Why do you accept this mess? Looking for individual opinions here.

I don't. Already left AoS for alternative games such as ASOIAF and SW Legion. From time to time I still like to paint some GW models from my pile of shame but in terms of gameplay IMO AoS ruleset and overall balance is kinda poor.

We are getting some actual battle reports with 3.0 rules:

Dark Artisan and Guerrilla Miniature Games are both wonderful content creators so I am pleased to see them getting these batreps out and I am happy to share that love here. Sadly I will not be able to watch either until much later tonight as I am thankfully starting a new job today.

    Just watched GMG report

    Spoiler

New SCE got has been almost tabled while did completly nothing :D
Yes I know that point cost for KO was still based on 2.0 and they did few mistakes related to CA frequency but geez the power gap was huge!

  3. The lack of interest in current edition dragged me off from Gw for a while and pushed me towards some smaller systems. Sorry but I have to say this. Miniwise GW is still on top. Rulewise they are years behind their competition. My guess is that 3.0 will rather focus on small tweaks instead of major overhaul which is needed.

  4. It is just wishlist, right? So unrealistic ideas are accepted as well I hope. Based on other games Iwould like to see:

    - bury the double turn, most ridiculous idea I have ever seen in  the tabletop

    - I go, you go system instead of I go, you go get your coffee in the meantime.

    - CC shooting penalties

    - new mechanics introduction which will discourage from frequent teleports across the table

    - first turn priority roll to encourage more diversity into list building which will be unhindered by the drops number.

    - long term goal, to review useless warscrolls and bump those pretty minis so they will be still relevant in games

    - limit power creep, do not make single team responsible for balancing new faction around itself but rather to get all of current factions and balance new vs existing ones.

    - get rid of power creep coz now army released two years ago is completely useless in current meta

    - give yourself some overall balancing tools other than just points, its not enough

    - introduce some point costed additions to army building like banners, unit upgrades, etc.

Flatten statwise and abilitywise differences across units from different armies for easier game balancing in the future.

  5. Enough for me.

Its time to work on backlog and in the meantime I am starting to support lesser companies. Recently I have reviewed existing options on market and there are at least four games worth of trying instead of pretending I still care for AoS/Warcry. Ofc with lesser population but thankfully I am living in area where its not an issue.

  6. I suspect that GW is not satisfied from their product as well. There is almost no articles, no revelations, almost nothing relwted to AoS since the day GHB announcement. I guess that analysis regarding current state of the game wasn't complete before GHB was approved and moved to print. So sadly they will provide half baked product this year which will solve maybe a small fracture of current problems.

However I see hope. Looking at Wh40k 9th, they have addressed and fixed plenty of issues. I am sure that AoS will receive same treatment next year but for now, I am driven off from the game.

  7. I had a plan to do list based on three bloodthirsters. But after recent prices adjustments I am no longer interested in that. If the trend will continue I sadly predict that some of GW loyal customers may head towards recasters. I stopped to invest in paper battletomes as well. Im a displeased with fact that these rather costly books within month of their release may become somewhat outdated.
