In a completely different game system. It’s like ruling out anymore Kharadron sky ships because Squats had them in Epic.
Yeah, but Khorne is a big red berk.

And cross fingers for bloodgors/khornegors !
Khorne already had his go at having his own Beastmen, back in... what was it, 5th edition? 6th? Something like that.
No more beasties for Khorne.

Guys I heard GW was gonna squat slaanesh
Slaanesh is unsquattable.
Slaanesh is eternal.
Slaanesh is all.

It’s funny, when they blew up TOW I wondered at the time if they were going to do a Warmahordes style mash of sci-fi and fantasy settings. The rumoured lore was something like “bubbles of reality” which turned out to be the realms but I remember thinking will they try and merge 40k and WFB together!
Yeah, I remember there were various stories going around that that might happen. Probably spurred by the early revelation that round bases were going to be a thing. So glad it never happened....
.... yet.

Oooh. Has my rantings about a mecha piloted by a organic blob going to come true?
Daleks confirmed for AoS!

Well, this is GW we're talking about...

Regardless of what the new Chaos Dwarfs look like, my mental picture of them will always be set at the 90s big hat chaps.

Also I find increasingly that GW store staff are just annoying rather than helpful
"Hey, bro!! What brings you to the Warhammer shop today? What are you working on, gosh that's interesting, have you seen this....."

Maybe people outside of aos circles are getting the leaked/early sprues and can't tell apart the new stormcast from the old?
I think that'd be the case.
To be brutally honest, I'm fairly involved in the AoS circles (well, I'm on this forum at least!) and I'd struggle to spot new Stormcasts from old.

I put my name down... although I fear it may be too late to reverse the decision regarding the poor beasties, at least it might make GW a bit more thoughtful before axing any further factions from a game.

Could I have a source, please? Because that's not what the article on Warhammer Community said a few days ago.
"We encourage you to continue using your collection for casual play, and we will continue to support this content with rules and balance updates as needed throughout the edition."

Again, if GW will continue with support for TOW and that the sentence "the scope of the project has changed" has some substance, than it is perfectly possible that Vampire Counts, Daemons and Dark Elves will become a core faction sooner than later.
And have the same Daemon models used in three different games?
Why not. They're worth it.

My favourite way would be a system of official equivalences for new/still existing models, where you can use your old ones for broadly similar ones in GW Stores/GW Events (which of course propagates to all other communities).
That'd be ideal. Similar to the list of 'counts as' they included at the end of the Compendiums when AoS was first released.

Sometimes GW can surprise you. I was damn sure Slaanesh was getting booted out when AoS was a newborn. Could have never predicted the glory that is the current Slaanesh range!
Now if only we could have our god back...

Well, not exactly.
When it comes to SCE, what GW said is that the squatted units will receive an free PDF supplement with updated rules. Which is fair. But next year, they will be moved to Legends (maybe with some final rebalancing) and then... it's over. No more updates. So, how long until using these units will become impossible to play with due to further rule changes, balance issues etc.?
They've said they'll update the rules as often as needed as long as this new edition lasts.
Ultimately, though, it comes down to the question of how long it's reasonable to keep supporting rules for models that are no longer produced. And that's a bit of a moot point.

will i miss more customization options for lists? sure i will 100%, but i won't miss it as much as feeling free to build a kit however i think looks best.
Agreed with bells on!
All my decisions when I'm assembling models are based on a) the lore, and b) what looks cool. My Chaos Warriors all have paired weapons, because that feels more Slaanesh-ish and, therefore, cool. That might not have been the best tactical option, but I don't care. Indeed, at the moment they're having to count as having other armaments, since the paired weapon option got the shove.
Anyway, the whole 'counts as' thing is nothing new. Standard bearers and whatnot have always counted as being armed the same as the models around them, for the sake of simplicity.

So hold ob to the models you've poured love and effort into. And don't let a bunch of corporate shareholders motivated by greed tell you what you can and can't do with them.
Well, to be fair, these greedy baddies have said that we can do exactly what we like with our miniatures. They've made it perfectly clear that there's still going to be rules for everything. It's just a fraction of players who are really affected by the decision to restrict what's allowed at official events.

I assembled all of my Chaos Warriors with paired hand weapons, and all of my Chaos Knights with Ensorcelled Weapons. Strictly speaking, they got invalidated by the most recent Tome. Of course, I've been still using them... resorting to the 'counts as'. It's pleasing to think, though, that under the new edition they'll be 'valid' again. Hopefully.

Idk, the US market is clearly massive, given the new series of Doctor who is being released at midnight UK time I'm not surprised really.
Yeah, but that's because the international release for Doctor Who is done by Disney now.

Liking the new Warscroll format. Nagash's is a huge improvement on the huge blob of text as it currently stands.

I'm not usually a fan of Stormcasts... but you've done an exceptional job with them! The gold and the emerald green is so vibrant. And the bases set them off perfectly.
