It is an informed opinion. Sad Panda never came out and said it but he was speaking as if they were different products, Hastings also inferred they were different.

Finally the kit itself. A Lord of change wears robes not armour and has a different body.

The only point of similarity is the wings. I also think they want to make the primarchs as distinct as possible.

A kairos fateweaver loc combo is much more likely. It would just need a head and weapon swap.

I guess your take is as likely and perhaps more logical than Magnus being a dual kit.

The clipped model to the right on the box art is perhaps the key though, it looks like robes but also a smaller scale maybe.

  2. I think you should buy what you like style wise and not worry about fluff or rules. However, there is one circumstance that makes me nervous when thining of a new faction to buy into and that's 'potential for new updated models shortly after I've purchased'

Well, love it or hate it the market apparently demands infinite Space Marines and it's hard to fault GW too much for picking low-hanging fruit.

Anyone who says they dont want space marines or stormcast is just a hipster

Yep, guessing Sacrosanct is the mystical types, just hedging my bets suggesting ruination. ;)

Assuming Sacrosanct is wizards and Ruination is cannons, it sure would be neat to see a few aelf and duardin Stormcast in the appropriate chambers.

They are all going to be big golden idiots but Ive grown to love them now.

Tbh if they release a dwarf scaled like a regular stormcast is to a human and armoured like a stormcast (basically a stumpy stormcast), ppl will lose their ****** thinking of proxying them as all sorts and using them for normal dwarf conversions and so on.

Nice to see the much alluded to Steamhead Duardin release finally approaching us. The above image is obviously a metal dwarf with a long cloak riding up on his jetpack. ;)

My money's on Sacrosanct or Ruination Chambers. Though a names Stormcast special character or two would be cool.

I always thought ruination would be warmachines (thinking theyd flesh out stormcast) but it could be wizardy stuff, sacrosanct (where I thought wizardy priests would be) could be wholly devoted to monkery or priestery then.

    Leaving just Auxillary.

Man stormcast have a lot of depth to come.

I might not even leave them ever, other than a side project army (still to be decided)

  6. They really don't need wizardry or magic to make this work. They just setup a catalogue that people can 'request' a rerun of minis from.

Once a mini or box of minis hits a 'costs covered and profits generated' threshold they can use their existing production means to do a release.

Then they hope that everyone who said they would buy actually buys. That'd be the fly in the ointment.

Excellent work on these. Very characterful! Are you using a light box for your photos?

You wouldnt believe the rubbish thing I built for myself that works!

Old box, 3 sides cut out. Add parchment paper.

I feel a repackaged Belegar modeled without the backbanner would have been nicer.

This is the thing there are a lot of better models to repack with a tweak.

So my gut feeling is this is like the extra retributors everywhere - a nice bonus that no one can be angry at but you know in your bones its business behind it.

They've a stack of this model in comparison to other models they considered.

    Makes sense.

For me, this model is one of the best designed dwarf models I've ever seen so I'm not particularly annoyed.

Question is - price? Original is still in stock. Warscroll will be free...

Nope, it is two different things:

-Free Slaughterpriest with September-issue (confirmed by many retailers)

-The new White Dwarf Model goes up for pre-order tomorrow ($ 20 is what I have read). He is NOT free with WD. Now what I want are images of this dwarf and information about Steamhead!

    I suspected something like this.

I am also not 100% given how the White Dwarf is always a bit of a departure from, or maybe a better term is 'above', the style of the dwarfs that are around at the time he's released.

All the same, he might have a few steamhead hint elements.

  10. They just posted on their FB page about Grombrindal returning.

Riddle me this though, has any one confirmed or denied that we're looking at 2 different things:

    1.  A free mini with the first copy (physical in shop buy too) - the rumoured AoS existing clampack.

    2.  A Free 'White Dwarf' with a White Dwarf years subscription.
