on 1 extremely busted interaction and honestly don't have much to fall back on. Morathi+15 bows snakes takes up1560 points minimum including battle line and that alone is a stronger setup than any 2000pt list DoK can put on the table that doesn't include those two units.

     

    Thats funny as I havent used Morathi and 15 bowsnakes and I am doing fine. You dont need morathi and 15 bowsnakes to do well, its a crutch

  10. I think we wont get much changes. Like IDK we will come out relatively the same. 

    Morathi command ability will become once a game or changed

    We will lose rerolls and will probably get +1's to stuff 

    honestly only think I would "wish" for would be Hellebron. Shes mentioned in newer publication's and we only have Morathi/Morgwaeth as names heroes atm so might be nice to have another option. I would also love to be able to use the new massive avatars but doubt it unless they have a sneaky aos mini changed one  

    I just really am not expecting my game changing for us sadly. Usually I am pretty optimistic

    At least Morathi is happy with it.

    Named heroes cant use the incarnate, as its an enhancement.

    Yeah its...different.

    For my DOK I mean it could give me a monster (we only have Morathi) and a +1 to maybe get mindrazor off, but tbh I dont see endless spells that often and since its going to a lot easier to drop its level then raise it. 

    I mean could be fun with Kragnos, Loonboss on Squig and 48 Squigs (plus whatever you can fit)

  13. I can see Morathi's CA being similar but maybe table wide and once per game. Means you dont have to keep her near but its also not as OP (similar to the stormcast Holy order things)

    Maybe it will be Khaines blessings and you can pick one to use 

    I would like to see prayers pushed more as a big thing for DOK. We are one of the few factions with solid prayer access and should be more of a power over magic 

    Would also love more speed/chaff. WE should be cheap and expendable, in the books they are basically cannon fodder fanatics.

    Would love to see a Khinari hero and options to push Khinari, as atm I just don't rate them

    Would also love to see a new Avatar sculpt or a access to the 40k avatar, but i am not holding my breath for anymore new models

    she's ok but nothing worth changing for unless you do a draichi faction that's +2 rend on charge, -3 w MR, but then you just die like Nats to a lighter and aerosol

    Khinari don't need a 4+ after shooting to move, just can move for free 6"

    Mods I would suggest maybe locking the thread as its a hot argument topic on twitter and this is me trying to be diplomatic about it :)

    Tbh 1 hero in 600pts is enough, doubt you need 2. PTG is more about the different scenarios where holding an obj isnt always the thing
