This doesn't appear to be a forgeworld release like other Primarchs?
-
None of those books really portend anything for 40K either.
-
With as IP hangry as they have been in the past I wouldn't be terribly surprised.
-
Doubtful. A lot of those would still be metal minis and I'd be skeptical that GW has good enough molds to make that financially viable.

I'm usually not so bad at forum acronyms but what's GSC?
Genestealer Cults
It would be weird to be in between since the next WD's cover is Prospero and I didn't see a mention of anything about Duradin on it either.
Maybe after Prospero, but then that is so close to the usual Christmas type sales. -
Yea, as usual GW can pivot pretty quickly on their releases. I have no doubt the whispers we heard had something behind them. I doubt anything this year though unless they slide them in between GSC and Prospero somehow.
-
I'm not certain its cloth, but i'm confused by the iron. Some speculate it's to add details. Time will tell. If it comes with a ruin it will be decently priced and a 4x4 will let you transition to 4x8 a little easier I suppose.

A nice set of releases and some super cheap heroes. If anything they'll be handy to be stand ins for dungeons and dragons.

I think that is simply wrong: there is no confirmation of an Allegiance of the Realms book, it is most likely wishlisting by no-sources. That does not mean something like that will not be released; I actually think it is very plausible. But no confirmation at all.
I'm reasonably certain that it was first brought up by the GW facebook page.

The Great Deciever Rises!
So the next big storyarc will revolve around Tzeentch and the Silver Towers? I suppose this means Chamon (Realm of Metal) will be the next big battleground. Probably lead to Tzeentch Arcanites vs Steamhead Duardin and the return of Grungni.
Maybe - it definitely is going to be in focus for 40K. It lends credence to other things we've heard, but it doesn't sound like we'll see fantasy stuff until next year.

What's interesting is that in AOS also at the end of all-gates they said that the sliver towers of tzeentch are also appearing in reality as well. It's happening in 40k it's a good time to be a tzeentch fan.
Reeealllly.....guess there is a book I need to go read.

Also, if you are correct about this, what does it say about GW that the only way they can get people to buy their latest product is if they keep what you really want hidden away, so you have to get your fix somewhere else?
It isn't the only way, but when your competing for dollars against video games, movies, and the like you need to capture interest at every corner to be successful.
I like GW's direction as well. There is just a je ne sais quoi with the nature and spontaneity of the unknown in the rumor mill. Instead of checking GW's web page every month or so for updates I'm hitting the forums on a regular basis to see what else might have popped up.

Not sure I agree with this. Take a look at Fantasy Flight. They announce things months in advance. Then do 4 or 5 preview articles to boot. They don't give specific release dates, more like time frames. i.e. an 'on the boat status' means it's still about 2-3 weeks from the store shelves. iirc. FFG has a great relationship with their customers. I mean, just look through their forums. You will see very little FFG bashing in there.
Thing is they have a lot of disparate systems without tons of crossover. If I buy one release I won't feel like I should have waited when something else hits in a different system. Where with GW it's sort of the opposite. If people saw everything that was coming you'd see most people just waiting for what they want out of the line-up and not venturing into other areas for their "fix".
Also, if you spend enough time on Dakka half the conversation is about which army should have gotten the update and whether or not the update was good enough.

Oh I am so geeking out. If they finally give us a Silver Tower model for 40K...
-
A detailed schedule would be bad. It's just be nice if they leaked limited info about 2-3 weeks early. It'd keep people happy, generates excitement, and no one would be the wiser.

Adeptus Custodes mistaken for Stormcast?
I'm certain Sad Panda mentioned Custodes and Sisters, which would make them 100% on the way.

Tzaangors mistaken for Skaven?

How many tables are you setting aside for AoS?
-
Low armor save, so easy to "kill", but the rest is pretty slick. I'd say around 200 as well.

Would be much happier with a Dwarf as the free model as I'm seeing no role for the Slaughterpriest in my list.
Conversion potential!

According to the owner of my LGS, the White Dwarf miniature is just a repackaging of the jumping dragonslayer with a warscroll for AoS. Any of you have heard something similar? The guy who told me is absolutely trustworthy, but I refuse to believe GW would miss such an opportunity with Grombrindal...
There's too much floating around to say what is what at this point. Supposedly we're getting 4 models over 4 months, but this is the first we've heard anything about a dragonslayer. Perhaps he mistook it to be the old model when it is in fact new?

Grombrindal fans rejoice. He is making his way to AOS according to Atia.
The nagging questions are is he a re-imagining of their avatar for the Age of Sigmar? Is he going to be part of a faction or will he be a freebie for one of the first few issues?
I must know! -
So it sounds like it is still the Slaughterpriest for the free model, but Kharn is on the cover. Warhammer TV just put a video up of Kharn in response to the leaked sorcerer.
