  1. Brutes - 160pts MBMK - 380/400pts Change my mind hahaha
  2. Thank you @broche and @Superninja appreciate the input. I’ll try it and see Yes, @Skumbaagh I had the same query. I didn’t think Ironskull’s boys could be used... if they can... WHOOOOOO!
  3. @broche I feel the value in a Bloodtoofs is the extra 2CP (for Waaagh!), 3 artefacts (because IJs need all the boost they can get), the +1 to run, +2 overall to charge, +2 bravery & +D6” movement to IJ batteline in hero phase. I’m not sure a weirdfist works as well. I feel it’s a lot of points for a boost to one hero and is without the aforementioned benefits of a Bloodtoof build Id like to know everyone’s experience running 2x MawKrushas. If there’s any value to that
  4. Hey guys I was hoping you would share your thoughts on a Double MawKrusha in Bloodtoofs build verses taking more bodies in Bloodtoofs - in the competitive scene
  5. Loving Syls in AoS2! I’ve realised by branching out (pun intended) and writing different battalion lists, I’m finding different ways to play Syls competitively. In the past I’ve stuck with the one build. Obviously there are better builds for the meta (DWood/Winterleaf) but it’s fun to find some great combinations So it’s unlikely I’ll look at other armies any time soon. There’s just so much to offer from this book!
  6. Hey y’all! Just looking a trying different lists that would be fun to play ( outside of my standard Dreadwood) again. Could be competitive also! hopefully they’re good Ive sort of wanted to focus on using Durthu and Dryads... lots of dryads. And not restrict myself to any do the Revs or big monsters Let me know what you think! Harvestboon list Winterleaf list Happy for critique!
  7. It does say it’s a terrain feature that cosists of up to 3 citadel woods Therefore inferred as a single terrain feature??
  8. @CanHammer-darren You’re referring to even when 2-3 citadel wood bases are placed at once?
  9. How does everyone use the area between the wyldwood bases? Part of the terrain? Provide cover? Cause models to be slain? or it’s just open terrain that doesn’t provide any benefits?
  10. Yeah unless there is another realmgate on the board I don’t bother placing the other when I’m playing Bloodtoofs
  11. Versed my mate’s Daughters today - he took a much softer list than last time (not 40 Blood Sisters!). He took Slaughter Cauldron, 3 Hags, 10 Blood Sisters, 30 Sisters Slaughter, 10 Witches, 10 Witches, 5 Canaries Im trying my hand at a solid Gnarlroot list after having a lot of success with my Dreadwood. This is the list I think is quite good, except running the Hunters as 3x3 The dice gods were against me this game. My casting rolls were abysmal. The skankypriest did nothing except fail his castings. I got double turned turn 2 - which hurt ALOT. He killed my remaining Hunter in a unit with his Blood Sisters (who was holding them in the middle of the field) and he killed what was left of my 30 dryads in the middle of the board also with his Sisters of Slaughter - BOTH IN HIS HERO PHASE! So he proceeded to move up the board to my back field and punish me there where he deleted the 20 dryads blob with his fully buffed Blood sisters. My turn 2 was very poor, in that nothing happened! Castings were failed. Attacks were fluffed. It was just bad. Then I got the double turn which I desperately needed then fluffed everything again! For a magic heavy list, I wasn’t going much magicwise. I had however, depleted a lot of what his army had left. we called it end of turn 3 because I would not catch up after his 4 remaining Blood Sisters we’re going to make short work of my 3 remaining Branchwraiths and 3 Hunters I blame the dice gods and my mate’s dice I was using All in all, I feel if I had got turn 2 and didn’t fail horrendously at casting, the game would have swung in my favour. Will just have to keep practicing
  12. We played Shifting Objectives - 3 Objectives in the middle. Lengthway board. He deployed on his line. I dropped on mine with the intent to drop woods on the objectives and sit dryads on them. I did that. Got all spells and whatnot off. Score 5pts. His turn. He failed to get Cogs off (not that he needed it) and did get Mindrazor off. He also got all his witch brews and prayers off. He then moved everything up. Only managed to successfully get 2 units into combat - 20 blood sisters and 10 SS - on the right flank into my 30 dryads. Even with -1 to hit and my dryads with a 3+ rerolling 1s save. He still did 34 damage and the unit was gone. He then double turned me. It was game over. I’m now considering a slightly different list but I’ll play a few more games with the Sisters of the Thorn before I change it Im not sure if it’ll fair as well as other builds. So if there are any Gnarlroot players out there, feel free to critique
  13. Okay... played a quick first game with that garlnroot build in Shifting Objectives My advice... do not verse Daughters of Khaine. Game was over turn 2.
  14. @JP1 I’ve since decided to run the General Branchwych with Treesong - because with Warsinger he is likely to be up near the Hunters and Dryads to give them +1” to their charge. So if he’s around a big combat near the woods the activation of the woods will be good. Or wood surfing shenanigans haha And yes I feel another ESpell would be good but perhaps I’d have to drop a Branchwraith for that? That last Branchwraith would have Throne of Vines to boost dryad summoning. **If Gnarlroot didn’t tax us on a Branchwych I’d only have the 2 Branchwraiths ** @HiveFleetCerberus I’m yet to practice with this list yet but once I do I’ll post my findings. My initial thoughts is to go first, drop all my woods down with my casters, move a big unit of dryads on an objective or in my opponents way, buff them with the Sisters, teleport the Hunters to an important position and just whether the tide and hit back just as hard But I’ll let you know once I’ve had a few games
  15. Id very much suggest to reconsider the Shaman + Cogs. Probably 140pts best spent elsewhere as he’s not so likely to get it off
  16. @Lhw really? Well I should do quite well then haha ive actually put more thought into the Gnarlroot list and chose to put Alarielle away Let me know your critiques and thoughts everyone! I sort of like this one better than the Winterleaf...
  17. I was hoping you all would give me your thoughts on these two lists. I’ve played Dreadwood religiously and I’ve done quite well with it. I’d now like to branch out Gnarlroot The goal behind this is to setup a big default wood, acorn a wood, summon a wood - in optimum locations. Drop my 30 dryad unit in a large wood in front of what I think will come at me hardest. Alarielle summons 20 dryads into the other wood. Branchwraith summons 10 dryads into the other wood. Sistersof the Thorn buff the most viable dryad unit its very much of the stall game - id say it plays most similarly to death in a way. I probably should drop Alarielle for some stronger units but I love the model and her abilities so I’ll try to make this work The other I’d like to try is Winterleaf (even though my Syls are a firery autumn theme) The idea behind this one is just dryads in ya face. Deploy everything defensively. Do all 3 different wood placements. Cast throne of vines, cast cogs. Then redeploy all my dryads, in woods, in yo face with the general behind the main block. They then only have to make a 6” charge with a cp reroll. I look forward to teating these lists out and will let you all know how they go. In the meantime, I’d like to know what y’all think and ways the lists could be better optimised cheers
  18. I’d also be happy to see Bonesplitterz and IJs combine (like Legion of Nagash and Nighthaunt) but I may be the only one here on this haha BS would easily fill the horde and shooting necessity of the IJs and their abilities working on each other would bring them up a tier I feel
  19. I’d pay 600pts for 20 brutes any day! And happily buy more boxes of brutes!
  20. @Lhw I’m very interested as to how you play your list! What tactics or play style do you use? Im a Dreadwood player (went 4-1 in my most recent tournament) so I’m all about taking control of turn one, controlling the board and taking out a key unit
  21. @Malakree with your Ardfist list, I’d consider making the Warchanter with Thermalrider Cloak the General with Prophet of da Waaagh. That they you’d have access to two Waaagh command abilities And Ignax’s Scales on the Megaboss. I’ve had too many games where he got magic’d Off the board before he did anything
  22. I can’t wait to try out this gnarly, fun, krump-ya-opponents-face-in, IJs From Ulgu list! The Gu-Jawz! I’m having great results from using this Bloodtoofs list and am playing with different realm artefacts to find interesting results I typically hold back till turn 2 and then UNLEASH (4-8 extra attacks per model)! Extra ‘Urty
  23. I’d love to play with a f***ton of brutes! @Malakree
  24. In my experience, one lonely Fungoid Shaman wasn’t enough to make an impact in my games. So I just forgo all magic now haha
