The problem is that I can think of 8 more order battletome ideas, and at least 5 or 6 for destruction or chaos. For death that seems much more difficult.
Coming up with interesting factions that are more than simply deathcast or death Aelves or death Duardin will be a real challange. With the ko gw have shown that they are capable of cool new takes on the factions we know so I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
when we look back on this in a few years time, I expect we will have about a dozen order books, 9 or 10 for chaos and 5 or 6 each for death and destruction.

That's one of the best looking Fyreslayers I have seen yet. GW continue to knock it out of the park with the shadespire warbands.

Extremely excited to see Morathi come back. A sylvaneth style update to daughters of Khaine would be pretty awesome. With nurgle death and now this teased, 2018 is already living up to its billing as the year of AoS . Hopefully we will see some models at Lvo this weekend.

It's a very cute Nurgling but I am getting a bit tired of the extended nurgle release. After several months of death guard I'm ready for something different. I am well aware that an aos nurgle release is inevitable, but I hope we get a death guard sized Death release as well.

Here's my Stormcast. Very fun to paint.

My understanding is that more and more stuff will appear on the site over the next few weeks to help tease us up until 3rd Jan (which is Age of Sigmar Wednesday on Warhammer TV). I'm guessing we will see more teasers in a similar manner of the 40K release
I really hope so. I would love the kind of drip feed that 8th edition got. I remember the run up to the space hulk reboot when they showed a mini a day for two weeks. It was great, and was completely successful in making me buy the game.

I am really going to struggle to wait for 20 days. I got impatient waiting for the video to load.
I need some instant gratification.

Gang war 2 is February. It was mentioned on the recent stream.
January is probably a mostly aos month with a bit of love thrown to 40k in the shape of new demon codex and nurgle minis.
I' m really not a nurgle fan (comfortably my least favourite chaos minis) so after what will be 5 solid months of nurgle releases I am ready for something else.

This quote from ADB's AMA is very encouraging.
I was a crazy-late adopter to Age of Sigmar. The Old World resentment hit me reeeeeaaaally hard, but I got a seriously lucky break, when WHTV asked me about helping them with some script work for their trailers. I had to sign a bunch of extra NDAs, and the end result that I’ve started seeing some insanely awesome stuff coming down the pipe for AoS in the future. And that finally turned me around all the way on the new setting.

I think the list of factions that it likely doesn't belong to is shorter than the list it may.
OK let's try this:
Not:
Any destruction army, Khorne, nurgle, Seraphon, fyreslayers, kharadron Overlords, any death except vampires, tzeentch (too regular), slyvaneth, dispossessed, ironweld arsenal, shadow Aelves (too opulent)
Could be: Aelves, Stormcast, free peoples, devoted of Sigmar, Slaanesh.
Personally my money is on either sisters or custodes for 40k. It is quite similar to the drape behind the old metal Celestine.
If it is aos it could well be from a Neferata led death faction.

Time for everyone to like the aos Facebook page. We could do with another Malign Portents tease.
Edit, not much longer to wait

Yeah I get that many factions and races 'got out' but they surely die of old age?
Gotten became a God of sorts at the end of Slayer, which would explain his continued existence. Other mortal heroes like Alarielle also became gods.

Well, they can shimy over their release schedules over a bit. Considering ironskull and skellies were in november, these would get out in december at the very least, so a couple of weeks (hopefully!) of delay ain't much.
By the way, aside from LVO and B&G is there any noteworthy event? It seems tournament scene may be doing pretty decent, considering in one of my LGSs we can barely scroung 4 players for AoS events while shadespire racked 6 (plus two that had to withdraw due to personal and unexpected issues) at the first attempt. The next grand clash is at waaghpaca in Wisconsin in January. I think adepticon is doing Shadespire too. I'm not sure when the next big uk event is.

The Shadespire warbands now have unique warscrolls for AoS.

Very interesting. I had heard that production was maxed out, but stopping making big kits is new. I wonder how long this has been on the cards and has anything to do with desicion to do a lot of book releases for 40k but relatively few miniatures.
-
I think it was said that warscrolls would come eventually but not at launch. Most of the minis are just regular aos minis. You have a female liberator, a liberator prime and a liberator with grandhammer for example. The most obvious use case for the minis is in skirmish.
There is a rumour that a hunters warband is coming. If you take 3 liberators and 3 hunters you just need to add a hero to have a 50 renown warband for skirmish, no additional warscroll necessary.

To be clear you need exactly 12 objective cards plus a deck of at least 20 cards with at least half of those being upgrade cards and the rest being ploy cards.

Are there any rumours about which warbands will be coming out after Death and Ironjawz?
Yes. Skaven and fyreslayers are next but we have not seen the models yet.

No copy limit for cards in your deck seems like a questionable design choice. Maybe they overlooked it in the unboxing vid.
Someone asked about duplicate cards on Facebook , and the answer was that you may have no more than one of each card in your deck.

That's some pretty tasty box art!
Miniwargaming has an unboxing video up.
If they are letting people show this stuff now it must be up for preorder next weekend.

Various people are starting to get early copies. I am thinking that preorders may be next weekend, or the week after at the latest.

Saw this on boardgamegeek. It comes from the game trade magazine.
$70 would equal £45. The price is reasonable but perhaps a tad expensive for the wider market they are targeting. Hopefully expansions will be £20 each. If they hit that price, I will buy them all.

At the very most the wraith fleet is some converted models, but it is probably just fluff and an alliegence ability.

Nonsense. It is as death as it gets. Compare it with the back of the knight of shrouds.
