. I am very curious if they are really going to sell the plastic cw, knights and metal chosen, who would buy them when you can buy much better looking minatures with exactly the same name under the AoS catergory. Very strange imo.

Despite their relative lack of dynamism I think the "classic knights" are by far superior to the current iteration, and will fight anyone (with a red plastic whippy stick) who dares disagree! 😜

As an addition to this, in GW's recent 6-montly financial report they did highlight transportation/logistics having increased by a pretty significant amount too.  All things considering I feel the increase could well have been worse.

    This.
One of my suppliers at work has been hit with a 1200% increase in shipping costs, from $5 a landed unit to $60! :o

Tell us more! (If you can/ want). How did the games go? I am particularly curious about the game Vs living city

    Living Cities list was...

Black Ark Fleetmaster - General, Druid of the Everspring.

Knight Draconis - Arcane Tome, Flaming Weapons

Doralia ven Denst - Generals Adjutant

Freeguild General on Griffin - Spear of the Hunt, Soaring Guardian.

    6x1 Scourge Runner Chariots

    2 Fulminators

    2Stormdrake Guard

    10 Phoenix Guard.

Warlord, Hunters and Battle Regiment. 8 drop.

Battleplan was Survival of the Fittest.

I set up covering 2 (centre and right) objectives with Relictor, Judicators, 1 vindictor unit and the lord Arcanum on the board. He had everything on board except for Draconis, drakes and Fulminators, with his Griffin screened grim any translocation shooting.

    I took first turn.

Translocated the judicators right on to the central objective and thunderbolt volleyed Doralia. Then ran my vindictors towards the right hand objective, and auto 6" ran my Arcanum toward the chariot that was covering it.

Brought down the other half of my army with scions - Protectors in front of the Judicators, Yndastra to their left and the Retributors further left still. The last vindictor unit I stuck on the far right objective.

Shooting phase, the judicators slew a chariot, can't remember if yndastra did anything. Maybe couple of phoenix guard.

Charge phase, and the only one I got off was the Retributors in to a chariot, which they killed but that took them out of Yndastras's bubble. Used the 6" pile on from Aetheric Swiftness to get my Lord Arcanum into the other chariot which he killed.

In my opponents turn 1 he moved his  Griffin up to take on the Retributors, chariots up to shoot at the Judicators and then brought in the knight draconis and the stormdrake guard on the top right of the board, ready to get broken ranks on the vindictors there.

in his shooting phase the chariots bounced off the judicators, but my Arcanum ate 5 mortal wounds from dragon breath.

then in the charge phase the dragons all charged the vindictors, with the stormdrake guard also tagging in my relictor. The vindictors were wiped out, with my relictor taking a wound from a guards warbladwarblade. The Griffin made its charge on the Retributors, but only managed to kill one and in return they did enough damage to kill it outright! However the soaring guardian trait popped it back up on a wound down in the far right corner of my deployment zone.

Turn 2, and I held priority, which was probably key. Hero phase I translocated the relictor out of combat with the Stormdrakes and stuck him next to the judicators. Got off Healing light on the Arcanum to boost him back to 6 wounds.

Moved Yndastra and the protectors towards the stormdrake guard, the judicators toward the Griffin and the Retributors toward another Chariot. Rode the winds Aetheric b9" away from the Griffin with the Arcanum

7 judicators were in range of the Griffin, who duly removed its final wound, with the other 3 killing a couple of phoenix guard. yndastra did some wounds to the Stormdrakes with Thengevir.

in the charge phase the protectors went first into the Stormdrakes and Draconis, taking a casualty from unleash hell, then Yndastra followed up. The Retributors made it into a chariot. Combat saw the Stormdrakes slain and the Knight Draconis wounded for the loss of another couple of protectors. The Retributors took out the chariot easily with no losses.

In his turn 2 he moved up the remaining chariots within 9" of my Relictor  and followed them up with the phoenix guard to claim the centre objective. The Fulminators moved on from the right board edge into the space left by the Stormdrake guard. They failed with their breath attacks but closed up for a 3" charge on the protectors. All-out defence saved them and I think they only lost 1 model. I know they didn't get reduced below 6 and Yndastra kept bringing one back every round. In return the protectors finally slew the draconis and did a couple of wounds to the Fulminators.

Almost forgot, in the shooting phase one of the scourgerunner chariots got a double 6 followed by a 5 and a 6 and mortal wounded my Lord Relictor off the board!

    Turn 3 Double Turned!

He went first, so I removed the far left hand objective, freeing up the vindictors to try and get some payback for their downed warlord!

He didn't have much movement left, and in the shooting phase again his Fulminators failed to hit. The remaining chariots shot at the Judicators who weathered it again.

In the combat phase the Fulminators were slain by the Protectors for no losses in return.

My Turn 3 the Arcanum teleported into my opponents deployment zone, 9" away from his warlord, the Retributors ran toward a chariot, the vindictors toward the other chariot and the judicators and Yndastra towards the Phoenix Guard.

Judicator shooting failed dismally against the phoenix guard, si they charged them, along with Yndastra, who also tagged a chariot. The Vindictors made it into the other chariot and the Arcanum longbombed the Fleetmaster, but only wounded him. Yndastra and the judicators reduced the phoenix guard to 2 and the vindictors slew the last chariot.

At the end of turn 3 with only a chariot, 2 phoenix guard and a wounded Fleetmaster left, my opponent called it.

    Man that looks long!🤣

TLDR; dragon shooting can be spikey.

Gotrek is a deterrent. You move him onto an objective, look your opponent dead in the eye and say "come and take it if you want". No one will, but then you've got 485 points doing "nothing" on an objective. But I guess defending an objective isn't "doing nothing", so it's just a case of asking yourself if that is worth those points for that role in your army.

    This.

Everyone who moans about Gotrek's speed seems to forget that this is an objectives game, and everyone is going to the same place!

Can't say for @Dogmantra  but this is the list I built around that concept, mixing vanguard with imperatant+big hammers to have mobility and focused damage -I call this list "Walk swiftly and carry a big hammer". The basic idea is to use the mobility of the vanguard units to force the enemy to open up and then punish them with the annihilators.

The problem with the list is that, even with the hipster pick of the lord aquilor (could be replaced by anything else really), the list was too strong for playing with my clubmates (those big hammers hit HARD) but I don't think it would be very good in a more competitive setting.

What's ruining my head is that those models come to 100 wounds, but warscroll builder insists it's 99!

EDIT: I see it now, for some reason warscroll builder has the Aquilor with 7 wounds instead of 8!

having just looked at the list ive written, I *might* be spamming prosecutors

Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals - Stormhost: Tempest Lords - Mortal Realm: Ghur - Grand Strategy: Hold the Line - Triumphs: LEADERS

    Celestant-Prime, Hammer of Sigmar (325)

    Knight-Venator (175) - General

Knight-Vexillor with Banner of Apotheosis (160)

    Lord-Arcanum on Celestial Dracoline (200)

    UNITS

    6 x Prosecutors with Stormcall Javelins (230)

    3 x Prosecutors with Stormcall Javelins (115)

    3 x Prosecutors with Stormcall Javelins (115)

    5 x Vindictors (130)

    10 x Vanquishers (250)

    3 x Evocators on Celestial Dracolines (280)

im sure it will be terrible and the evocators and arcanum could deffo be swapped ( not sure what for thobut it is going to look amazing on the table) not sure why i typed hallowed knights in an earlier comment, stupid brain.

In before "you should change it to 1 Knight Draconis and 10 Stormdrake Guard!" :p

    I also love Prosecutors.
I especially love them in 3rd now that I don't have to tangle their wings and weapons with 1" coherency .
What I don't love anymore are Javelin Prosecutors. They just got worse (apart from their ace save) - no trident on the prime, no +1 DMG over 9"...

For me in 3rd Hammers is where it's at! Hittier, rendier, and a reason to use the 3d6 charge!
The only downside for me is I'm having to pull off shields and replace with hammers now that 2 weapons actually does something worthwhile!

TLDR - get Prosecutors with hammers! ;)

it's 50% when you think in terms of how much damage you must inflict to kill something:

stardrake has 18 wounds, he's got a 5+ ward, to kill it (on average) you must now inflict 27 wounds because the ward will save a third of them (so 9) -> the stardrake has gained +50% effective wounds

EDIT - woken up, now I get you!😜

Guys, I think a list with draconis, 4 stormdrake and 6 vanguard a raptors with longstrike but I don’t know how to complete…I think to use 2 unit of vindictors to complete the battleline but than? Any ideas?

    How about this?

     - Army Faction: Stormcast Eternals

      - Army Type: Scions of the Storm

      - Subfaction: Celestial Warbringers

    LEADERS

    Knight-Draconis (300)*

      - General

      - Command Traits: Master of Magic

      - Artefacts of Power: Arcane Tome

    Lord-Relictor (145)*

      - Prayers: Translocation

    BATTLELINE

    2 x Stormdrake Guard (340)*

    2 x Stormdrake Guard (340)*

    10 x Judicators with Boltstorm Crossbows (380)*

    OTHER

    6 x Vanguard-Raptors with Longstrike Crossbows (480)*

    CORE BATTALIONS

     - *Battle Regiment

    TOTAL POINTS: 1985/2000

Created with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The App

Need to split the stormdrake in to 2x2 for battle line, but that makes them a bit more belakor proof.

It's 1 drop, got a lot of shooting and a choice of 2 units for thunderbolt volley T1.

However it is super light on scoring bodies and quite fragile with only 85 wounds.

Might be fun to try out though.

Oddly enough I have been on other forums. That's why I started coming here. It would be a shame to see TGA go full warseer.

Hi all! I have 10 blood warriors I need to assemble - what configuration is better? Gorefists or Dual Weapons?

I've just started on a Khorne army too and I'm going through the same quandry.

Currently I think Gorefists are better, but you just know that when we get a new book it's gonna be dual axes all the way!😄

    I think that you can.

Thunderbolt Volley allows you to shoot in the Hero Phase, so, not at the Start and not at the End of that phase, but that's all.

Note: Unleash Hell, technically, works exactly like that. You could shoot later in the charge phase, but you must target the same unit that charged and allowed to trigger Unleash Hell, so it's a bit pointless to wait later in the turn.

This is my reading of it also 👍
