This is now the second round of Barnes and Noble exclusive games released from Games Workshop, consisting of Dreadfane, Combat Arena, and Stormvault. I haven't gotten any of the first round of games, though I have heard Blitz Bowl is really good, but I was lucky enough to have been sent a copy of Stormvault to check out. So, what do these self contained board games bring to the table?

If there's one thing I've done a lot of, it's painting tutorials. I've been creating them in some form or another ever since I launched this website properly back in 2014. This day five years ago is when I first started treating Mengel Miniatures like a real website, with regular content every week! It's hard to believe it's really been that long, but here we are. I thought it would be fun to celebrate this milestone with a bit of a look back at the site over those years.

I think most of us have a passion project when it comes to the hobby. That one army or faction that you keep cycling back to no matter how many new avenues you try to explore. For me that's the forces of Death in AoS, and at the moment, the Nighthaunt in particular.

When I'm preparing for an event, there are a number of things I take into consideration. What army I want to take, how effective it will be, are there any cool new things I want to try out, and how does the force look when laid out as an army?

Now that I've had more time with the new Contrast Paints, including the base paints in pots and the all important Contrast Medium, I've been able to push and explore what makes this new range so cool and unique! If you painted with Shades in the past, or are familiar with water colors then you'll really like what can be done.

The new Contrast Paints are almost here, and I was lucky enough to get an early go at using them as well as a review set to play around with. So what do these new paints bring to the table?
