  1. God I hope it is!!! I don't collect or play Khorne, but will be extremely disappointed if it isn't Valkia. They can't afford another priest!!!
  2. I feel the Dawnbringer release would be the perfect holiday release. Especially since GW and the community push the new year new army campaign. I could see that release being big hype during that time.
  3. What if the Theridons become the new Beast type faction? There is a decent amount of lore growing with them that I do wonder if they have bigger plans for them down the line. We have seen them before take one design aesthetic and turn it into an army.
  4. At first, I had a tough time feeling comfortable with a different head frills compared to the other skinks. But the lore of them actually makes it pretty cool. I think having different sub species of skinks is actually a cool idea. I’ll admit I was in the minority that actually liked most of the old Seraphon sculpts and felt that it would be hard to really push the needle, but they have done an amazing job finding a unique design space to upgrade and improve these models. Every release I feel my self saying wow that’s the best Seraphon sculpt until I see the next one which then becomes my favorite. So excited to se what comes next !
  5. I don't see Skaven being the launch to 4th edition. They seem to pair something new with Stormcast. I fall on the side that I think we might see Order vs Order. Or Stormcast vs Oathbreakers (Chaos Dwarves). I remember a distinct rumor that this edition ends with something breaking through the gates of Azyr and that would tie in nicely with Chaos Dwarves with some big machine. Now, just because, Skaven aren't in the starter doesn't mean they aren't in line for revamp. Before recently, GW was studying pure sales data. They could easily track what kits/armies sold the most. Skaven, because they are older may not have had high sales throughout the AOS life span, because a lot of people have already bought full armies in the past. Same with Beastmen. However, now that GW seems to be actively looking at the competitive meta, they can see that Skaven is very popular in the tournament meta, even though they don't have a super high win rate. (Meaning people love them) Each edition seems to focus on a grand alliance and develop that. For first edition each chaos god had it's lore expanded upon, second was Death and third is destruction. However, Chaos is in a spot where it's kind of two different sections. You have the four chaos gods and then everyone else. I think if the 4th edition starts with the chaos dwarves the edition could easily be focused on the other powers of Chaos not associated with the big four. Which could lead to Skaven and Beastmen getting a Seraphon type update during that edition. GW is also able to track traffic of all their social media posts. Sometimes I wonder when they post the show us your (fill in the blank) army are they trying to collect online traffic data of that specific army. Either way, I'm hoping that they recognize the giant online hype of revamped Seraphon and realize that Skaven and Beastmen could have the same impact.
  6. Not a KO player but I do think a remastered gyro copter would be cool for them. Oddly enough, another foot hero would be kind of meh considering they just dropped the anniversary special edition KO hero. I’d prefer some mechanical golem to help fill a behemoth slot. Out of the projected Battletomes, I would like to see these additions. KO- Mechanical Golem/monster Khorne - Valkia (will be a crime if it’s not) OBR - Some sort of elite ranged unit. Like a unit of three sharp shooters Slannesh - Mounted hero. Soul-blight - Elite vamp troops. Maybe a unit of 3 similar to Stalkers or Annihilators what does everyone else got?
  7. From a marketing stand point that makes sense. Draw up interest and hype right before the edition change so that people are dialed in for the new stuff they release when edition drops. Look at 40K. They have had a lot of stuff come out recently as we approach their presumed edition release.
  8. I think we will get a last minute surprise drop. I'm thinking new destruction army. Similar to how they did Soulblight. Have to remember that we still have like 18 months of this edition left and every existing army looks to be updated by end of spring. Summer is Seraphon and then we still have Fall, Winter and the following spring. Lot of time left for something new and exciting.
  9. I feel a Dark Aelf vs New Humans starter box would be very lucrative for GW
  10. Both Kroak and the Slann might be the most impressive models in the AOS range from a detail perspective
  11. New Seraphon stuff is amazing!!!! If it is less than half of the release and we look at what S2D got, I would guess 7-8 new kits. I agree with everyone else that I can't see the stuff shown in the pictures being remade, so I think Carnosaur, Bastilidons, Stegadons and the terradon/ripperdactyl are staying as is. (They aren't terrible kits to begin with) I also feel like the skink kits are new and decent enough to stay. In my opinion with the new raptor kits, the Skink side of the army seems pretty full. I definitely think we will see the Saurus side expanded upon. So lets here some guesses? I'll go with: 1. New Slann 2. New Saurus Warriors 3. New skink Calvary 4. * New Saurus on cold ones or possibly new creature for them to ride. 5. Leader Saurus on calvary or monster 6. Foot hero, Maybe new asterolith bearer or Warden 7. Kroxigor 8. Razordon/Salamander kit What y'all got?
  12. I'm very curious to how many new models we see for Seraphon... I know they are a very popular army, so it would seem fitting that they get a decent upgrade. We can assume new Slann, new saurus and sometype of monster or calvary. I hope they throw in new Kroxigor and Salamanders as well. With those five kits they would be set for the foreseeable future.
  13. Agreed. I would like some sort of pet to run instead for Mancrushas
  14. The Snarlfang release is odd, as the aesthetic appears to need more units to at least have a Gitmob, I wonder if we’ll see more during the narrative launch into 4th. With Broken realms we got, a ton of new models and rules. Even for Battletomes that had recently dropped (The slannesh twins) Perhaps the Era of the beast will be highlighted through that. I know the box sets and new models from that era did well because the story pushed the models. So let’s hope that GW is just waiting to dump all their little AOS secrets during the new narrative season.
  15. I remember the story with a Daemon "Belakor" and Skaven. The new bBelakor model hadn't been released yet but it was a hint that he was back and around in the lore. Then they dropped the new model. They did the same thing with the Seraphon and dragon eggs. Give us some foreshadowing into what's coming next. We already know Seraphon are coming, give us a cool story filled with mysterious hints of what to expect.
  16. While I agree about better ways to hype their products and releases, if you look back to what they do now compared to 5-6 years ago, it's night and day. Warhammer community does as good as a job as they can to keep content coming out daily. I think the issue is there just isn't a lot of AOS content to hype up and show yet. Like someone previous stated, the pandemic and the shift of production from over seas to U.K. has altered plans more than we realize. I think they are timid to release and show stuff in fear of that plan changing. I.E. Cursed City. Where I think they drop the ball is with lore updates. I think along with rumor engines they should reveal small excerpts of story (Paragraph would suffice) just pushing the story. They did this with longer mini stories during broken realms and I think that's when the love for AOS was at it's peak. I think we think AOS is moving slow because of releases but we really just feel stuck because the story hasn't moved or deepened. A prime example would be these one off heroes the have been doing. Give us a story about a named version of them. The new flesh eater court model, give us a small story about him. Bring us into the world of AOS.
  17. Yes I agree. I happy with one book but like others have said; for this army specifically, I would like to see them break the book up into the chambers and only certain units can be used with certain chambers. More linear like someone mentioned. I think the range is honestly really cool and they have variety in characters and style, but so much of the army isn't even used and it's a shame. I would love to see that army out in a variety of different fashions compared to the same 10 units always used. They have enough battleline and heroes to make each one count for a chamber.
  18. Really? This reason is why I gave up on stormcast. I wish they did break up the parts of the army into separate stricter stormhosts. There are so many options that it is maddening trying to pick and choose units. Especially since there are enough units for each chamber to look and feel different. I'm curious to where people stand on this.
  19. Sooooo many. They did it with SOB and it was pretty cool. I think there are a lot of units that could use this treatment. Fyreslayers and Ogres come to mind. This could even work for the Grot spider kits. I would love to see an upgrade sprue for the Mawkrusha since people run two of them. Some variety would be cool.
  20. Rob shoots at like a 50% rate. I remember when he swore Ogres and Sons were getting a combined book. Sometimes he does just spout stuff and then plays it up as a joke in the end, so who knows. Both those rumors seem pretty far out there. I know he used to work for GW, but I do think at times he can be click baitey
  21. I could very well see this…. Tomb Kings were basically reinvented as Bonereapers. While the lore does have them, I don’t believe it would be super difficult to innovate new story lines to adapt to their changes. Typically, they choose a design element from an exsisting unit and just do it up for a whole army. However, I would find it odd if they deleted an army that has had a Battletome, especially a new one. I do think BOC does lack its own unique AOS identity and hope to see them get re worked.
  22. Could the Dino mount be a new salamander/razordon kit?!?
  23. In order, definitely looks like a new slan. You can see it looks like a chair. It has similar vines to Kroak, and a skink on the chair arm. Second looks like new saurus warriors. Doesn’t have enough bling to be a hero. Look similar to the one that came in the underworlds warband, so probably a unit of them. Third looks like a new saurus hero. Might be a multi kit like Carnosaur/Troglodon kit. It looks to big to be a cold one unless they just framed it to look larger. Fourth one screams darkoath to me, so who knows. Could be a warcry character or even new Khorne foot hero for their book, even though we were hoping for Valykia Last one, looks like new Malerion Warband. The swords look similar to the rumor engine cutlass. I also have this feeling that that model is the one standing on that broken face statue from the rumor mill.
  24. Excellent idea. It would make sense that the Oathbreakers would lean more towards technology. It may seem out of place for AOS, but what they did Kharadron somehow worked. Kind of in between AOS and 40k
  25. Happy holidays to all! im wondering if there’s more to the Gitz release then we thought. One unit of Gitmob wolf riders, and a new squig boss replacement already. It’s supposed to be the era of Destruction. Maybe, we’ll get lucky and they have a nice surprise and they will expand the gitz even more. Would love to see them have the Moonclan, Squiggs amd Gitmob all in one book.
