Looks resin to me.

It really is amazing how often this needs to be said.
All minis made by GW are initially cast in resin so they can be painted for the rule books and box art.
The rumour picture is clearly resin, bur that does not mean the final mini will be.
Anyway, looking forward to finding out what next week's preorder will be. Hoping for skirmish or shadow Aelves. We should get the details on Monday.

So no other info from the white dwarf? We have three weeks to cover between the overlords and the rumoured date for 8th.
-
The always reliable landmine has said on twitter that May is aos focused and a new Keeper of Secrets is coming in the autumn.

They're going to have a starter box with new minis. Check the FAQ:

This is the way they should have transitioned to AoS. Totally fantastic.Yeah but they didn't show even a glimpse. I think it is just having an announcement of an announcement rubbed me the wrong way.
The little teaser video was cool but it was just that a teaser. If this had all just dropped without the prior warning I would have been much happier. I was also hoping for something aos centric.

Well colour me disappointed. It is just what the said in March but with a little more detail. Free rules and annual updates are cool but it just what most people guessed. Could they not have sneaked in one new mini?

Just noticed next weeks White Dwarf isn't on pre order.
What ever is getting announced is probably on the cover. I bet we see the pre order for the next issue after the announcement.
The next white dwarf isn't out till may 5th so it will go on preorder next weekend.

So I just bought the digital overlords battletome and the same set of rules is in the back, so I wouldn't read to much into the lack of rules in the physical book. Faeit is now saying it is not Ghb2. Just an hour to go. Personally hoping for shadow Aelves or a new campaign book.

Announce now, release in 4 weeks. Seems about right to me. I'm sticking to 40K as the news.
Happy to be wrong and get Skavedeathnesh Battletome.
Doing a major 40k announcement would steal the thunder from the biggest independent of AOS in the year. It would be a very bad time to announce that.
ghb 2 date is almost a cert, but just a date is not enough to register as big news with me. A deep dive like they did for the overlords book would be cool. Showing off the next AOS faction would be even cooler.

They may just announce that the release date is July again. I believe they gave a fair amount of notice before the release date last time.
-
Pete Foley (head of books or something at GW) just posted this on twitter
'Good luck to everyone at #SCGT2017. Ill be watching from home?. Work calls, it's an exciting weekend for GW for more than one reason...'
Ghb2 announcement confirmed?

Hot news from the warhammer underworlds Facebook page.
'Warhammer Underworlds is the game. Shadespire is the setting for the first season'!!!!! (exclamation marks added by me)

So Hastings called the Deathguard release including the extra models. It would seem his sources are still good.
-
Pete Foley confirmed on twitter confirmed that the community site will update after the second preview seminar which finishes at 11.30 pm Chicago time.
-
So that shadow war release date info comes from ministomp on Twitter who is an independent retailer who never gets things wrong. The date is accurate. That rumour pic is definitely an Aelf. I think we will see the full mini in 12 hours time.

I don't put much faith in rumours from a guy who has been out of the loop for so long.
The only actual leaks we've seen have been a cover for a magazine which they then done a video on.
I've begun to feel that the age of rumours and spoilers is over.
I mean, who saw the khorne or the sky stunties coming ? What reliable rumour source had that in their pocket.
Outside of what gw have been releasing in the rumour engine, since the monthly magazine we've barely seen a single rumour ripen into anything juicey
I wouldn't write Hastings off. Sad panda of 100% rumour accuracy fame corroborated his nu marine rumour. Atia corroborated his BFG and mordheim rumours.
He posted his cuthulhu Aelves rumour before the mask with unusual ears and the tentacles attacking Kharadron pics appeared.
He is not perfect. he has made it clear that he does not see models himself but he obviously has at least one reliable source. (he accuratly predicted gsc a year ahead of time)We will know in just 25 hours time if his rumour pans out but I would put money on him being correct.
Exciting times ahead.

Given that this is supposed to be the year of 40k, 4 battletomes in 4 months is very impressive. In three days time we should hear about even more upcoming battletomes.
-
A little tidbit from Hastings. There will be a new Mordheimesque game coming in 2018. No info if this is specialist games old world or studio Aos, but exciting nonetheless. It also suggests that Shadespire will be something different.

Anyone noticed this at the bottom of the picture? Looks like a hint of the Cthulhu inspired Aelves that Hastings mentioned.

Any release dates for the battletome?
It will probably be on preorder on the 25th and release in the first week of April.

At least 2 rumour engine pics, white dwarf hints, plentiful hints in previous books and now this. Enough teasing! Show us the minis!!!

Meh another SE box ?
No Aelves info ?
No Dwarfs announcement ?
BORING
It is the same box just repackaged to appeal to new gamers. If you are already posting on here, it is probably not for you. I am guessing they are aiming for the £50 price range. This is small enough news that it has not even merited a post on the community website yet.
-
So it is confirmed that the mark iiis will go up for preorder next week and custodes the week after. (someone put the custodes ebook on black library a week early. Why is it always 40k that leaks and not aos?)
Anyway that means that we will see Duardin preorders on the 25th and released in April alongside white dwarf. If the rumours of new 40k in June are true, we will probably see the mystery new Aos game in May.
-
Just seen a bit of potentially bad news for AoS fans. Some blurry photos of custodes and sos box sets just leaked. I am now guessing that they will be the 18th preorder with the Duardin saved for an unveiling at Adepticon and a March 25th preorder. This is just a guess but it seems likely.

The skull on the base and the nurgley centipede thing look like they may well be resin masters.
