  1. Love that Tyranids are already going out in 2 weeks (considering the models left),hoping also SM will go out smoothly.
Still lovely kits,if i did'nt had too much things going on i would have bought a leviathan box tbh.
But i fell for the cities box instead XD.

Doomdiver style winged cannonball gitz being launched from airships.

    This would be the dream.

They would incarnate the gubbinz and siege weaponry side of grots.

They mention vary types of airships and strange contraptions.

On the other hand...do we know what GW originally said about the timeframe for the third book of dawnbringers?

  3. Bonesplitterz are the Gorkamorka incarnate side of orruk, abandoning them ruin flavour of the green god.

We just need the gorkish grots to complete the greenskins.

I just read the Arkanaut oaths and those grotbag sounds amazing, still hoping gw will give them a release with some Gitmob to "complete"(maybe in a unified battletome like the gloomspite).

3/5 Ironjawz units we know about, I can't wait to discover who the last 2 are ! Hope I discover it on this thread.

Pig rules out the chariot imho.
I'd love something for Bonesplitterz\ogors or Kruleboyz but seems IJ only.

  5. So...no elite infantry unit?No warpriest?

Seems a second wave is in the oven imho...the kits seems too few for the "biggest project in aos till now".

Great characters but if everyone of them is a single warscroll means we don't have enough toops imho...i don't like this trend of having 6/7 heroes and 3/4 units.

Hoping for the characters to be a sort of command squad/Gobbapalooza unit.

I like the use of the term "fiend", since we had Seraphon being called order/star daemons, I really enjoy the idea that maybe AOS daemons are not all evil? or at least, not all CHAOS daemons.

Chaos daemons are made from the chaos gods essence, doesn't make senses "good chaos daemons"....still order "daemons" would have made senses also in whfb considering the order deities (alluminas\arianka and so on) that were enemy of the chaos ones.
Daemons is an all catching term to some extent like the greek Daimon in such cases (as Seraphon starborne).

  7. I'd be honest....cities becoming multi-species imperial guard is kind of intriguing and interesting.
Having a motto against the other 3 grand alliances (i'd have used demons tbh but fiend sounds the same) makes senses: the crusades want to reclaim the realms for the order pantheon and fight every threats posed by chaos,Nagash or destruction\beasts.

@Baron Klatz IIRC reclaimed were all the people that did not worshipped chaos during the age of chaos and resisted them, chaos taint (unless some cases like Tornus and stormcasts reforging) can't be "undone" so they would be the first target to be eliminated during a crusade\expansion probably.

Would love to see an AoS equivalent of dark eldar mandrakes. One of the coolest concepts in 40k imo.

Considering how aos is sometimes mirroring 40k i would think is a real possibility a mandrake aos version.

  9. Cities is a long term project so i don't think we will not have something that will "make possible" using old oop kits.
Kurnothi seems wanderer 2.0 with some animal side, Malerion "maybe" will bring something similar to old DE and Grungni maybe will expand old dispossessed into something more like a "classic dwarf faction in the mortal realms".
Also the cities can take options from other order armies so i can't see why someone should be against using old wanderers as a kurnothi in a cities army like tempest eye's Kharadron.

Whitefang hinted at a cannon here, and elsewhere he said to expect whacky gunpowder contraptions. I think we haven't seen a lot of this yet, apart from the sniper musket on the Ogor warhulk.

Considering that hero i'd say some ranged unit and artillery should have already been confirmed.

Probably gonna get replaced. The kit is old, even if it's a treasure trove of bits. And with the dawnbringer crusades being a religious movement and we getting a whole preview about the different cults and doctrines of the sigmarite faith, I think a "flagellant 2.0" kit is highly likely.

I hope,we need more sigmarite cult goodness in the cities otherwise i't would be lame.

Actually, I've now decided that if the War Alter isn't on a floating rock pulled along on chains and ropes by Dawnbringers, then I will have to push my modelling skills and do it myself.

I'd love a cult of the wheel version....no wheels but flagellants taking the altar on their backs.

I'm wondering if we'll get different types of priests this time around? the teaser articles mentioned a few different cults. It would be cool to see warrior priests of Grungni or even Alarielle

edit: there's a bunch of minor Gods or Godbeasts to pick from too I think??

Considering how they specified different cults among the sigmarite worshippers i think we'll get only those sadly(cult of the wheel, church of the Heldenhammer and so on)....

That model is epic. It truly looks awesome. For the first time in model form we have true scale Ogors!! This is the size in terms of height they need be!!

I kind of life how they look different but at the same time I cant help but feel...use a different race?

I dunno Im torn!! Ogors in AOS are defined by their guts and I understand its a different breed per se but I dunno it doesnt look 'Ogory' enough? And instantly to me cant be used alongside regular Mawtribes unless you are proxying a Gorger. (For me it doesnt fit)

It also has me anxious that Mawtribes wont be updated with new Gluttons, Ironguts and Leadbelcher next edition.

Honestly if they do give COS this guy and a new unit and DONT update Mawtribes Ill step away from the hobby for a while. Im that anxious about it.

    In summary;

Great Mini but hard for me to call it an Ogor.

The whole point of giving the "order ogor" no gut is a stylistic choice that makes sense imho.
They wanted to bring back the pre-6th edition ogor look to make them distinguishable from destruction ones.
Brutogg was the first "clue" about this and i like the idea because makes both types of ogor "different" without going too much away from the gw ogre history.

  15. What if the 4th edition starter will see a new "subfaction" of a preexisting army like Kruleboyz?
The only thing i could see are kurnothi though for Sylvaneth...(Malerion and Chorfs technically have their own forces i'd say).
