    Any thoughts on this list?

    Nation: Not sure yet

    Cathallar

    Loreseeker

    Sevireth

    Wardens, 3 units of 10

    Sentinels, 3 units of 10

Hurakan Windchargers, 2 units of 5

    Rune of Petrification

    Auralean Legion

I think it is better to take a unit of 20 Sentinels versus multiple small ones.  Easier to deliver the damage where you want it while doing enough of it to make a difference.

I feel like they’re unique for several reasons. The fluff of course, but also I think having the ability to take a whole bunch of quite strong heroes and chucking them all 3” away from the enemy turn 1, or being able to take all the objectives before the game starts, would be absurd. So I’m totally fine with only being able to take 1. But I do think that they should be able to take relics.

Listen, it is POSSIBLE that I ordered two of these guys before the battletome previews were up.  I'm gonna need you to get on board here.

So the bladebringers and the loreseeker have truly pushed me into the wanting to build up that LrL box I've got and make an army XD Those models are gorgeous ❤️

I'm also pretty happy with the rules for the ballista, it looks like it'll be pretty fun to play. I may end up seeing how well I can go in my local club with a list utilising a lot of bladebringers and some other nice models put in (rule of cool!)

My favourite thing about this release has been how there's now a lot of options for list building and a few different playstyles (especially for more casual environments)

Yeah the variety is really the thing for me.  I can choose many different ways to play, all with great models.

I don't know what your post is about.

Mine was not a threat or something. I know that this decision won't change anything. It's just that I am getting old... I don't want to spend time on something that is not making fun.

And playing against such stupid rules, this includes Idoneth as well, is for me personally not fun.

And yes. In the end this could mean that I will sell all my armies and do a different hobby. So etching that is less stressful.

I am talking about the fact that you came to a thread specifically for people who want to discuss LRL, to proclaim that someone saying a new unit looked fun was crazy/dumb/fill-in unfriendly term and to tell everyone here that you decided you won't play against them.

If you are looking for better ways to spend your time......

    Guys... Seriously.

    Severith, a fun model?

I Just read the rules and Mlmade the decision to refuse to play against LRL in the future. This is everything but not fun.

That is what I am talking about.  Excellent decision.  Did you throw away your armies yet?  That is in Appendix A of the new battletome.  Listen, I don't make the rules, but you do have to follow them.

They can shut down the board to keep the fox from moving away and the charge him?

You did it. You fed the troll. Easily understandable but you must be on guard right now comrade!

Look for signs like follow ups where they say “keep in mind no spells will be cast” or “don’t forget LRL make you auto lose and throw away your army.”

I think Severith has the potential to be an interesting and fun model but can someone explain to me how say FEC or nurgle could ever kill it?  Keep in mind these factions will likely not be able to get any spells off either.

They probably cannot.  If you play those armies, I'd advise quitting now.

I haven't paid attention to AoS basically at all since lockdown started (decided to focus on Warcry and Underworlds during the downtime), and this is kinda what I came back to.

I know there's a lot of good rules in LRL, but you'd think the models actively poisoned the opponent with how mad people are. Oh well, isn't the first time, won't be the last. Remember the amount of salt when Tzeentch 1.0 came out with Destiny Dice and Skyfires?

I am absolutely not a GW apologist, a quick view of my past posts will make that clear haha, but usually if things are really truly broken it becomes apparent once the play happens at tournament level.  I am not sure LRL are at that level, at least when I look at them.

Is the Caligrave good? His once off aura ability is interesting. And why the Regent? His spell I assume?

EDIT: I realise I probably come across a bit short haha, I’m just interested, cos I haven’t really played much Sigmar recently so honestly I don’t quite know what’s good and what isn’t these days. I don’t need anything super competitive though, just something to be competent.

I didn't take it that way at all.  Yeah spell for Regent, also he looks cool haha.

I’m kinda tempted to just go with my original idea then when I first started to buy these dudes and go Ymetrica with cow units.

    HEROES

    - Eltharion

    - Stonemage

    - Avalenor

    BATTLELINE

    - 20x Wardens

    - 20x Wardens

    - 20x Sentinels

    - 10x Dawnriders

    - 10x Stoneguard

    ENDLESS SPELLS

    - Sanctum of Amyntok

    1960pts

Just think about how tall the Stonemage will be on the Sanctum lol.

I realized I didn’t address first question. If you want Vanari heavy list, I would definitely get the new mounted hero, but I would also buy a couple more Sentinel boxes.  Lore seekers and Calligrave for sure.

Dawnriders for me are hard to use, but amazing models. So that’s totally up to taste.  I don’t have a tremendous amount of table time with them.

I’m not sure what to buy myself. I don’t own too much just yet, so I can go a bunch of ways, but I’m thinking of a Vanari heavy list. So far I have: Eltharion, 10x Wardens, 10x Sentinels, 5x Dawnriders, a Stonemage, Avalenor, and 5x Stoneguard.

But I’m thinking maybe something like:

    HEROES

    - Eltharion

    - Cathellar

    - Loreseeker

    BATTLELINE

    - 20x Wardens

    - 20x Wardens

    - 20x Sentinels

    - 10x Dawnriders

    - 5x Bladelords

    OTHER

    - Ballista

    - Ballista

    ENDLESS SPELLS

    - Sanctum of Amyntok

    1890pts

    so 110pts left, any suggestions?

So I am really not sold on multiple Ballistas, especially when you already have a unit of 20 Sentinels.  I assume this list is intentionally not using temple units?  If that is the case I might another unit of Sentinels (if you do drop the ballista).  If not, finding room for a battle cow of any variety seems like a good idea.

Yeah we can get a bunch of CP but almost no abilities.

    My pre-orders are done : ). 😁

My friend, I just dropped so much money haha.

I ended up doing 3 units of Windchargers, and 2x each of Loreseekers, Bladelords, and Windmages.  Plus a ballista, regent, calligrave, and Sephireth.

  13. Ok- saw the warscrolls on the NZ page.  The Windchargers are GOOD.  That is a nice surprise.  The 360 of the Loreseeker is awesome also.

As to the other thread on General, I just will say again there is not much to be gained from trying to reason someone away from a poorly informed or biased opinion, especially on the internet.  Just let whomever wants to be in that thread complaining do their thing, we can do ours here.

This is too good a release to spend any time at all feeding trolls.

    High Elves are back!

  14. Can we just take a moment and appreciate the claims of a Negative Play Experience about models that literally nobody has played against yet (outside beta testers)?

And don’t tell me it’s “because I can tell how the rules will play” when the justification for calling something a NPE in this exact thread is how it feels to actually play against it, not theorycraft it.

    Give me a break.
