Well, regarding the 1000 points, I can give an idea that work pretty nicely here in France for 40K. For 40K, it is called the 169. It it the point limit of single unit/datasheet. You can't play a unit more expensive than that or a hero more than 169. (And eventually can't play it more than once but there are some exception like battleline).
Well, in AoS, you could play such a game: X point limit and Y max unit/warscroll points, meaning big units or heros, out, oversised units, out, spam, out, etc... (for example X=1000, Y=200)
Will give you games back to basics, fast and ....fun.
Always wondered what that meant on my local GW 40k events.
For AoS I could imagine a limitation like: a unit cannot be more than twice its minimum size / more than 20 wounds / more than X (300, 350, 400) points

As I said, the majority judgement is à method that force you to give an opinion on every options.
Once again, it appears that I did not think the whole thing through 😅
I think that the same poll à few months after the GHB will be more relevant.
-
Totally different medium with different properties it seems.
-
Do you really think that I was expecting the ultimate truth through that poll ? On a game with rules changing every now and then, with hundreds of références and mostly based on dice rolls ?
So yeah, either for internal or external balance, I wanted to have what the community thinks. No more, no less.
-
Nah, no worries, I guess only people with knowledge of everything can answer it properly. This system is not made for optional answers or "dunno", the concept is exptessing your self on every proposa (my Death poll was à good example I think).
Concerning external balance (assuming that every payer played at least one of each battletome faction at least once) , what do you think is best, that I launch à majority judgement vote before the GHB release or à couple of month after ?
I really don't like those tier lists I saw, and would prefer the feel of the community. Comparing the feeling to the tournament stats could be surprising.

And even then... if I never play Seraphon who am I to judge if the balance is off? I think it could still work but you make judging every faction optional and you only use the data of the factions that get X amount of votes.
Yeah Yeah, got it 😅

Beyond the obvious difficulty to vite because you should know every faction, it was not à poll on power ranking, but the internal balance of an army within itself.
Created this poll because I got annoyed by yesterday tier lists on Twitter 😇

Cool.
Tomb Kings equaling Setra, do you if their GA will be Death ?
-
OK thanks.
As much as I would have prefered an out of the blue Death faction, more skeletons is always cool, especially if they are based on the WHU warband

Cool.
Do you have any idea if the release is in the short, médium or long term ?

It is the same runes than the base of the eldar Death jester
Friend of mine is saying that it could be exodites(?), eldars mounting dinosaurs, and that the reptilian rumour engine could be also that

Mmmmmh, I guess you're both right. To answer you would need a good knowledge of all the books.
Seemed a good idea. Maybe external balance would be more relevant.

I dont think any amount of medium can turn a base/layer into a contrast.
But with only pigments it might

Dear fellow tacticians,
I created a preferential vote poll concerning the internal balance of AoS armies.
What I mean by internal balance is the balance of options within an army is:
- balance between allegiance rules
- balance between units
- diversity of lists - diversity of gameplays
- any other criteria you can think of
Disclaimer: this is not a poll about the efficiency of each armies in the meta.
So... Beyond telling you that I will share the results in 48h, that's pretty much it
Here's the poll:

If you want to share the poll on Twitter

My guess is that neural colours (black, white, off white, Brown, skin tones) will be à huge success, and that the others will be too specific / project related to people having already lots of paints

So Idoneth are officially Fantasy Gungans. You heard it here first folks!
It would made me laugh a lot but made me very sorry for GW if the community started to call Idoneth "the gungan elves" 😁

For bretonian speaking people, here is a quick insight of the Contrast paints by Maxime Pastourel (the guy who designed Mortarion).
Basically he says that he totally embraced and included them in his painting.
His skaven was done in 30 minutes and he used some on his Mortarion.

What would be the impact of reapers loosing their Summonable keyword, would it make them more balanced ?

A lot of people really really like them moaning ghostly things, I personally and kinda lonely just don’t like them (though luck for me I guess).
what I really meant with that statement is...prepare to pour salt over uneducated nonesense... that they are just mediocre at best in the power balance against other factions and most of my resentment stems from their units being better in my LoN than in their original faction.
Chainrasps as battleline seem to be so much better in LoN as well as the grimghast and the stalkers. That just baffles and bugs me to no end, fills me with resentment, hate and anger.
(being the only Servant of Nagash in my surroundings, as I said bring the salt for my statements)
maybe I‘m just wrong in all my assumptions XD
but that is why I think GW botched the NH release
Must confess that I thought you were talking about their sculpts.
From a french YouTube channel review of the Legion of grief, I agree that it is a pity that « pro » thinks that it invalidates the Nighthaunt battletome. I don’t know how GW could fix that issue in the next GHB.
42 minutes ago, Skreech Verminking said:I’m a bit confused, how exactly do you vote at this website??
The vote lasted 48h. For each proposal, you have to select a judgement from « « Excellent » to « No ****** way!!!! ».
Would you guys be interested in a preferential vote on battletome internal balance and another on external balance? Or any topic in fact.

So, what do we think of the new Contrast paints?

Tyler Mengel told me that his Sylvaneth took him more or less half the time he would have spent with regular paints.
