My memory and Google Fu is failing me... was that the same rumor talking about a whole bunch of CSM next years as well as a "big but incomplete" Craftworlds overhaul?

Correct, i believe it was on bolter and chainsword and subsequently deleted. I can see if i can dredge up screenshots, but it's basically all 40k.

They still sell models made in metal?

Or is it leftovers from the past?

    Skaven have:
    Gutter Runners
    Arch-Warlock
Warlock engineer (Bombardier is not the same)
    Acolytes
    most weapon teams
    Plague censer bearers
still in metal. One or two of the teams are finecast and I can't remember which.

Edit: still on the gw webstore

I swear to Mathlann if Lumineth get another big release before 4th ed I'm burning my armies.

    Expand 👏 existing 👏 armies 👏

probably better off selling them, both for the environment and your own physical health.

I learned today that gutter runners are metal. I always thought they were plastic, just ugly. Hope whitefang's bone reading comes true soon- I don't suppose we've heard anything more about eshin?

I don't know about the whole "last minute change" hypothesis... the model has a Kruleboyz-esque shrine

The shrine wasn't very big and it hasn't popped up to my knowledge in the rest of the KB line, seems reasonable that it could have just been slapped on after

So instead, look to the models themselves. If they're so intrinsically and inseparably linked to Chaos, there should be a ton of Chaos iconography on their models, right? And there just... isn't. The Dragon Ogre Shaggoth has an eight-pointed star, and that's about all. (Obviously stuff like the Tzaangor and Slaangor belong to the Disciples and Hedonites in this scenario.)

I picked up some gors to paint for a warhammer rpg and theres at least one eight pointed star on these guys.

Not to mention that your assumption would also mean skaven aren't chaos since they have the skaven rune rather than the traditional chaos symbol. The beastmen goat head thing is their chaos symbol, they're walking symbols of chaos.

Could this be to do with the October Battletome? Maybe a STD release with a bunch of new Daemons models or updated models for the Big 4?

I saw a screenshot of the post, says daemons are "without a specific date but in the pipeline", which means almost definitely not October.

I feel like the restricted roster is somewhat thematically appropriate, though. The Kruleboyz are swamp-dwelling ambushers - they need to move quickly and quietly through difficult terrain. Cavalry and elite infantry are poorly suited to both swamps and ambushing.

how are Cavalry poorly suited to ambushing in the slightest?

Can anybody remember back to the Necron\SM releases, did everything for them arrive in 1 weekend? Or do you think they'll split the Warclans\SCE book and the kits of a couple of weekends?

they were split into multiple weekends as well as a Kill Team boxset.

Wow, ok, I think I got two skaven halves of isle of blood collecting dust at my parents place.
I simply didn’t know that there are Skaven players out there who might like them because GW didn’t really bring them back.

No, nobody wants them, i'll take them off your hands for you, they must be taking up a ton of space 😬

Are they out of print or something? I usually don’t follow Skaven stuff.

Yes, they ran it once as spire of dawn then dropped it. A real shame because it had new rat ogres, packmasters, warpfire thrower, mortar, and clawlord (which I like better than the one they made in 2015)

doesn't help the AoS situation. I'm sure Moulder is due for some love in the next few years (and the rest of Skaven, though Im a bit concerned with how many "waves" it will take.

I don't expect anything new model wise for skaven, so digging out old ( but massively better) models is something reasonable I'm hoping for

I'd kill for GW if they brought back the 8th edition Tomb Kings models they made(Tomb Guard, Necropolis Knights/Sepulchral Stalkers, and of The Necrospinx).

Tomb kings is the greatest and most bizarre sin gw has committed

They are a Mary Sue because even when we are told how bad their society is and how they are constantly sabotaging themselves (supposedly) somehow all of that never amounts to anything real because they always succeed in whatever they do without anybody being able to oppose them. So yes, they are quite the Mary Sue and yes, I know what a Mary Sue is, thanks for the attempt at discrediting me because you don't like my opinion.

what have they actually done in aos?

stopped nagash, along with everyone else trying to stop nagash?

drowned themselves so that gw could make more elves?

almost kill a few named characters but don't?

Just noticed this after a 2nd glance, so the stormcast have existing terrain in the bsckground of the box pic. Does this mean we just got a leak of orruk warclans terrain from the ardboyz box pic?... 🤔

I can't see very well, but isn't that 40k ork terrain
