  1. Just catching up now- was away early all day with work. I keep saying this but GW are making incredible miniatures these days- the standard is unreal! Ushoran is amazing- such a perfectly proportioned monster, such details without being too much... wow!

The FEC release looks amazing generally- the bat cavalry are just awesome! I thought the leader had a helmeted head but even better he was wearing a helmeted head! 😂

The tombKings Bone Dragon is also just fantastic - a bit tricky to make the overall shape but the characters, the howdah.. they have a mummified cat! its just great -delighted for Tomb King players.

I actually really like the Kruel Boyz sculpts - they are really nice, perhaps a bit plain for a war band but lovely as regular models. They would be a nice painting project.

I think now any faction waiting for an update are going to get some absolutely cracking models - the wait will be worth it whenever they get their turn [can't wait to see deer elves and new dwarfs whenever we get them...😇].

Fantasy stole the show , with an honourable mention to the despicable Night Lords - looks like a great kit for their fans!

  2. Haven't read the book but just listened to 2+tough Youtube summary of the book. Sounds like a great narrative - I especially found the bits around Kurnoth and Kurnothi exciting. Hearing the description of Deer legged elves with bows in Belthanos ambushing force sounds promising -im hoping not just centaurs but faun types as well. Hopefully this is pointing to a release at some point but perhaps not for some time.

I think it is confirmed that indeed anything old recasted would use the forgeworld resin.

I think they also said there would be some metal kits too! Its quite strange going to back to my old WHFB dwarf army and feeling the weight! Hoping to pick up a few of the old Longbeards if they bring them back...

  4. Yes -I mean the return of Grungni during Broken Realms hasn't had much impact at all this edition, the only new Dwarfs have been the fantastic new Fyreslayer Warband and a couple of Characters. Could be a long setup or it could be seeding lots of possibilities the design team can explore or not in the future.

Pretty sure I've heard in interviews with black library authors that GW generally push for any writing to reference existing models and not invent anything too new, so I would think this centaur unit for sylvaneth is more of a when than if. Don't think it'll be the warcry warband though, as others have said Whitefang hinted towards the elf faction by LRL.

Maybe they were meant to come with Belthanos then got pushed back for some reason?

Or maybe they will set up to be the adversaries of the FEC and come later, Belthanos seems quite interested in the reports of a Carrion King. I still think that Kurnoth could arrive at the ned of 3rd edition as the rite of life ends, although I've seen nothing to suggest this.

  6. Well that story made a lot of interesting reading.. very excited by the main character being a centaur.. not holding my breath but good to see an animalistic kurnothi featured. I'd love a Warband of centaurs, fauns and wild elves but can't see it happening anytime soon. The Ossiarchs being involved with the containment of the Carrion Lord sounds interesting- Death vDeath clash!

  7. I'm a collector- I like to collect armies and AoS I have a small Kharadron Overlords force and a Kurnothi war band. I have never played, used to play WFB and currently got back playing 40k as my girlfriend introduced me to a friend who plays. If our small group was interested I would play but at the moment I enjoy reading the lore and collecting models I like, although my painting is mostly aimed at 40k as thats my gaming fix at the moment.

  8. Have to say the new Brets look fantastic -much more than what I was expecting. Each faction getting a couple of plastic kits each makes me a lot more optimistic about ToW. The foot knights look amazing - very much of a similar quality to the CoS stuff. Obviously similar mounted knights would be ideal but making "new" kits rather than replacing the old should help boost sales as old players can add to their collections. Getting initial sales will be key to rebuilding the Old World as a game. Looks very promising all in all, looking forward totem getting around to doing dwarfs and maybe wood elves.

  9. Well just caught up- the 40k stuff was a bit light, my mate was hoping to see more Necrons.

AoS- Stormcast, although not my thing, looks pretty cool. The Kurnoth Hunter character is very good-I've always liked the Hunters and that is a gorgeous mini. I'm a little sad there wasn't proper [to my mind] Kurnothi, but maybe more welcome in the future, maybe as a Warcry war band or something.

The Brets- those foot Knights are amazing- I think if you kit bashed them with the older stuff the range would be great and the mounted pegasus is fabulous. If they take this approach with the other factions - a unit and a character in plastic I have higher hopes for ToW.

    Needed more dwarfs mind you...😄

Apparently some private videos for tomorrows preview have started popping up on the Warhammer Youtube channel.

3 for AoS, 2 for 40K, 1 for Killteam, nothing for TOW so far but they probably just haven't uploaded it yet.

The 40k ones will be Necrons and Mechanicus as they are the next two codex up for release, pretty light releases apparently with just a few characters. AoS seems to be getting the lions share. Khorne- Sylvaneth-FEC?

One kurnothi unit, do we think? Or two or three, and kurnoth himself?

I'm not expecting anything yet- maybe a war cry war band and possibly a character, but I have no sense anything like that will be shown this weekend. FEC and Chaos/Khorne are more likely.

Chaos is present in all the settings, as are Dwarves.

    Just sayin'.

Has White Dwarf or Bugman appeared yet? I'd say either one of those would be an iconic 40yr model if it wasn't Harry the Hammer.. Edit: White Dwarf has been shown.. I doubt Bugman will appear .. mo idea really... someone on Bolter mentioned the models are chronological -th eScreamer Killer released this year so 40 th might be next years release?

At first glance the rumour engine does look FEC related but it does look very skeletal so it could also be something for the Bonereapers.

Could be for the Old World- there is a Liche riding an undead dragon coming according to Valrak.
