  1. Agreed, in what refers to the source witch hunt. I understand it though: it comes from the "Temoulon" experience. If you refer to us questioning credibility, do understand that there are tons of trolling rumour mongers and no accredited rumour monger ATM, so there are reasons to be skeptical.
  2. A Blightwar boxed set is nothing to hype with. Would be probably felt as an insult by Death players (all of this for the same old skellies!) and by everyone else because of a re-iteration of SCE. Now if by Blightwar boxed set you mean a boxed set with only new miniatures but without new rules (apart from magic), that’s fine by me. Important thing is two new factions contained in the boxed set!
  3. I guess I see where you are coming from: the “magic supplement” might be phase 2, because of how much it has been hyped. Could be. I think it would be a missed opportunity, because we need a big fluff book. But then all I really care is having a new boxed set with new miniatures. Rumours still point that way, even though we do not how reliable they are. Here is hoping.
  4. I meant it doesn’t change anything regarding rumours: likely heading towards Souls War, si confirms rather than deny the “phase 2”.
  5. I don’t follow your logic here. The Necroquake is just a new fluff phenomenon. Doesnt change anything. As for AoS FAQ, the situation is conpletely different from 40k, whose edition is new (which makes a new set of rules pointless).
  6. That was just a comment on a Spanish forum (the famous “Spanish rumours” forum that announced the end of WHFB). It is not the website itself that made that comment. The comment is also pretty ambiguous, as it is centered on Shadespire but it is hard to understand when it is talking about it and when it is talking about AoS. As I understand it (and I am a native speaker), it just claims that a new 168 pages magic expansion will be introduced and that it will “feature” new stuff such as Stormages, some spectral guys and a great prophet of Gorkamorka. It could all just be guess-work and it does not confirm nor deny anything apart from the magic set. So we are left pretty much where we were. It is still weird for GW to release a new “edition”, “phase” so close to a new expansion and the proper order in that case would be first new starter set and then new expansion. So I guess that incredulity comes from that fact. But our few rumour mongers (whose credibility is also not proven yet) are speaking of new phase (which I believe is happening, as we have many signs), new updated rules and new starter set. I am willing to trust them on that, but I also have problems understanding how the magic supplement and new edition go together.
  7. I think it is important not to confuse “faction’s or GA’s needs” with commercial needs. What takes precedence in GW’s releases is obviously commercial thinking. Because of that, it is important to understand that they will keep on pushing order factions (specially SCE’s chambers), maintaining a much slower but still reliable frequency of chaos releases, and a much more sporadical frequency of death and destruction releases. And aelves are a major selling machine. That being said, I am 99% sure that no new aelven faction is coming on 2018. We kinda know that a new chamber and Nighthaunt are being released during this year, and that already makes for the by far biggest AoS ever year. But 2019? I wouldn’t discard it. There might be some surprises on the road, but it seems that after SCE and Nighthaunt, the next factions to have major releases should be (in no particular order): Slaanesh, Khorne (because of 40k), Moonclan and Darkoath. None of those is order though and I am sure they will keep on pushing order factions in between.
  8. Of course, it is either Tyrion or Teclis or both of them.
  9. Actually this is not true, but neither is my recollection of the respective passage: there is simply no indication as to who exactly (Tyrion? Teclis? Both?) is the creator of the angelic aelves. I will quote the DoK BT passage: "In Hysh luminous beings and angelic creatures of reason were born, while those Malerion took to Ulgu were formed into something darker, something majestic and terrible at the same time." I guess we will get another sneak peek in the Idoneth Battletome.
  10. Hard to tell. Some data leads to believe they will only function together (Tyrion is described as blind and only being able to see through Teclis in AoS introduction book). But then afterwards, both are described as having partially different agenda. The description of the process of the Idoneth's creation, for instance, seems to be solely Teclis' business. The angelic aelves seem to be solely Tyrion's business. I would not discard therefore a second Teclis army, this time successful and aligned with their creator.
  11. -Not all Order armies follow Sigmar. DoK, all Aelves, DoK, Sylvaneth, FS do not. -DoK do kill things for killings sake. They have no "joy for battle" per se, as greenskins do, but they do have love of blood and suffering causing per se, which I would argue is much more evil than anything all non Chaos factions have to offer (and even some Chaos factions are less evil: barbarians have some honour).
  12. "More important" is a bit adventured, but as important is fair. The only reasons why I think it will be Shadowkin first are: (i) Slaanesh is in Ulgu, not Hyish; (ii) we have a name for the conflict between Malerion and the seekers, the Shadow Wars; (iii) Malerion has a picture, T&T do not as of now (maybe in Idoneth BT Teclis will have though); (iv) the Shadowkin are mentioned by name in several publications, the Lightkin haven't been named as of yet. It is not a matter of importance, only of how many teases there are.
  13. No, I do not think that Slaanesh escapes will follow directly as in immediately from Nagash's work, but only that it will lead to that. That is: the "stage 2" setting will start with souls war and new SCE v. new super malignants. But it will eventually lead also to Slaanesh escape. It does need to introduce at least Shadowkin first though, you are right. So end 2019 IMO.
  14. So new MP story reveals that: -Malekith is the same delusional, megalomaniac and manipulative douche he always was. -He is fully aware of Morathi’s surplus steal and actually allows for it to happen. -Malekith and Morathi are actually aware of Slaanesh being out of its initial position between Hysh and Ulgu. They are also finding very hard to rescue souls anymore and are losing control of Slaanesh. -Malekith is still aiming for dominion over all others. He is fouling Sigmar into thinking him an ally and actually apparently using the Gladiatorum to steal energy or something else from him. Interestingly, he says Tyrion also despises Sigmar for “what he did with Teclis kingly gift”. Not sure what that refers to. -The portents are confirmed to be leading to a catastrophe for Malekith and co. So I guess Slaanesh’s escape?
  15. Of course: EC are also missing. The thing is: assuming that GW continues the end of the year Chaos tradition, it can be either Khorne or Slaanesh. People have speculated that Slaanesh is sure to be released because of this, but they are missing the lack of WE in 40k. I bet it will be Khorne and not Slaanesh because: -Angron and WE have been rumored lately; -It is an easier release as Slaanesh, which needs pretty much a three tier release (almost full revamp of daemons, completely new EC and Slaanesh mortals in AoS); -It should come after main aelves, especially Shadowkin, who are engaged in the Shadow War for Ulgu and Slaanesh. And Shadowkin are certainly not coming this year.
  16. Death seems to be getting a bigger bone than expected pretty soon, so there is that. Destruction is indeed neglected lately, mostly because its latest updates are two years old. It got well served then though. I expect a couple of medium bones 2019. Nothing 2018 I am afraid (but then it is Death’s turn and let’s face it, it will always ven Order’s turn).
  17. I must say that was foreseeable. You let yourself hype too much and get too clearness of a picture at you wanted!
  18. Indeed. I am not completely sure on Moonstone yet, as his good rumour was Morathi which had been called before by Temoulon. Then he claimed he had heard nothing of other Aelves, while Temoulon was accurately describing Idoneth. All of it may be true; he may simply have sources that did not reveal Idoneth. So I guess his test will come with new starter set being new chamber v Death (sounds very plausible) and the non-human undead being released.
  19. People citing Atia as rumour source should know that she has no insider knowledge. With Temoulon gone we are pretty much dry on proven sources that are active. So past malignants v SCE it is all very much speculation. That being said I would bet on a Khorne december-January release, given the absence of a World Eaters faction. It would have little impact on AoS (updated Hounds, maybe some new daemons).
  20. I think the criticism is not about design creativity but execution creativity. This used to known as the “lazy CGI” design criticism: computer techonology allows for miniatures recycling.
  21. Let's not foul ourselves: Deepkin are CLEARLY inspired by eldar and specially dark eldar aesthetics. Eels are one man bike, sharks are two-men vipers; thralls look very similar to DE, etc. "Lack of creativity" seems a bad word to describe this to me, but they (the Deepkin themselves) are certainly in some aspects less original as expected. That being said, though, I like them every time more. The energy put in recreating a sea atmosphere (with tons of accompanying fishes, rays, mini sharks, plus corals and wrecked ships) is impressive. That part of the range is full of creativity and is a mine of hobby potential. I do not know if I have the talent to come up to the challenge and give my army the under-sea atmosphere it calls for, but I can already see them being parade boys of the best exhibition projects both by customers and WH World.
  22. Just hope those are not bald (although I guess being bald is meant to express the unique feature of Idoneth of being soulless and incomplete).
  23. Bald thrall infantry is meh. Not badly executed, but Indont like the concept. I hope there is a bad-ass type of battle line infantry not shown.
  24. LOL you are actually right horticulus. It is indeed two new bands for shadespire and the symbols indicate nighthaunt or similar (spectral) and the anvil and lightning symbol must be ruination. So Nighthaunt v Ruination starter set confirmed + WH: UW 2 starter set with those factions? Awesome!
  25. Ha, so I predicted right: Deepkin (full) reveal; WH: UW 2 clearly teased; and Death teaser which I guess is new starter set. Deepkin impressions: not at all what I expected, as Inthought they would be more spartan-Atlantean bad ass and are actually weird with no eyes and full playing with the water theme. Still very well done. Great video as well; awesome to hear a very Teclis Teclis.
