Btw I just found out we are getting few updates to ranges that were introuduced for the first time in Underworlds season 3 (Beastgrave). Wolf riders (Rippa snarlfangs), orruk weirdboyz (Morgok Krushas), Kurnothi (Skaeth wild hunt), new ghouls (Grymwatch). So maybe that is rough timeline for testing waters with new models and then actually producing them for AoS range. (4

He is expressing his happiness at the bright future of the Dawnbringers books by this emoji. With this in mind, I take it as a "yes, there is more than 4 Dawnbringers book".

According to the Whitefang translation database this is what it means.

There have been several rumour engines that are definitely Kroot. They've already had a kill team so the only logical conclusion is an Ironjawz sized addition to the Tau range. Aside from Exodites, a return of the Empire part of Tau is the most likely thing to tempt me back to 40k.

Yes one of the leg rumour engines heavily rumoured to be that of new vespids as well.

I randomly tuned into his live stream 30 minutes ago. His words:

    Slaves to darkness:

    Lord on a horse/names character

    Warriors

    Seraphon:

    Slann

    Kroxigors

    Saurus Warriors

And the new mounted (assume raptadons?)

Re Seraphon, the value of the price is wrong, IE about 30 quid below the expected value. Either one of those units is doubled up, or by new mounted he means aggradon lancers + scar vet

Knights in the chaos box as well.

No info provided re bonereapers and soulblight

The last two week pre-orders (Age of Darkness and Leviathan) they haven't had anything except third party JoyToy stuff.

It may be a little different this time since it's 'only' a codex and model wave of course. Seems like a good slot to drop some Warcry teams imo.

    Or the warhammer day mini

In Gw land Autumn is September 1st  to November 30th . Autumn officially started on September 23rd but Dawnbringers 2 and Tyranids were slated for autumn and are already out. The same thing happened in Summer. Things that were slated for summer came out in the first week of June.

Maybe. I remember Eddie on the harbinger preview show stating "who knows what they winter will bring "

I'm not really expecting anything marked "winter" on the roadmap to make it out this year. Maybe an early armybox release for FEC, but otherwise probably FEC, Harbringers 4, the Order vs Death Warcry Band and the 2nd standalone Underworlds band will all get pushed to Jan-Feb.

Yep winter is December 22nd to March 2024 so rule out FEC battletome and dawnbringers 4

I'm saying that because Skaven players were overreacting to the Whitefang likes and they get very dissapointed when reality came out.

Release windows are the only thing that make us to especulate if something big or small is coming. The window to release the third Dawnbringers book is a small one with the GW release history. Meanwhile the forth book is coming early winter when It is a good time to a big release.

Well the October preview can't come soon enough!

Whitefang rarely says anything directly. Several months ago they said something is coming for Kurnothi and later clarified that Kurnothi isn't just satyr like creatures.

Other things mostly come from their likes. From them we can infer that something is coming for Dawnbringers but it won't include Kurnoth himself. They haven't given any indication as to the size of the release so it could be anything from a single hero to something Ironjawz sized or even bigger.

I did ask if we would get a Kurnoth model and got a laughing emoji from whitefang which I thought meant a no. However it was later pointed out that this meant that its hard to say right or wrong but that there is certainly a happy time ahead.

I'm honestly not expecting anything beyond a warcry set for Kurnothi and maybe Kurnoth himself. bUt wait and see, not sure  anything for them will appear until the last book- the culmination of the rite of life.

Personally think it's now or never for a Kurnoth return story wise. Makes sense that the rite of life can  bring him back. The ghyran crusade is heading north into unexplored areas lore wise so who knows what they will find.

I think they will be in third book, FeC and Summer king will be "big" thing in last book.

Yep the little hints in the books are pointing to this.

Probably they will look similar to Skaeth Wild hunt

so an infantry squad of Satyr Aelfs melee/ and bow version

    cav squad of Centaur Aelfs.

    Orion like Kurnoth model

    the Malkyn beast pack

    Assortment of generic heroes

but it’s all conjecture until it happens

I' definitely think we will get a unit of kurnothi hunters/trackers maybe a mix of regular aelves and bestial aelves

Anyone have any speculation to the size of the Kurnothi release that is coming at some point?
I would assume since it'll be a pseudo sub-faction the Sylvaneth that we might see a Maw-Grunta esque size release wave?

I would like to think we would get
    -Kurnoth
-Woodland Aelves dual-kit (similar to the character from Cursed City) I would suspect the design would be similar to archers and blade-dancers from ole WHFB
-Beetle monster kit, no basis for this.. just hope
-Elite animal-aelves kit (this could easily be a Warcry Warband too)
    -Hero on foot

Would love to get some hints about this release just to build up the hype. If there's one kit I would love to see released it's that of a new incarnation of kurnoth.

This is really off topic, and everyone here has probably read it, but just wanted to shout out how bloody amazing Godeater's Son has been. I saw a Reddit post stating Noah Van Nguyen is Age of Sigmar's Dan Abnett, and I couldn't agree more.

I'm a few hours in through the audiobook, who Timothy Watson also makes for beautiful listening, and the world building is just phenomenal in my opinion. The history and cultures Aqshy has been given, I am absolutely loving this book. You really get a sense of how this portion of Aqshy has changed its inhabitants over the course of history, and how it's inhabitants have changed Aqshy.

And there's little mentions of Kurnothi, Hashut and even Djinns so far and even more mysterious sounding things.

Definitely recommend this book if people haven't read it yet. Timothy Watson is a spectacular narrator for this one.

What's the kurnothi mentions in regards to?

All that stayed her rage was the reminder of the words of the Everqueen’s herald, that foolish sapling Tethamyr.

Any hints about a possible new character ? (Apologies in advance if this is already known, I'm not fully familiar with Sylvaneth lore)

It's the name of the warsong revenant that appears in second dawnbringer book.

  15. ok so i have read the book and some clarifications.

    Spoiler

Looks like the line in the forest was made by King Brodd and his gargants and there isnt some other behind the scenes manipulation going on.

The warsong revenant and sylvaneth cotinue to guide the crusade.

There was reference to the wildercorps scouts and jade battlemeages who knew the ways of ghyran better then any save the aelves of the deep forest, which could be a hint.

Outcasts and Oakenbrow glades were introuduced. WHU Kurnothi warband does have Oakenbrow keyword 🤔

All the warcry warbands have subfaction keywords so wouldn't put too much stock in that. However if there was a glade keyword for kurnothi it would most likely be Heartwood as they are big worshipers of kurnoth and even have aelf hunter clans that live amongst them who worship kurnoth as well.

  17. so the final episode dropped.

    Spoiler

The Ghyran crusade ends up marching through of all places dreadwood owned terrirtoy and they begin to accidently crush soulpods leading to drycha getting ready to attack the crusade. Just as she's about to a warsong revenant turns up and tells her and the crusade not to fight as they need to get to Fort Gradus which is being attacked by King Brodd and Ironjawz. They have been led there by some unknown force who basicly made a huge line through the forests tp guide them there and also tells them how to destroy the barrier protecting the fort. I wont go into what happens but it sounds epic/.

So we have some indication of an unknown enemy guiding the forces of destruction. Nothing at the moment re KunrothI, but it looks like that the crusade has some support from Alarielle now and maybe as they head further north they may get assistance from Kurnothi Hunters and trackers. It does look like this will mean sylvaneth will play a role in book 3 but it remains to be seen if this leads to a return of kurnouth.
