After speaking to some playtesters on twitter - this is how I will be playing the rule.

First thing - any model that flees cannot split and split again.

Any model that flees can be rallied, lifeswarmed or fold reality.

You can never have more then 10 pinks, 20 blues & 20 brims in one unit.

If I start with 10 pinks, and get to a situation where I can have 5 pinks and 10 blues, I can attempt to rally / fold reality / emerald lifeswarm the other 5 pinks back into the unit.

This is how I understand it too and how I will play it. 👌

Worst case scenario is we only have to bomb one of our Pink Horrors instead of splitting it.

Things arent going to be hitting our Horrors as hard as they used to either with coherency and its still 10 bravery and an autopass on 1s for our Icon Bearer.

Horrors are so much better off than most 32mil models in this edition its not even funny. The sky is most certainly not falling for them.

They've lost a little to not being battleline as soon as one pink splits. That could cost you vp in scenarios where battleline and heroes gain control of objectives.

One unit at most is enough now I think

Random query: According to the core rules, an unmodified 1 to hit, wound, or save auto-fails.

If that's true, why does the LoC initially have a 1+ to wound characteristic on his Staff of Tzeentch? Just to protect against a debuff?

It's to help with debuffs , a 1 to wound will still fail but it will still be a 2up to wound with a debuff.

So he played against it three times, beat it twice, and therefore it's going to ruin the game? I feel like I'm missing something... Typo maybe?

Hes also avoiding the fact he played dok for over a year very successfully because hardly any armies had an answer for hagg nar and morathi, it wasnt till the points were addressed a year later that it calmed down.

Changehost is broken? its dominant against every army. Hey im gonna drop 100 wounds of horrors which are minus 1 to hit in melee into your army, I have an assured charge due to fate dice, and the army is single drop so I always go first. Have fun.

Bring some chaff and weight of dice units no? KO, living city, bonesplitters etc are all tough matchups even for changehost.

The warhammer world stream top table match yesterday ended when the player conceded against tzeentch. the army is incredibly unfun to play against with changehost as is 95% of armies dont have a chance.. The whole of twitter is melting down over it. Which is why I once again say never let unfaq'd armies in tournaments.

I'm sorry but a shooty tzeentch changehost is a hard counter to a melee orientated ELITE OBR army. Just an unfortunate matchup to be honest. Everyone keeps batting around that it needs FAQing.... what needs FAQing ? The rules are crystal clear

    Good catch in deed.

But Kairos being a named character, be aware that you can only have one one the battlefield...

That is interesting because If you start with a LoC (in place of kairos) you loose one spelll but you gain a nice CA and the possibility to put some relic & co on the LoC...I'll think about it.

The guild of summoners rules ultimately refer to summoning a lord of change from the fate point table. This to me is normal lord of changes only and not kairos/exalted greater demon

How do you gather that? Do you know how many army's utilize the BW that can teleport? If there's an FAQ I've missed please let me know... But as far as I know this is incorrect. It's all considered one model and as a setup it remains with you. This is the case with Skavens Skitterleap and Seraphon teleports just as examples.

Added benefit of it fitting into Changehost and thus can be moved while on the BW.

The balewind will automatically dispel if you changehost teleport a model that's on it as its left the battlefield. Nothing is stopping you auto dispelling it, teleport and then recast though.

Could be wrong but doesn't Witchfyre Coven require Enlightened on foot because it doesn't specify the disc requirement/isn't emboldened?

(I hope I'm wrong - it is an annoying restriction, like most of the arcanite battalions)

I thought this initially too but eventually held my hands up on facebook as I was totally wrong. In the core rules it describes warscroll battalions and it states:

I ran my list today. Blood and Glory vs Ironjawz. 9 Enlightened did phenomenally well. Took out a unit of Gore Gruntas on the first turn and ‘ardboyz and Brutes and a Warboss on the third. Then two more heroes before the end of the game.

The Icon of Tzeentch worked very well too. It was as I predicted, very easy to capitalize on it with minimal risk. Got +1 attacks on the first turn, getting my Enlightened up to 5/6 attacks for Spears, 4 for Beaks and D3+2 for the discs. Not a must bring, but definitely not “lol trash cuz possible drawback”.

Unfortunatley I couldn’t get the Simulacrum or Dirgehorn into play. I only successfully casted 8 spells that game.

The Hosts Arcanum performed well. I was able to auto-unbind Hand of Gork on the first turn and Destiny Dice it on the second. And my free Screamers won a major victory for me in the top of the 5th.

20 Acolytes ended up doing about 8 damage to some Ardboyz and Brutes and folded to a Mawcrusha. They actually got all their spells off so if my other wizards could have pulled their weight I could have won earlier or held off the Mawcrusha another turn. Happy about the points I spent.

Lost my Pinks to battleshock. Expect it if they aren’t near your General.

Also lost my Magister to spawndom in the 5th after rolling 4 straight 1s.

Fantastic game. I had a blast. Tzaangors heavy list performed way better than I expected given their vacuum nerfs and without running Battalions or a Coven that adds value to them(I used to think the old Tzaangor Coven was borderline necessary to make them competitive with Pinks). Icon performed better than I excepted(though I think I trended lucky with it).

Sounds awesome , what was the full list ?

For casting spells with destiny dice are we required to spend 2 destiny dice? When reading the rule its seems that may be the case

Also seems like Lords of change can't really use destiny dice any more?? As the dice can not be modified or rerolled?

Correct it takes two destiny dice if it's a two dice action. Will be the same for charges!

I'm sure mastery of magic isn't classed as modifying the dice.

This thread really helps to understand how this list works!

I have a question: do the long strikes benefit from the 6inches bonus in the first hero phase? They didn't move but there wasn't a movement phase either... how does it work?

ofcourse they do, deployment is a 'setup'
