  1. After I d written off Bonesplitterz for my double Rogue Idol list. I ve given them a go at our local event th8s we. List was drakkfoot

Prophet, big boss, 3x10 morboyz, 10 maniaks, 4 big stabbas, 2 rogue idols in alpha beast pack

    3 drops

and it was a lot of fun.

My first game was against Teclis and 50 sentinels 1 drop and lrl got the win but by a single point at 33 to 34 in ceins of guhr.

The prophet did 13 MW to Teclis and deleted him. This was priceless

My 2nd game against sce hammer of sigmar 1 drop. Was a unit 9f 4 fulminator, stardrake, 2x 5 vindictors, 2x3 anihilators some foot heroes

I misjudged how damaging 4 fulminators can be on the charge and gave 1 rogue idol away thinking all out defense and waagh it will survive and. The stardrake had reroll save and -1 to wound so I ended up failing to kill the beast and lost this game without contest

Last game was another stormcast ( a popular army at the moment 😀)

    Knight excelssior

    6 vanguard raptors with longstrike

Lord relictor, lord imperitant, knight incantor,  Yndrasta, 3 units of anihilators, , 1 unit of 5 protectors

Like the last 2 games my opponent took the first turn after my pre game moves (seeing rogue idols that close to your lines tend to do that) He killed a rogue idol after 2 round of shooting with the longstrike dropped all 3 units of anihilators and yndresta in my blocks. Called waagh turn 1 and succeeded to deny a lot of the damage this alpha list can do

I got the double turn going 1 to 2 and 10 morboyz or 5 after an unleash hell managed to kill 5 out 6 of the raptors

Killed Yndrasta with big stabbas. Struggled a bit with 2+ saves anihilators and protectors but ended up winning that one by a single point.  Big Stabbas and the prophet mask saved me against those units

Overral it s a fun army to play. It s got games and I never felt I was outclassed and I look forward to play more games with them. The now conditionnal battleline has really hurt my 2.0 list. The numerous 2+ armor units in the game felt like it was a problem for an army with no rend but thats why big stabbas and rogue idol feel needed in a list outside of icebone. I really liked the morboyz as min battleline. They have so many attacks

  2. I personally hope they do not nerf our summoning. It s a mechanic that is well under  control with the current sets of rules in place for it ( only 1 unit a turn, limited amount of depravity generated, depravity is acquired at the end of turn while summoning happens at the end of the Slaanesh player movement phase, no more heroes and a smashed fane mean no summoning)

  3. So we had a 1 day event at our local shop and 3 hedonites list out of 20 players we were the highest representation at the event! Best of us went 1 win and 2 loss. He won against another Slaanesh players. I faced Host arcanum Tzeentch, Sob 4 mega with white dwarf battallions and ko.

The winter faq cannot come soon enough! We really need help for the faction to be more  competitive

  4. I ve been giving the forgeworld keeper more game time. So far he s outperformed the regular keeper every game. The spare points is just the cherry on top. I ve found the excess of violence ca that he lacks I never used anyway because of how it got rewritten and the limitations of ca usage in aos3 I tend to always go for all out defense or all out attack instead

The better bracket means he still can do some  damage after he s taken some wounds and the tendrils are fun when relevant in a hero on hero fight. The d3 depravity generated every combat phase from it makes your opponent think twice about sticking around

Thanks! What a great deal. Love that model and just recently started Kruleboyz.

Yep they were given the Kruleboyz keyword but they do not benefit from the Venom encrusted weapons rule because they lost the Orruk keyword in exchange. Everything else is fair game however and they now only start degrading after 9 wounds which is a big deal!

  6. Played my first games with double rogue idols in Kruleboyz this week end in a 1 day event and they are really potent! Noisy racket make them super tanky for 1 battleround. It feels its got the movement tricks they used to have in Bonesplitterz (RIP) between suppa sneaky, sneaky miasma, alpha beast pack My only loss was to a 4 megagargant list with 3 artifacts and this was just due to dice rolls. I felt the list answered really well the SoB meta. Also super happy to get second best sport at the event. Love how the list does its thing but does not offend my opponent doing it. Everything dies if enough pressure is applied, the army lets my opponent play his game,  it s not SoB

    List was

    Allegiance: Kruleboyz
    - Warclan: Big Yellers

So, finally took the plunge here.  Been working on my first army and getting it ready for a local GT.  One of the folks at my LGS decided he’d rather play Kruelboyz instead of Slaanesh.  I had a few units that I could have used to expand my first army(Ironjawz) into big Waagh…. But decided to swap them for a few pieces of Slaanesh to get myself started.

indo not have the tome yet, it’s on order but figured I’d see if anyone here had advice on where to look to build out this group of units into making a serviceable list.  I do not need to be ultra competitive, I just don’t want to be conceding before the end of 3.

the units I got are 2 start collecting daemons on sprue, dexcessa on sprue, contorted, enchantress, 15 seekers, and 3 fiends.

    questions I immediately have are:

can Dexcessa be built as the caster variant?  I feel like that’s stronger, but I could be wrong.

best build for the SC chariots?

I have Sigvald and a Keeper already ordered at the LGS as I love their models.  I know I need to get the Fane.  Any other staples I’m missing?  Any suggestions on how to get this shaped into a decent army for friendly games?

Welcome to the HoS group. First thing you re going to need are 3 battlelines. Daemonettes while great to summon are very bad at 140pts for 10

You ll want more deamonettes to summon however 20 from the 2 start collecting won t be enough. 40 is probably a good number

Hellstriders are you best pick for your battlelines maybe you can convert those seekers you got into hellstriders you won t need 15 seekers. If you play godseekers, you can also build the regular chariots and field those as your battleline! But with Sigvald you ll probably should play Lurid Haze to teleport him turn 1 in the enemy line

The vice leader on exalted chariot is a  good hero but a pain to put together and takes twice the footprint of the regular chariot base provided for it! Again maybe a conversion can help to make it fit its base

If dexcessa is new in box, it can be build as Synessa currently considered the better half of the twins in game

What s an enchantress?  Is it the enrapturess? If so it s a good summon or even bring 1 to start and summon more as needed ( I normally start with 1 in my list and have 2 more available for summoning)

pretty tough. I think the best you can do is like 7 (7 vertical front model with 3 horizontal in the back for coherency). So to get 10 in combat you would need to squeeze them between 2 or more ennemies units. With spear you could get all 10 rider (6 front 4 rear) but boar in the back row could not attack

You can do 8 in combat, you only need 2 in horizontal in the back to cover the two extremities for coherency

    • Thanks 1
  9. I keep thinking double rogue idols are now better in Kruleboyz than in Bonesplitterz where they have our old movement tricks with a spell to move in the hero phase, ability to redeploy anywhere on the board at the beginning of the game and other shenanigans they can do

  10. That box gives you a good start with 4 battleline units. You ll want to get more deamonettes to be able to summon 30 as 1 unit, the fane of Slaanesh,  our terrain piece to summon from then you will need more heroes. If you like the mortal side I would suggest Sigvald and a shardspeaker to cast mystic shield.

You ll now have about 1k

Going to 2k you can invest in more expensive heroes like Glutos and a keeper of secret that you can field (always with an amulet of destiny) or summon.  Add some painbringers or twinsouls to taste

The way the army plays is to play the objectives and generate as many depravity points as you can early to replenish your army before you get tabled. If you can generate enough, you can win some games.

None of our subfactions really stand out so if there s a command trait and/or artefact you like from one sub faction , pick that one. Although when playing Sigvald,  Lurid Haze a sub faction of Invaders from the Wrath of the Everchosen expansion book makes the most sense as it gives you the ability to redeploy Sigvald in enemy line and charge with him on turn 1

IMHO you can't set up out of deep strike Judicators/Melusai or 36" range of blind shooting Sentinels.
And one of these players targets one of your only 2 heroes. And we're talking about a single unit... then there's the rest of the army.

Boys, I let's research the battle reports if possible, because this list in the hand on many will do near nothing, out of being pityful.
I wanna see what Bill Souza have done and then talk about it.

And KO, and Tzeentch. I ve seen a somewhat similar list with low heroes and all the blissbarb seekers go 0 and 5

Really would like to have seen a game with it.

Would be cool to see one of the best player in the world play the list he made. If only GW streamed some of the aos games at their US events. They only stream the 40k side of it. It s a real shame

Also, as a Slaanesh player, I would have loved to play against that list giving me all these depravity points! 😀

There were definitely some bad matchups that the list avoided

I'm pretty sure that must always have been the case, looking at my battletome, but I'm certain, for whatever reason, I and a decent chunk of others have played it on a to hit.

And yeah, it's almost definitely a simple mistake caused by most MWs being on a to hit, but I definitely remember thinking two things: "it's a slight nerf to Glutos in AoS 3 as 6s can't explode and do mortal wounds" and "it's weird that Painbringer Kyazu does mortal wounds on a hit and the other Painbringers do it on a wound".

Obviously I'm mistaken, but usually with mistakes like that, they'd be because I didn't read it carefully enough, but for this I feel I put specific thought into it, and a few other people were of a similar mindset. It's definitely a mistake, just a weird shared one.

What could be confusing is that the dread pageant warband from underworld does mortal wounds on 6s to hit
