  1. Since the one that decide who to take first turn will have a quite big advantage there will be a race to the bottom into always getting a one drop list (which will limit the list building) unless there is some way to counteract it. For AOS it is the double turn and if you take it away alpha shooting one drop list will be so dominating that a lot of games will be determined by the roll off to see who gets to drop first.

So the double turn can decide some games, but to remove it will only cause new problems. And since shooting list are already dominating the meta now I prefer if we don't give them more advantages.

  2. I think the big problem is the balancing issues (both internal and external). When one (or if you are lucky two) option in an army is better in pretty much everything it takes a lot of the fun away and it also make it a no brainer when making list. You should be able to make a list of mixed forces without feeling like your missing something.

I like big monster, but in AOS 2 a monster dominant list was pretty much dead in the water since it couldn't hold objectives. In AOS 3 it's much more viable, bit instead Zombie/skeleton heavy SBGL-list and Gitz-lists with a lot of reinforced units (which I also like) are punished due to reinforcement limitations (which I dislike).

In the best of worlds both kind of list would be good, and a person that found a good balance between units or a cool combo should be rewarded (instead of sentinel spam (I have a LRL-army but refused to go down that route) or dragon spam).

  3. The new warcry-boxes feels to expensive compared to the old ones. Sure they are good value compared if you buy them in AoS but for a Warcry-player they are a bit weird.

Feels like they should do something like Underworlds-band instead if they really would want to make Warcry it's own thing (although I realize it's unrealistic).

  4. 40k had a slow release too, so the reason they are getting a lot of love right now may be that their codexes arrived late and have to be crammed in right now. Son in a couple of months we might see a lot of AoS eh they arrive.

Sadly for me none of the 2 boxes have nothing interesting, so instead I have started to paint some Tzeentch.

Wait, I don't get it: isn't exploding 6s always better then reroll 1? Chances on 1 and 6 are equal, and the reroll only gives a chance at a hit, while the exploding 6 doubles it.  Unless another rule is incoming..

And, yeah, welcome back reroll to hits.

Depends if they have another effect that activates on 6:s since you only can choose one if there is mutiple effects that happens on 6:s.

Wait a balance update instead of letting broken things fester and leaving the weak to rot until kingdom come?

I know I've been gone for a few years, but this doesn't sound like the GW I know.

The weak armies are still weak (with perhaps the nighhaunt as an exception) and the top 6 armies are as strong as ever...for my gitz the pointchanges did nothing and for my LRL the increase in sentinels have a small but insignificant impact since I didn't do bowspam.

  7. So, when I looked at my gitz list In the app I had to choose a herder and a prodder to give a command model and a wargear for my squig herd to make it legal. Pretty sure that I have not had to that before. Sign of the upcoming fix/faq?

Question: does anyone know the base size for a zombie dragon?

I bought myself an early Christmas present, the stormdrake guard. One will become a black dragon for my CoS dark elves, and the other will become a zombie dragon. The base appears to be 70mm x 100mm, which I suspect is smaller than a zombie dragon’s.

    It's 130 mm

    1) of Course I knew that! (just wondering but who is teclis again?)🤪

2)makes sense, considering that some of the older armies that existed in the old world can be pretty amazing looking.

and with the recently streamed castlevania series, I’m guessing that a few people sprang on the hype wagon.

Also they are an old world army.

I wouldn’t hold my breath if skaven  would surpass the newer faction like the hated poster-things, for being more popular.

    3) that is easy,

    they aren’t rats….🤗,

have I told you guys how great the skaven are, and how much fun it is to convert different kind of stuff into weapon teams and so on?

    Because it really is.

“join the skaven, for we…. Kill for a cookie”

Well, since SBGL have Kritza, the rat prince one might say that Skaven have infiltrated them so altough they call themself Soulblight Gravelords they really are only a new subfaction of the greater Skaven?

The inclusion of the three most likely nerfs Mega-Gargants could get, along with the non-committal "might get some of them or all of them" kind of makes me doubt this rumour comes from a place of genuine insider knowledge, to be honest. It's kind of impossible to falsify, unless Mega-Gargants get no nerfs at all.

To be honest Megas have become a gateway keeper like Sentinels in that to go 5-0 in a tournament you probably need an answer to them, so that they get a nerf in some way seems plausible. But as you say the rumour is very vague.

    Mega gargant rumours:
    - little less hp
    - more cost so only 3 big on 2k
    - count on obj degrede with wounds

Unclear if one of 3 or all 3

If it is all three it looks like a big hit with the nerf hammer. Gargants are big divider into thoose that can deal with them and thoose that can't, but of the three things mentioned the last one seems like the best fix to making garagants more fun to play against.

  12. If I go by models that I have painted or seen IRL and tat is new for this year I would go with the Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof (minus points are awarded for that I had to look up the spelling and still isn't sure I got it right...). It was so fun to paint and base and it really look like a big boss. However it is still not as good as Big Morathi which is till my favorite GW project I have done.
