  1. Hi

I am working on a 800pts event for my local shop, it will be more narrative and less comptitive, event. We will have two teams one AoS team second compedium old world team. The idea is to show old players AoS and also have fun.  (have fun is the most important part)

My problem is at 3 stage of the event I am planning for players to have a special cards with extra things. They will come in two categories strong one and weak one, and will be given after stage 2 to the wining player. Eg if you win a scenario that has a objective to find a artefact you will get a  2 cards of a magic weapon to use. One for you the second to give to your team mate.

The problem I have is balancing it, I do wish for them to be useful I do not wish for them to ruin the game by making it auto win.

What would you consider a good thing, +1 save for a unit? D6 mortal wound one use only ?

Is a sword 3 mortal wound to powerful for a 800 pts game?

I hope the 1000 point game mode takes off. It seems interesting and it’s a good size for me (small enough I can do multiple armies without going bankrupt, but big enough that I can still include some bigger monsters and stuff which tend to be my favourite models).

Also it is A great format for people that like converting their armies

    Less work

Well, bar Chainrasp, every Nighthaunt so far has been stated to be the Soul of some mass murderer or assassin. These, according to the initial reveal, are specifically those who hunted other people for sport.

But, seriously, GW can claim these are not skaven at all as much as they want, it seems clear to me that they wheredesigned with skaven in mind, they even wield skaven style polearms!

My guess is they got cold feet or the lorekeeper at GW pulled the plug on skaven ghosts, but the miniatures where either to far in developement or they just liked the design to much, so they where rebranded.

The only other explanation is that they only accidentially look totally like skaven and nobody noticed. Which does not seem likely to me.

Pity too. As @BrownDog correctly points out, skaven would normally not go to Nagash, so it could have been an interesting story to explain that Skaven ghosts are a rarity and how they come about (the ghosts of Warlords who threw in with Nagash to continue their existence at any cost or get out of TGHR punishing them for failure, for example)

I think they are to big for a skaven skull, The miniature looks biger then your Clan Rat and the skull is (I think) twice the head of a Clan Rat
