  1. I am a fan of Kragnos as a model, and as a concept, just not for Destruction. Model design wise, he’s a big centigor. Concept wise, an ancient demigod beastman returning has more of a hook for me than a last surviving member of a race I’ve never heard of before. But working with what we have, he needs a faction of his own using design cues from the model. He just doesn’t mesh well with the other Destruction factions. And agreed on separating the Orruks. The unified Warclans book seems like a leftover from the design philosophy that gave us the original Cities of Sigmar and Legions of Nagash books, consolidating multiple small factions into one place.
  2. FOMO-ing an arbitrarily removed range leaves a sour taste.
  3. GW Managers don’t get told anything like that. Chances are the rumours he’s passing on originated here.
  4. Gotrek has always been like that. He was the Warhammer Worlds least successful Slayer of all time. You also have characters like Gilead Ut Lothain te tuin Tor Anrok demonstrating abilities no other elf is ever mentioned to have.
  5. Or is the (9) how many years he’ll be in the game for?
  6. Mine are being boxed up and shelved, in the forelorn hope that one day they get Votann-ed.
  7. Unfortunately I get the feeling “ back in a different way” merely refers to them returning to TOW. That, I guess, is the sole comfort for Beast players willing to carry on with Legends rules - you’ll still have easy access to the miniatures. Bonesplitterz-wise, stopping playing is inevitable for me since I won’t be able to easily add to my army, same for those who focused on Sacrosanct themed forces.
  8. Some will, other people will leave the game. I’m sure my interest will bounce back but right now I’ve zero interest in 4th edition.
  9. Cities Duardin are all but certain to go as soon as a new Battletome arrives. With TOW, I can’t see them bothering to invest in a redesign or a new non-Karadron/Fyreskayer Duardin faction.
  10. I expected my Bonesplitterz to go sooner or later after they shoved all the Orks together. Which is why I’m not effing and jeffing over them. Beasts I expected to be revamped, new range and background. I’ve never liked their AoS background, so a Cities of Sigmar sequel rethink and redesign would have been interesting. But to abruptly remove them and treat their transfer to TOW as some sort of consolation doesn’t sit well with me. And along with the other removals raises a lot of uncertainty going forwards. Skaven, fair enough, the removals are for older kits and some have not aged well and will see new incarnations. But the Sacrosanct losses smacks of being dropped to force the sale of the new Stormcast. And why invest in the upcoming Ruination chamber release, if in two editions they’ll go too in favour of new Stormcast Chamber Flavour X?
  11. Not really. The issue with the door burning was never that he was quitting the game, it was burning the models he’d spent so much time and money on rather than selling them. Its completely understandable to stop playing, just don’t cut your nose off to spite your face.
  12. Well i was unfortunately wrong about Beasts. I’m not going to lie, today’s article killed my enthusiasm for AoS stone dead. It makes it very hard going forward to justify any purchases, because in two years or less are GW going to decide to Legend them? What about my Gloomspite? They’re founded on the Night Goblins, can I expect the to be dropped like my Boneplitterz should TOW sell well enough to need the Gobbos back?
  13. It’s implied at least some of them were, others have their origins in the Mortal Realms.
  14. The words “streamlined army building rules” fills me with dread after the mess 40K is in. I hope to Hashut and his lovely daemons that we aren’t given the Rule of 3, Battleline limited to 6 garbage.
  15. Unfortunately I have to agree. I’m not clamouring for their disappearance by any means, like I said I’ve got a 3k Cities army made up entirely of Duardin, but I’m bracing for the worst. And for GW to muck up army selection in AoS too for that matter, after the mess they’ve made of 40K 10th edition.
  16. The use of the Ironbreakers and Thunderers kits, along with them declaring Runesmiths and Kings being back (despite never going off sale) is what leads me to that conclusion. The bandaid needs to be ripped off sooner or later, even if it means my 3000 odd points will be Legends at best.
  17. Dwarf release for Old World spells the doom for my Duardin City of Sigmar. Wouldn’t be surprised if their units are just left out from the Index thing. Maybe I should do a reverse AoS launch and swap them to squares.
  18. Bloody fancy blades make me think Soulblight ( or Blood Angels if it’s 40k)
  19. I think it’s a previously unreleased dwarf for TOW too. The design is dwarfish, not duardin and the blade is pretty thick by modern sculpting standards. Either that or it’s Grombindal for WD500.
  20. I really hope 4th isn’t changing things to the point we need Indexes. Having rulesets thrown out after two editions of 40K has gotten old really quickly.
  21. Finally, now we can have a break from whinging on every GW social media post.
  22. But boy are they still moaning about it. On every GW social media post, AoS or otherwise.
  23. I understand how you feel, my first army ( and favourite) for Warhammer was Chaos Dwarfs. So I went from army book and models, to get you by Ravening Hordes pamphlet with nothing, to nothing at all, to super expensive Forgeworld, to nothing, to Legends and now nothing but percolating rumours. On top of that they were in and out of the background and had their place on the map given to Ogres. But until it happens, there’s always hope. This Whitefang fellow isn’t omniscient, and GW come up with new plans and concepts. So their future isn’t set in (herd)stone. If the worst happens just don’t burn your army on a door.
  24. ‘Beasts of Chaos’ might go but that doesn’t necessarily mean there will be no faction that are beasts of chaos, just we’d see a new range and new name for it. Even if they are dropped in their entirety, it doesn’t mean they won’t return. Personally I find their current fluff exceedingly underwhelming and dislike their whole “hate the chaos gods because they’re not Chaos undivided enough” thing, so I’d be fine with a complete rework.
