Well, that "Hastings" over there at War of Sigmar probably isn't the same guy from Warseer time, as he is usually quite wrong.

On the other hand, Valrak Rumors + Dwarfen Dice = I trust the next TOW release is Orcs & Goblins vs Dwarfen Kingdoms next in 2024.

I'm also taking from the last TOW Lore article that we could see Chaos Warriors before they got to the Siege of Praag (which is "not anytime soon" and got me worried for my black armored barbarians) ...

The "we eventually sometime in the not now but soon future will get to the Siege of Praag" kinda rekindles my hopes of a Kislev release.

And oh my, my Cities might be getting even more Dispossessed soon (which I'm most likely also going to use for Old World as well if I can figure out a movement tray solution).

Having a look through the Beasts Of Chaos section of Warhammer.com, I really think (and hope) that Beasts are on the slate for an AoS 4.0 complete overhaul. Almost the entire range is from The Old World and with Beastmen listed as one of the 9 core ToW factions, I could see see them being "removed" from the AoS line-up only to reappear in a large Army Box (My guess is alongside Wood Elves

I wouldn't worry too much about Beasts, since they have already gotten some AoS team designed stuff (scenery, endless spells, Beastlord). Dispossessed and the Steam Tank are also staying (for now) in Cities while also being used for Old World.

I don’t know how I’d handle finally seeing Tyrion and Malerion in their God Form. Both are such important Figures in Warhammer Lore. So curious to see what kind of Mount Tyrion will be given, and Even more curious to see What they do with Malerion - an Enigma nearly 10 years old now. Given the quality Teclis, Ushoran and Alarielle, I’m sure these will be phenomenal.

Apart from Tyrion, Malerion, Kurnoth and Morghur are there any other big names in lore still waiting for their debut?

I suppose I could add Grombrindal in there as some form of Avatar/Unifier of the Duardin as I doubt will ever see the Ancestral Gods of the Duardin in miniature form.

I mean, at least Grungni is both 100% alive and active in the realms. Could see him leading his own Lumineth style "classic" duardin faction if Dispossessed ever leave Cities.

    An incomplete one 😅

That doesn't include a lot of the stuff from the website (which doesn't even include Cathay even though it has been drawn.) I know it's really far out (if we ever get it), but some Cathay stuff in the core book (like the snippets from previous ones/Ogre Kingdoms) would be nice. And some stuff on Kislev (which is probably more likely since the entirity of it is on the map and is hopefully more likely to get some minis)

How do you mean? What else could have been shown? It can't get any bigger than this for a specialist game. It's already stretching the limits this pre-order for a specialist game.

I was referring to the sentence from yesterday's article ("special reveal to ring out the year")

Callis and Toll seem likely to follow the Ven Dest launch. A Dawnbringers 5/6 box with them and maybe something else. So early 2024 indeed.

Guess I know what my first AoS purchase in the new year will be 😛

Also, some folks over at Bolter and Chainsword have started brightening some stuff from the 40k teaser. Anyone with the skillset/tools to do so here? I've tried, but I can't seem to do the right combo of brightening it and preserving the detail...

  8. Priority no. 1 is finally figuring out the paint scheme I want to go with for the new Cities range (currently thinking of a mix between the original and new Greywater schemes), and then finally finishing off the army set. After that...

    • Trying to do some more in-depth conversions for an Ironweld themed Cities Warcry band
    • Expanding my Cities to 4000-5000 points
    • Probably getting back to my Dark Angels Kill Team
    • Finally getting around to trying out painting T'au
    • Finishing off my Votann to Necromunda Squat gang conversion

But but we probably have 3 RE for Lady of Ruin , 2 RE for Nighthaunt poisoner, 2 for Kurnothi, 1 Ossiarch , 1 Nurgle , 1 stormcast  and maybe more ! ;)

Since we've already started ticking off things from the calendar, why not have some predictions?

The question is whether they wanted to reveal DA today or they were scheduled for different day. Is this that “huge” reveal they promised or did someone forced their hand by leaking the photos?

Regardless of scheduling, we should still be getting "something special" tomorrow (Tomb Kings and Boxing Day mini?), and probably some smaller reveals every day (hopefully solving the entire Advent Engine)

Tune in tomorrow for a huge reveal, followed by something special on Boxing Day. Throughout the week, there will be teases for what’s coming in 2024,

I really doubt the Slaves are getting an Unnamed Circle character since Eternus is the leader of the Unnamed Circle and his lore implies that he has basically converted the entirety of it to Be'lakor worship.

Maybe we'll get a more "official" answer to that (can Be'lakor take Varanguard?) and have this new character (Lady of Ruin?) leading the Archaon loyalists?

Seems believable, although the Death boxes are a bit suspect (more ROR that are not Mortarchs?), and it's a bit "safe", I guess (and no Vandus vs Khul?). Would be happy with that Cities wave though!

And at least everything having a name makes this one pretty easy to confirm/debunk by the time we get our next reveal.

    image.png.f41b34c276dc40d1ee97c6df816b9a03.png

Seriously though, I think we are getting a Festus remake/new Nurgle "doctor" character and this is their backpack.

P.S.: now that we've seen some more "corroded"/less refined wood, now I 100% think these two are both the same model/squad and that it's for Cities (who appear to have become the ultimate masters of smooth looking woodwork now that the refresh is done)

    New Cities Arch-Surgeon it is!
