It was not good and I got tabled turn 3 by a not tournament veteran stormcast player using Gotrek. He had 2 units of 2 fulminators and gotrek in bounty hunters. A unit of 2 fulminators in bounty hunters deleted 30 deamonettes on the charge. He got the first double turn 2 to 3 which brought gotrek on my line after 2 6in run and he tabled me top of 3. I was able to get to 18 dp bottom of turn 2 and get a 5+ ward on the army yet the army remained very fragile. Geminids is very good for DP generation but my opponent did also not understand it and never tried to dispell it. Looking back I probably should have given him the double turn 1 to 2 to avoid getting doubled when gotrek was in charge range2nd game I faced a mortal Slaanesh army with blissbarb archers / twinsouls and purple sun in lurid haze. He deleted my keeper on his first purple sun roll which made me sad. We played 5 turns but mortals and deamons in Slaanesh are on a different scale with the last point update and he finished like 10 points ahead of me after I had only one 30 deamonettes unit on the table.
If it wasn t for purple sun deleting my keeper we would have had a much closer game
I dropped out of the event after my second game as I was getting really tired. After my event, I d say Slaanesh daemons remains in a terrible place despite the few point drops they got and the white dwarf update. They remain good summoning units but are not worth their point to start with them on the table. I can only hope we see some good change in the next point update for them

Going to give pure Slaanesh deamons a try again at a 1 day event this WE despite them getting very few point drops in this ghb

guys i think krondspine generate depravity, but watching on rules u gain DP at the end of the battleshock and krondspine heal herself during battleshock phase. is there some FAQ? or the fact u rolling the heal her cound as it was wounded so u got DP? u know how it works ? im just curious
It takes wounds and heal or delevel at the end of the turn. As long as it took any wounds you ll get depravity for it

(there is a Event i play in the end of Agust and i can play NurgleMassFly (stupid boring ) or Hedonits but i dont wont to be an the last place automaticlly
The krondspine is a good choice in most armies and it is very good in hedonites of slaanesh. It provides the army the staying power it lacks to be able to still have an army in the later turns and be able to summon. It is a great piece to get the big enemy threats stuck in and generate depravitiy points until he eventually falls. By that time you should have enough points to generate 30 deamonettes while your opponents will have suffered heavy losses from it. I like this list better than the one with glutos with all the purple sun showing up at events.

No Slaanesh faq is disappointing
-
In my experience, the celestial tome Slaanesh got did not help us in any way now that battlescroll update for khorne is so good! They get abilities and summoning while we get one OR the other and we re still paying a premium on all the hedonites units outside of 4 warscrolls they just removed the summoning tax from
-
What s weird is they left the rules f9r coalitiin unit do not count toward your number of battleline in the battle traits in the app, but no mention of allies. Hopefully this gets clarified soon

Yes they are

I have just ordered loads of blissbarb archers and symbaresh twinsouls to bolster my ranks 😀
Now find some child labors to assemble those archers because I will not suffer through that ever again

Maybe to Much for the first step, but jes:
I think the Points had to go a littel bit down again.
Blissbarb 150
Sigvald 225
Painbringers 125
Twinssouls 135
Seekblade S. 200
Blissbarb Archer 180.....
With Points like this we are Abel too fit 1 or 2 more Units in our Army (on 2k) so we are Abel to Play the DP-Summoning Game...
I should have been more clear, these are the new ghb points gw just released online!

Now these point changes are worthwhile:
Blissbarb 140
Sigvald 205
Painbringers 120
Twinsouls 130

It is sad that we were punished for Nurgle and Tzeentch sins who abused the coalition rules. It now means that our coalition heroes can t even get artefacts from our battletome because they are locked in our subfaction keyword.
What the chaos warrior provide is a solid anvil that will last long enough for our summoning units to arrive at a much lower point than painbringers. I ve had good results with a unit of 20 and glutos to make them harder to be hit

I dont think that's what that ruling implies and the warscroll builder doesnt seem to think so either, but i personally wouldnt mind letting someone count their chaos warriors as battlelines in a hedonites army (and give them the HEDONITE keyword) anyway.
The warhammer app implies it that way reinforcing the faq but apparently there are zero mention of coalition units in the latest ghb so this might go away
-

Ah yeah, but that's just a ruling for that one battle plan. As far as i can see, they havent changed the core rules about coalition units not counting toward the minimum battleline you must take.
Not that I know but at least, from this ruling chaos warriors are battleline in every other aspect in slaanesh so can be GV and fight on 2 ranks

From this ruling the the last ghb errata
Q: Are coalition units with the Battleline battlefield role treated as
having that battlefield role for The Backbone of Success rule in the
Power in Numbers battleplan?
A: Yes. -

Sorry for my noob question, but are Chaos Warriors also battleline in an Slaanesh army?
They did not count toward your minimum battleline requirement in the previous ghb (no idea if this is changing) but they remain a battleline unit per the latest ghb faq

Is an allied Festus the Leechlord our only source of armor debuffs? I've been considering running him alongside some twinsouls to give them some amount of armor penetration, but I'm curious if there's anything I can stack him with
Hurler of obscenities command trait in Invaders is also a possibility if you dont run lurid haze and make your general a support piece. I ve had good results with it on a contorded epitome

Hello,
On another note regarding upcoming Battletomes, for the Chaos one, don't you think it could be Tzeentch? With the classic "battle tome + one character" scheme, I thought back to this rumor engine:
If we take into account the White Dwarf's celestial tomes, they and Khorne remain as potential candidates (if I remember correctly) for coming out this fall.
Khorne recently got a celestial tome but it s been quickly forgotten since it didn t help the faction

You're viewing all the aggregate data since the edition started. Last I took a look we've done a bit better as the meta has shifted more recently. Not stellar certainly, but there's some improvement.
But yeah, we're in a bad place, and I'm not going to argue that this update has brought us to a fully competitive spot. However I'd rather try to make what we have work rather than just stew in the negative. Honestly what will produce more actionable improvement is more data, and so I'll continue to go to what tournaments I can to add to that aggregate, and let you all know how it goes. If we start to do better, maybe it's not as bad in practice as it is in theory. If I get absolutely wrecked hopefully those results can help the decision-making moving forward, even if it's a tiny part of it.
What else can we do?
I think the fact the Slaanesh is not even present in many 2 day events is also important data for gw to rework the faction. I did like the challenge to play an underperforming faction for over a year now but as I see no meaningful change are being.made, it is time for me to move on and play another faction for now where I can finish my games in time and have a fighting chance against every/most factions showing up at competitive events
-
My biggest disappointment is that rhis Depravity table doesn t address the lack of damage our army can do and it chose to focus on resilience instead very mildly

This white dwarf update seems to do very little to help the faction. It s not nothing and it does give narrative players a buff for not summoning but summoning is better than these buffs.
Rally on 5+: our units die to a stiff breeze only use will be if you survive shooting
+2 mvt: nice buff but summoning 30 deamonettes for 12DPs will be loads better
5+ ward: by the time the faction has 18DPs and not summon, it will have nearly nothing left on the table to be relevant

Can someone lay out some strategy for the contorted epitome?
I’m looking at its ability to make units lose their combat round through careful placement, but it seems so luck based and the unit is so fragile that I’m having a hard time using it practically.
any thoughts about the big mirror appreciated! It would be helpful to suggest why I’d take it above other things at the same price point, mostly synessa or the exalted chariot with bladebringer. When I used it, I always kept it out of combat as it dies very easily with 7 wounds and a 5+ save. Its near immunity to mortal wounds however make it very survivable to all the ranged mortal wounds out there. When I send it in combat it s against chaff or small support heroes, nothing killy or you ll lose it
The reason to take it over Synessa or an exalted chariot is it can reroll casts and cast 2 spell. Its warscroll spell is also prettygood (one of the few ways to improve our damage outptut in melle and shooting)

GW just needs to rewrite the Slaangor warscroll they should have the ogroid level of killiness

It was only one bounty hunter battallion with 2 units of fulminator and gotrek in it.
The mortal Slaanesh list had an exalted seeker chariot in bounty hunter which was a really solid choice I felt
