We allready have cross GA model in game now. Aleguzzler Gargant same model and rules in chaos and destruction

No, its not. One is the Aleguzzler Destruction Giant the other is a Chaos Giant. Its similar rules on two warscrolls but not the same exact unit in two Alliances at the same time.

Is it likely we have already saw some of the deep kin as rumour engines? The time frame of release and how they cover ne models implies to me that they have . I'm going dakka dakka for a revisit! Wish me luck ?

OK im back. I'm thinking definitely the octopus and hand holding chains.  Also there are some still unrevealed ones that look a bit steam punk that were apparently not KO

Yes! Look at the bottom left of this picture I found on Spikey Bits. (https://spikeybits.com/2017/11/17-rumor-engine-pics-can-you-identify-them.html)

Hmm I'm not so sure ; Morathi's base are clearly aelvish - Azyrite ruin means Sigmar / Stormcast / Azyrheim style ruins...

Someone has such a kit ? https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Realm-Of-Battle-Moon-Base-Klaisus-2017 Is it any good, durable  (quality wise) ?

The Moon Base set includes the Ryza Pattern Ruins. I got one set separately. They are relatively simple but they have the right size. A cheap way to get lots of infantry sized cover.

The Khanites made of Elven souls and morathi blood are the new monsters I mentioned.

Seraching the World for Pieces of Khaine is the same thing as the Fyreslayers. The Old Cult was Lead by Morathi who used it as a way to gain power, but who never cared a bit about it and was primarily a Slaanesh worshiper.  (She followed any deity for power.) A few of the methods and members changed but it's sill largely the same.

And still makes no sense as Order. Who we might as well rename GA Miscellaneous at this point.

Ofcourse things are similar, they want to have some continuity when they rework a faction. They take the existing themes and take them in a new direction. Morathi is still scheming and looking for ways to gain power, because thats her character but the way how she tries to achieve this in the mortal realms are new.

Everything can be boring if you reduce it enough. For example: Kharadron Overlords are exactly the same as the old Warhammer Dwarfs! Both have complicated machines and airships, both mine precious metals, both have grudges. Exactly the same!

To make an analogy, the Daughters of Khaine are a new branch growing out of the old Dark Elves tree. Not a completely new tree like the Stormcast Eternals.

There is no twist and the Cult of Khaine is the exact same as it is in Fantasy. They just have some extra monsters.

Have you seen the video? They are not the same. They are still blood thirsty fanatics but the rest changed.
Old Khanites weren't made out of elven souls and morathi blood. The old cult didnt searched the old world looking for pieces of Khaine. The old cult wasn't lead by Morathi who has the heart of Khaine and uses the prayers and rituals of the Khanites to ascend to godhood.

They are similar but they are not the same.

  6. So, after reading trough the preview article my thoughts:

First Morathi: "While you’ll start each game with Morathi in her form as an aelven queen, you can choose to transform her in any of your turns, while damaging her can cause her to lose control unexpectedly" I think this will be an interesting mechanic. You start the game with aelf Morathi. Smaller, weaker in close combat but with powerful command abilities and magic. The player can now decide when to give up these abilities in exchange for a powerful giant flying monster. While also giving the opponent a way to counter this by triggering the transformation by hurting her.

Second: "offering new ways to build your army under the auspices of particular strongholds of the cults" looks like the cult strongholds will be similar to the Kharadron Skyports or the other subfactions GW is implementing in the new 40K codex at the moment (Forge Worlds, Regiments, Necron Dynasties). Which is greatly appreciated. This is one of my favorite elements of 40K and the Kharadrons right now.

"You can even field the Khainite statue that usually stands atop the Shrine as a separate unit" Sounds awesome, but im not sure if the Statue is supposed to be a moving unit (representing a animated golem?) or just a piece of army specific scenery like the Brayherds herdstone or the Nurgle Gnarlmaw. Either way, I fun addition and a perfect use of the blood cauldron set.

Also, can we please appreciate the Battletome cover art? I think this is one of the darkest cover artworks to date. Murderouse fanatics, giant idols of a dark god and a bloody sky. I love it!

I don't plan on starting a Daughters of Khaine army, but I will get a Battletome just for the story alone!

Wasn't it Mannan (god of the seas in the old world or world that was)not Manthlan?

Wouldn't count on that. Old factions are not that much of a focus, unless they are Chaos.

There will be a Battletome for the Daughters of Khaine. A old faction that will continue to use old models.

Sure, GW may focus on new factions, but them revising old factions like the Phoenix Temple or the Swifthawk Agents has become more likely.

With completely new design, will it be correct to call them aelves?

I think the "completly new design" means that the faction has all new kits, think Kharadron Overlords instead of Daughters of Khaine. (no corsairs in the new faction)

This....although I bet it would look really nice. Aquatic creatures on land is quite awkward. Though if the sea horses in mention was a chimera of a horse and a seahorse it might look ok, a sea dragon could also look agile enough on land....

maybe they could live on sunken islands who the can magically rise to the surface, run into the beach and charge....I have the cinematic stunning in my head now....I’ve changed my mind. It would be awesome!

Yeah, aelfs riding literal fishes could be awkward.

Maybe they are going for more fish-inspired magical creatures (like how the screamers of tzeentch are basicly deamonic rays).
Or maybe they arent living creatures at all, instead magical constructs inspired by aquatic animals?
Like the constructs in Disneys Atlantis:

  10. I have a few head cannons about how the Chaos Dwarfs came to be, but this isn't the place for them.

The only official piece of lore I know about is a short reference in the short story "Auction of Blood" by Josh Reynolds, a Tie-In to the Spear of Darkness Book.

  11. The city of Zodange from the 2012 film John Carter could easily be one of the bigger Cogforts. In generell, a lot of the stuff in that movie could fit into the mortal realms.

Besides that, I think its not too hard to build a smaller version for the tabletop game. A few WHFB towers, a few mechanical parts and large smoke stacks combined with the turrets from the Kharadron Ironclad und Frigates and you have a small scale "Gear bastion".

Or flame cannon, or dwarf bolt thrower...

Or a entire Kharadron Overlords Arkanaut Ironclad. All the dwarfen ships have the WAR MACHINE Keyword. A buff to hit rolls, plus re-rolling ones trough the Knight-Azyros and shooting twice because of the Ordinator will result in a exterminatus level of firepower.

  13. @Aos Forge I think maybe we are going to see upgrade kits for the new plastic sets. The whole Kharadron line would be perfect for this. Add a few new turrets to a airship, a few guns for the arkanauts and if they sell well, maybe we are going to see some of the bigger Airships teased in the battletome. We know that they selled really well and GW is looking into releasing more Sky Dwarfs.

A slightly off-topic question for the exalted rumourmongers. Is there a chance there will be an AOS release from Forgeworld in not that distatnt future? And I mean full faction/subfaction release like Legion of Azgorh or Tamurkhan's Horde? I suspect the answer is no, but I still have to ask because I like their stuff a lot.

It was said around Christmas that they are nearly finished putting a new AoS Team together. Im not sure how quick Forge World works but I think we still have to wait a bit longer before we can see anything new.

  15. Are we sure that they put eveything they have into that Video?
Because it feels like there are still a few things missing from it:

-another build for the GUO (like the LOC/Kairos kit and Blood Deamon/Skarbrand)
-a small deamon hero like the changeling
-Pestigors?? (Atia teased them a while back)

    EDIT: found it

Besides the fantastic looking Blight Kings, beasts and GUO, the one Plague Bearer on the left is everything nurgle should be. The trunk, the scrolls of parchment going trough his belly and the giant maw on his shoulder, everything about him is deeply upsetting and perfectly fitting for a servant of nurgle!

Also, whats the deal with the Blight Tree? Is it going to be a piece of scenery like the wyldwoods are for the Sylvaneth, or is it going to be a real unit?

    7) two Eight Lamentations Short Stories (Josh Reynolds)

Im really excited about this. Short stories mean Spear of Shadows sold well enough. I hope for more Eight Lamentations books. The first one is full of things that make Age of Sigmar unique.

I know right, I don't want to be a downer but it seems like the idea is being a bit over hyped.

Its not overhyped. We are pretty sure they are coming. The only question is when.
The Cthulhu elven rumor was started by a comment coming from Hastings over on War-of-Sigmar. He has a pretty good track record. Back in mid 2016 he talked about the Kharadron release, he even described the looks of the Skyrigger kit.

I think the elven were planned for the end of 2017 but GW was forced to change their plans as a reaction to the production problems in Nottingham.

  19. I just looked through the Total War: Warhammer Forum and found something interessting.

    User Gamge wrote:

"[...] I know in an investors report they singled out the Kharadron in particular as being very very successful even for AoS. None of the armies released for AoS barring the Stormcast have had any new models released after their first wave. GW has basically said we'll definitely see more of the Kharadron Overlords in the future. So they sure did something right with them. So it means that at least the Overlords did good enough to get green lit for more support in the future. [...]"

Has anyone heared something similar? A second wave of models for a non-stormcast army would be something new for Age of Sigmar.  Are the Kharadrons the first army to sell well enough, or are they just getting a higher priority and we get more for the older AoS armies down the line?

I wouldn't worry, it's very clear that we are getting something new for AoS come 2018 for each grand alliance.

But for something slightly different, where did this "Cthulhu Aelves" thing come from because I've not seen any proper evidence for it?

The Deep Ones/Cthulhu Aelven rumor started after a comment from Hastings on War-of-Sigmar back in April.

I still think we will get them. Hastings was right about the Kharadron Release (including details about minitures) Back in 2016. Maybe there has been a re-scheduling because of the rumored production Problems?

In the process of creating it.  No idea what this will mean, but there will be a team of people dedicated to AoS in the same way as they've got a team for Lord of the Rings and Specialist Games.

Finaly! Maybe FW will make all the different Kharadron skyvessels GW teased in the Battletome.
