  1. The majority of the time people just figured out which option was the best and did that. Having one weapon option is also just easier to understand from a new player perspective and easier to balance around. I was hoping they'd do it for a while now. There's plenty of things I wish had more depth, but choosing between things like spears vs swords was not one of them.
  2. I might be an outlier, but I was really hoping for an index because I just wanted things shaken up a bit. Some of my armies got a bit stale to play, or were unfun to play against, so I'm glad they'll be new for summer. I also play Skaven so I'm happy to get a book early for them. I do hope AoS is better than the 40k team at keeping the thematic feel of armies.
  3. Why would they completely remove the ability to purchase a core faction of Old World? It's likely more because Old World players have bought up a lot of BoC.
  4. I initially thought 4th edition keeping the same red branding means there won't be an index, but I think they just don't want to reprint everything they just did (like boxes and such) (especially with all the printing issues as of late). I don't really mind either way.
  5. I'd honestly say it's more likely the new monster isn't happening. Cold One Knights seem much more realistic with us already having so many giant dinosaurs that don't look bad.
  6. I think the Skaven Vanguard is way better for new Skaven players. Clanrats seem like they'll be universal battleline for all the clans, and I'm sure Stormfiends/warp lightning canon will be solid in the new book. Having the old one be only clan Pestilen always felt a bit weird. The new dice feel extremely uninspired though.
  7. I'm pretty excited for the new Skaven book, but I'm more of a casual player. I feel I'm one of the few people that's liked the new Warscrolls so far. I also enjoy more streamlined, simplistic rules like the new screaming bell has. I never enjoyed having a ton of clan rats just surround the bell with battleshock bubble, much like how I hated playing Seraphon when they just ran skinks and combat retreated. I think having rats flee but swarm back is a more lore-centric rule. One thing I really want is clan pestilen to have a disease mechanic like nurgle do, but I doubt that'll happen.
