Still I am wondering who is the dude in the banner? The third one, do you think it relates to warcry? Maybe they might hint towards slaanesh then?

  2. Dont think anyone has posted this yet but GW NZ just posted images from White Dwarf and you can see the models for the Goblins.

    https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/White-Dwarf-October-2018-eng

looks like 7 goblins (Shaman, fanatic, netter, herder, 3 archers) plus 2 squig

Guessing these and Tzeentch will only be a couple of weeks away.

  3. Have to say for those craving more of this amazing madness check out Mr DeWitt in the Power Pals podcast (warning if you think Painty Men is explicit this goes a whole new level) , in particular Show 4 where he explains Warhammer to his fellow hosts.  Need to stop listening to these shows at work as I look like a madman giggling to myself.

Thank you again John and Andrew for this amazing injection of fun to the hobby.  Maybe if I ever get my grey plastic men painted so I'm not a d**k I will challenge you to a game.

So it looks to me like the Mortarch of Grief will be dressed in her wedding/mourning dress.  I'm guessing wedding as she is flanked by the two spirits like brides maids.  The spirit on the left can be seen in the original trailer carrying the broken time glass, you can also see the white of the flowing parts of her dress.

Just realized why I'm getting a bride theme from this model, the head dress and rose thorns are stylized like Tim Burton's Corpse Bride.  This must have been an influence on this range.

  6. I'm sure people have spotted this already and I'm guessing there wont be models related to these, at least for now, but just seen the flying whale and giant tentacles on the cover of the Deepkin book and thought there is a lot of potential there for big sea monsters at a later point.

Know anything is possible in the Mortal Realms but those are fish swimming through the ship's beams?

Confused by this one as would not expect so much Sigmar iconography if part of an Aelf release, feel they will have their own even if part of order.  I'm swaying more for scenery, but think it will be part of a release.

  8. Hey Austin,

I'm interested in attending this tournament, just need to get the all clear with the wife but should be fine.

Going to muster up 2000 pts mixed chaos.  Afraid its mostly grey plastic still as I have had very little time to paint so far and I'm going to use a bunch of really old metal chaos I have to fill the ranks.  But I was looking at Green Towers FB page and you seemed to indicate this would be ok.

This will be my first real chance to play a competitive game of AOS but really want to get playing a bit more.

  9. Hi,

Know this is kinda answered above but I have been rebasing a bunch of older models and mostly keeping to the regular sizes.  However there have been a few models which just looked so much better on larger base sizes as the suggested felt too cramped aesthetically .

Just wondered how those regularly playing base to base and those running tournaments feel about oversized when not designed for advantage?

For example I have based my skaven characters on 32mm and the warlord from island of blood on a 40mm as it gives the model room to breath on the base and room for some basing material.

I have also been painting Nagash on his old rectangular base.  I'm really reluctant to rebase anyway as been adding some interesting details but been considering transferring to round but the current GW size is 130mm, this looks cramped to me and I would have to loose a lot of the basing materials.  Been considering the 160mm as think this will look great.

My worry is I would not be able to use these if I ever want to play tournaments as they would not be "legal"

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

    Andrew
