I’ve drawn up this rough 750 point list based on models I already own (everything except the Medusa);
Allegiance: DoK
Temple: Khailebron
Realm: Ulgu
Bloodwrack Medusa (general)
Hag Queen
20 x Witch Aelves (paired knifes) - Battleline
5 x Blood Sisters - Battleline (as Medusa is general)
5 x Doomfire Warlocks
...that leaves me with 50pts spare for one of the following;
1) Prismatic Palisade + Quicksilver Swords
2) Gemenids of Ulh-Ghysh
3) Extra Command Point
4) Swap out Hag Queen for allied Darkling Covens Sorceress
Any thoughts?

I'd love to know what paints you used for that turquoise armour (and that green you used to tint that shoulder pad horn)!
-
I think a nice deep crimson would be good as a spot colour - eyes, claw markings, sore and tender flesh around the stitching...

Blood Bowl and WHQ, according to the GW site.
I'd love to know what those are as well!

I'm happy for the AoS fans that are looking forward to 40K getting a similar treatment (easier and more flexible to get into.)
I'm also looking forward to the thread getting back on topic, when we hopefully see something new and non-40K to discuss soon.

I imagine the more specialised mini-factions will be chucked together in one book each - Beastclaw Raiders and Gutbusters, Pestilens with the other major Clans etc.
-
Revenant Legions would be a great name to cover a number of the smaller Death factions under one Battletome!

Do skeletons come with special weapon options? The back of the box seemed keen on pointing out the ancient sword.
Specifies the Ancient Spear too!
Guess the box is just specifying what each of the options looks like.

true true. the blood bowl skaven team might also be an indication of whats to come in aos, very eshin-esque
Unlike many, I quite like how long and free-flowing their tails are.
I'd love to see revamped Night Runners in a similar fashion. I'd also do gorilla yhibgs to get revamped Plague Monks too, but that's a different discussion entirely!
On another note, I'm intrigued by these recent GH2 mumblings!

The Deathrunner is one of my favourite parts of modern-era Warhammer Quest, so I'd be over the moon if the Clans Eshin got a proper update!

Ha look at those dinky little legs!

If by GW adding an extra keyword or two to a Warscroll makes people want to rush out and buy an older box of miniatures, well thats just smart business!

To bring some rumours to the table... with the change in the warscrols of Slaugtherbrute and the Tzeentch One, someone of GW has say that they are thinking of doing something similar with the Giants. So, maybe Giants with Ironjawz keyword?
On Facebook one guy talk about how Jabberslythe could have the same treatement as the Slaugtherbrute but with Nurgle Keyword, and a GW guy replied with a "Oh, thats very interesting! We will think about it!"
If GW will continue to update the other MONSTERS OF CHAOS with god-specific keywords, here's what I'd suggest;
Centigors, Razorgors - BRAYHERDS
Warhounds - SLAVES TO DARKNESS, BRAYHERDS
Harpies - BRAYHERDS, SLAANESH
Jabberslythe - BRAYHERDS and perhaps NURGLE? (as suggested above)
Chimera - SLAVES TO DARKNESS
Cockatrice - SLAVES TO DARKNESS, BRAYHERDS?
and of course...
Gargants - SLAVES TO DARKNESS, BRAYHERDS, WARHERDS, KHORNE, NURGLE, TZEENTCH, SLAANESH

I know too well about original WHQ, first thing I ever purchased (for £25 in a GW in-store sale of all things!).

LOL! Good joke
In any case, it's the Daughters of Khaine and Scourge Privateers I think will be filling up the Dark Elfs ranks. Honestly speaking I also really like the new look they have given to a male supporter of the Daughters of Khaine.I can certainly see why you'd think that thematically, but what is that idea based on? I've seen next to nothing about the Tenebrael Shard myself. Was there anything in the Silver Tower novel that came out with the game?
From what I've read online I know for sure that both the Shard and the Mistweaver Saih share a Dark Elf / Aelven Exile heritage.
I'm itching to see them both merged into existing factions as I've got mine all based up and finally ready to paint!

To be fair though, the unbalanced number of different unit and character options from Grand Alliance to Grand Alliance isn't a true reflection of what each is actually made up of.

With that big armour-spike in front of its face, I don't think it would make sense to turn its head anymore leftward.
Job well done!

Thanks man! I am pretty satisfied too, needs more work but it's getting there for sure.
I'm not sure about having the axe pointing further up. The pose suggests that with his left hand will grab the bottom of the axe stem to swing it with both hands. I know it may be hard to see from the photos, but when I look at the model, the handle is now somewhat in the movement line of where it was toward holding it in two hands. Pointing it further up, which would be out, means neither of the arms would be where they are.
Ah right, gotcha now!
Is the face leaning more leftwards? (even just a tiny bit!) That would fit the motion you've just described quite well.
-
I like how you took the Megaboss' very openly aggressive pose and closed it a lot whilst maintaining that threatening presence - usually pose conversions involve the opposite! (going from closed to open physical expression).
Only teeny suggestion I have is the angle of the axe hand - it might work better turned so the axe handle is pointing further up than sideways?

Thanks guys!
For the selective shading you've both suggested, I imagine it's best achieved by a wash - do you know the best way to stop the wash from having that "tide mark" it so often gets? I often struggle on horns with the gradiation, even following Master Duncan's tips ends up with if looking far more layered that gradual - the horns on the Chaos Lord seem to be total luck as they ended up looking great and I couldn't really identify any material difference in technique.
As for high contrast shading, I think that's because so far I've done the typical base, wash, layer, edge without pushing to a further and final edge highlight, mainly because nurgling green is the top end of the greens and I usually use screaming skull for the last layer. I suppose mixing the two is going to be the way to achieve the best highlight?
Look up a technique called "feathering". I'm pretty sure it was illustrated in a recent White Dwarf.

The colour of the verdigris works well with the lime green armour, so perhaps a darker blue / turquoise glaze for the darker parts of the armour?
Still, great work so far - your choice of colours is pretty good too. It's very easy to default to the normal dark greens and browns that Nurgle is often plastered with, so good work for breaking that trend!

I bet more varied multi-pose GROT SCUTTLINGS would be neat... ??
I'll admit the Silver Tower ones are of an acquirred taste.
GROTBAG SCUTTLERS on the other hand are something else completely - perhaps a throwaway reference or a sneaky hint of things to come? ⚓️

Reading through this month's White Dwarf I notice "Grotbag Scutterlers" are referenced 3 or 4 times. Do we think the ST gribbles are getting a full release in the not too distant future?
The half-arachnid Grot Scuttlings from Silver Tower aren't the Grotbag Scuttlers mentioned in this month's WD I'm afraid! I think the latter are some form of Grot sky-pirates from what I gathered reading online from others.
