  1. Having Leaders/Battleline is a matched play Requirement so won't be relevant here. Having a Gore-fist as your stronghold would be legit!! [emoji6]

Remember that any model in your army can be your General in any AoS game (apart from the ones where TOs inexplicably ban it!!).

Which Battalion are you going for? Weirdfist? Or are there a bunch of unpointed ones in the campaign books I don't know about?

Ironjawz are my initial thought for sure (shocker), but I've always fancied using Braggoth's Beast Hammer...

I was thinking the Weirdfist I'd overlooked it initially, however it fits rather well. I normally represent my General Olrog as a Wurrgog Prophet but the Weirdnob will do. I also rather like the image of him stood on top of a fortress drawing on the Waaagh energy of his Boyz to super power his spells.

It feels like Ironjawz have been a little short changed on the Battalion front the only non pointed one in the campaign books is Gordrakk's Megafist which isn't really appropriate for the event. The one from the battle force with the Giant might be a goer but I've not seen it

The Beast Hammer would be cool and I reckon fairly easy for you what with the new Start collecting box.

  2. The "fluff" argument annoys the hell out of me "oooooh your Megaboss should be the general as he is Da biggest" meanwhile you have a celestial hurrcalicalllaammaiiiiiiim (you spell it I obviously can't) in a sylvaneth army or 3 huskards mooching about with Bonesplittas who would/should turn about and start bashing their own monsters from a "fluff" perspective.
Anyway it's obviously hyper offensive to the majority of the player base of AoS simply because they have to then actually play a bit to get their easy wins over us poor ironjawz :-)
looking at the lists for Alliance tourney coming up 1 ironjawz player...... sad times

Delegation is key to any leadership strategy,

"Oi Ratgash, you tell da Boyz what to do, I'm going to crump some stunties"

So as it was Wednesday yesterday, we were treated to a new Image from the Rumour Engine

Personally, it looks more 40K to me but can see a AOS angle to it as it looks a bit like some of the kit off the Stormcast Relictor

I don't know has an AoS feel to it for me, just stone no rivets and what looks like bladed weapon damage, GW do like a bullet hole for 40K stuff.

  4. Seems entirely sensible to get a popular faction that sells complete. It'll keep the money coming while they do the other stuff. It seems Stormcast are the perfect candidates. There's still plenty of stuff to be getting along with in the other factions and grand Alliances, I think Death is the smallest and has 50+ units.

  5. Stormcast are obviously selling well. It the way of things if it sells they make more of it. An updated Battletome is good news I'm hopeful it'll set a bit of a precedent.

Any thoughts on what else we'll be seen from this surprise release? It seems GW are still able to keep a few things up their sleeve.

  6. Where do you find points in the app?

They only show if you've bought the digital copy of the GHB through the App. To see the points you add the Warsrcoll to MY Battle, select My Battle and in the top right hand corner of the screen it say Profiles, tap on this and the Warscroll portraits will change to show the pitched battle profiles (including points)
