It's on the AoS index when you click the tab, here

    image.png.11545b85cd89587fe5e996e0d0148721.png

You can see the "reveals" section scrolling downwards

    image.png.44908d57170a160059eed54d1d7285f5.png

I presume the unpaid intern didnt update it for the rest of the articles

Why is it even a separate element?

If they are going to paste the same footer into every AoS article they might as well have put it into a single one with a divider or something.
And the two parts use exactly the same template down to the class names.

Bit off topic, but the inefficiency of this imho is pretty weird. Unless they only want the model reveals section in just the index article.

Anyway, how many legs do we think a new Cogfort could have?

I really hope it's not just the Paladin bit...

Does that mean we're looking at (least) two different "paladin" style units? The units in the trailer looked plenty big as is, but then we also got Praetorians alongside Annihilators last time around.

Also, anyone care to speculate on the "Behemoth" Skaven model? A huuuge Moulder monster? A massive warp cannon? The biggest bell the Mortal Realms has seen so far? All of the above?

    The Paladins and "Custodes" are most likely separate, but regarding the two lightning-wranglers, hear me out;

    The Lord Vigilant on Gryph-Stalker?

Ah, our daily "Whitefang back me up tease".

Maybe the Lord-Vigilant watches over the others in the Ruination chamber in case their flaws start getting out of hand?

Why don't they mention the Cogfort?

    THE COGFORT?

    THE COGFORT????

Please let this be the next correct thing to add to your track record.

Also I'm just going to cherry-pick what I want from that and say that Dispossessed will stay 🥲

Early warning of what's going away in 4.0. It's official, Beasts of Chaos and Bonesplitters are off to the great Old World in the sky, at least for competitive play.

And so it is the end of an era of the beast
Really sorry for BoC and Bonesplitters fans.

But also, why are Dispossessed staying? Are they too stubborn to leave before a new Battletome? Are we, cough, getting new Cities/Lumineth style duardin this edition?

You forgot Silent People and Malerion always being right around the corner guys trust me I have an inside source at GW

There also some long term plans by me to add a Cities wave 2 that will totally have a Cogfort, a generic priest and new Dispossessed to that list if sufficient time passes. And also Warcry Flagellants. It's only a matter of a few timespans now.

Will this be the look of the new model?

Seems like the artwork is based off of a slightly de-hoboified TWW Grombrindal
Steam Workshop::Singe's Skills for Grombrindal the White Dwarf

Although there doesn't seem to be a single 1:1 perfect match for a design that's the same as on the new cover.

Really hope we get a Gotrek style mini for him.

The GW stores promo in the end is to decide the fate of Embergard!

Also, that's a cool looking Malleus coin:

    MotM Apr01 DawnbringersActivity3

The Emberg(u)ard in the article is just used as an example city name.

Nice to see that I won't miss out on a new Coin Malleus,. as it appears to be the same coin they gave away with Dominion in boxes of six.

Could it be, btw, the new Embergard heraldry? And now it is when they an ounce our WHFB minis going out. Hot and Cold at the same time.

Article (and thumbnail) say it's the city of Hel Crown.

Which according to Lexicanum is a Khorne stronghold.
With Cities iconography made specifically for it.
With a unique icon and heraldic beasts.
And definitely Order Cities of Sigmar themed.

    WHAT

Maybe I missed the recap but what exactly is happening here?

These cities "exist" and they'll get destroyed or not depending on games played in them?

I mean judging from the number of them it won't matter one way or the other. They're not on any maps nor could they possibly include this many cities into the games lore (especially considering how much they reuse assets from book to book) so what are we hoping for? Maybe a list of which ones "won" and "lost" at the most?

Judging from some of the store Facebook posts, the surviving cities should get their own colour schemes and icons designed by the local community (at least for the 2 Vienna stores).
Whether this will be the case for all cities, or if this is just something a few stores are doing to expand on the event is still up in the air though.

And judging by some of the city names posted here, most names seem to be generated from a pre-existing list (i.e.: Astrid's Eyrie and Astrid's Gate, The Last Eyrie, Last Gate and Last Chance)

So this will most likely have very little impact for most us (maybe some cities some writers take a liking to may end up on maps as generic points of interest/ or as little lore blurbs), but so much cool hobby stuff has gone undocumented in the past that I thought it would be nice to have a little collage of what happened.

  13. Didn't get as much done this month as I had hoped.

2 Steelhelms, a Steelhelm Herald and a Fusil-Major (without Warhulk for now)
Didn't put much extra detail on the Major (since most of him will be hidden behind wood panels), although I did try to make his equipment look a bit less worn and a bit more fancy than the Steelhelm standard. Quite proud of his face as well :D
I might try putting some blue markings on the shoulders to try to adhere to my plans for a hierarchy (mostly metal armour -> mostly white enamel -> mostly blue enamel), or maybe some gold bits from the transfer sheet.

Apologies for the bad image quality on the Steelhelms, I still have to figure out a good way of making bearable looking group shots.

They actually say that the "Battle Plans and Tactics from the GHB will be in the launch box." They don't say the GHB will be.

Maybe they'll "put" the GHB into the launch box version of the core book, like how the Leviathan book had an extra 102 pages compared to the separate release to include the first Crusade campaign book.

Am i the only one that likes delfs in CoS? Give me more shadowblades and scourge privateers please!

I absolutely love Privateers, although I'm a bit iffy on the rest, since a lot of the time they just feel over-the-top evil/generally not nice even within the scope of the setting and especially the faction they are in.

Your definition is different to mine. "GW Released a free PDF index and then literally nothing else for the faction over a 3-year period" doesn't mean "surviving an edition" to me.  They will get a free pdf pack at the start of the edition and THAT'S IT.

This isn't directed at you in particular but some people really cannot read what is right in front of them. ALL BOC models are being moved to TOW and BOC will NOT get a BOC AoS4 edition. Just look at the site, the product line. This is happening.

Up to now I've felt like they wouldn't just get rid of Beasts wholesale, but recently something caught my attention

    image.png.5e0be2a8c4de823f1721e632dee8959b.png

The only new AoS BoC mini we've had has the same kind of "oath-stones" as Darkoath.
Maybe they get rolled into S2D as "beastified" Darkoath?

  17. I'm starting this thread in an attempt to catalogue all the potential new cities being fought over in the more than 500 official Warhammer stores.
If you feel uncomfortable sharing info about your location, you can still contribute by, say, checking out what's going on over in New Zealand. Or if you are from there, why not look at one of the (frankly maybe too many) UK stores?

Most stores' info should be available on their Facebook pages.

    So, to start off, Warhammer World and all Austrian stores;

    • Warhammer World - Wilderforte
    • Wien Westbanhof - Astrid's Eyrie
    • Wien Gasometer - Goblet Rock
    • Graz - Marona's Post
    • Linz - Unknown
    • Innsbruck - Unknown
    • Klagenfurt - Unknown

But that's the icon that Embergard uses. It appears in Dawnbringers 5 in a drawing next to the city name.

Well then, that settles it :D

It could be, there’s a big twin tailed comet to go with Zenestra and her cult in Embergard, and 3 little red dots around that could represent embers.

For the city next to it being Verdigris ? I don’t know but I feel like an image of the sea and a sea monster don’t mix well with a city established in a Ghyran forest.

Yeah, I haven't gotten around to catching up with a lot of the Dawnbringers stuff, and Verdigris sorta sounded like it could be near water.

  19. 8 hours ago, Ejecutor said:

That's literally where Embergard is as well. Also, on a side note someone on WhatsApp brightened the CGI trailer bit where the Steelhelms appear and there was a banner where the Embergard icon could be seen.

That's just one of the generic city icons from the transfers (bottom middle)

    Spoiler

Cities of Sigmar Round Table: Part Three – Creating the Heraldry and Iconography - Warhammer Community

But MAYBE it's going to be established as Embergard if the city survives in the next BT (and maybe the one to the right of it will be Verdigris)? Sorta like how we now know the cult icons under the Cult of the Wheel are for the Brethren of the Bolt.

Or it's really just a generic "not named major city, use anywhere were a city gets destroyed" emblem.

  20. Just went looking through the range, and seems like stuff shared between TOW and AoS is probably safe for now.

So hopefully Dispossessed will stay with us for a bit still (while being a comparatively worse deal probably with 10 vs 20 for infantry)

This is awesome. Now we are looking at it those 2 at the bottom have to be Sacrosant chamber right? If this is a new design for them I love it. I do find the story behind the Sacrosant some of my favourite for Stormcast, but they are quite chunky (though I do prefer them over warrior and vanguard).
