  1. I really hope all our beloved armies are getting refreshes at some point. And it seems like the 2 i like most are the still a mystery (bonesplitterz, spiderfang). I would also guy new stabbas/shootas in a heartbeat. At this point i dont want to buy into decades old models that look out of place compared to the new goodness GW continues to release. I feel like i am not the only one who feels this way. I also think that it forces GWs hand to some extend to update these units or at least the popular onces like the gitz.
  2. Give me a greenskinz version of this one for frazzlegitz please. Seems like the perfect thing between gitmob and grotbag. I also hope to see some generic sourbreath troggoths sometime as a unit of 5. I think it would round out the subfaction.
  3. I agree, i am trying to kitbash some beastsnaggas for my next project.
  4. I like the classic Morruks more if i had to pick one. Most of the AoS era orruks designs look great imho. Bonesplitterz have much potential and the recent Ironjawz wave has some great units. I also like some of the Kruleboyz designs. It took me some getting used to but i like them now. I agree with the Mirebrute, great Troggoth design and would like to see more of those, i also like the ranged units a lot. I dont like the Marshcrawla and Hobgrots though, thats just my opinion of the unit itself and not the design space used here. But to me, to be honest, i dont get why Orruks need to be split up this much. I dont mind orruks with different body types mixed together, i am a big fan of Big Waaagh!! the most for that reason. The more options for creative freedom the better it is.
  5. How about Lumineth, heard they are great.
  6. I like to plan ahead the projects i want to work on and slowly gather the models i would need. Might still change this up as i go. At the moment i have these 2 projects pending. 1000p Ironjawz with a Chamon wolf theme. Using lots of metal and wolves to build this force. Kitbashing thunderwolves and beastsnagga boyz as gore gruntas. Using fenrisian wolves with 2 beastsnagga handlers as an allied squig herd. Want to get this model and add him as a warchanter. My second project is a recent one. A non-sigmar/Morrda alligned Lethis CoS force led by Krethusa as a raven priest. Might throw in Doomfire Warlocks/ Dark Riders. I want to use the warcry hunter and hunted warband with the dogs and add a few ravens here and there and use steelhelms to make them count as battleline. Might have to get them printed somwhere. I also really like the marshal + envoy and the big cannon. I think i would be close to a 1000 points here.
  7. If i had enough time and money i would make a black and white paint scheme with Gold parts and magnetize all the feet. That way u could make a bright base for Hysh and a dark base for Ulgu and u would have both. Could actually do this with other armies. (Might have to do this some day, but i have too many projects already)
  8. I am kinda starting to get in a similar situation. I have filled up 2 display cabinets and i dont have space for more at the moment. I have to put some models in boxes and think of which ones i would like to display.
  9. Just throwing in some ideas. Seems like the AoS version of heaven. A quick search revealed that the people of Hysh often use the Serpent of light as a symbol. I would reflect that in the minis. Maybe as a sort of tattoo. Its also a place of wisdom, this could be reflected by using a few wizards. To further go along with the light theme u could use a bright paint scheme. Something like this reptile? Could even use more white with turquoise accents. Found this one on Warcom.
  10. Had any of u ever thought they had enough minis? I have to be honest. I dont think ill ever have enough. I do have a limit to how much i want to invest in 1 army. Right now it seems to be around 3000 points if i really love the army and around 1000 points if i just want to be able to play with some models or use them for Warcry. After that i would like to start something new again.
  11. I am starting to like this Bonesplitterz Spiderfang combo. I think it could also make a lot of sense if they want to. The reasons why Spiderfang are hanging out with Gloomspite are very thin at best and can be rewritten easily imho. Its mostly just being allies. I think Bonesplitterz and Spiderfang have much more in common. Spiderfang are know to have shamans who use Arachnarok bones. So do the Bonesplitterz. Both also heavily rely on beasts or draw power from them. Both get drunk/frenzy in waaagh power or spidervenom. Both like fast mounted units. Bonesplitterz can use some behemoths and Spiderfang can use some staying power. Copied some stuff from lexicanum here: "Grots go to their bone-filled pit full of offerings and summon the living incarnations of their deity, the Arachnarok spiders." This bit is about Bonesplitterz: "Amberbone is sought by shamans and ambermantic sages for its ability to empower spells that transform casters into beasts, primal predatory versions of themselves or to unleash their hidden savagery." Please give me this animalistic/ primal/ frenzied greenskinz. Dont know what to call this army yet. But i might just build this army even if it isnt happening from GW.
  12. I think its flavourfull for Gargants to be dps checks. Would be weird if they get slain by everything. I thought it was a complaint by many that rules dont represent the models well. But i think Gargants are some of the few models that actually feel different.
  13. Havent really kept track of the dawnbringer schedule. When can we expect Krethusa to be released? And when do we get to know more?
  14. I actually dont expect any big changes so close to 4th.
  15. These look great. What scale are these and how much did they cost? Might be interrested in some buildings like these.
  16. This. GW tends to switch around whats good as editions change. Thats what j noticed for the armies i play.
  17. In ToW u have to paint more minis. I think it actually not that bad overall. I think more detail makes the minis look more impressive by just painting a few parts a different colour compared to lets say an average greenskin from whfb thats mainly green with some browns.
  18. I would love somthing like that. But i have 2 cats and an almost 3 year old daughter XD. Maybe sometime in the future i can build a dedicated hobby space in the attic. But that space needs a serious renovation first.
  19. This is how i feel. Another massive game i dont have time for at the moment. Ill be honest and say i would probably have played ToW if i had the choice when AoS started. But after all this time i am so deep into AoS i just dont want to drop that for another game (again). Ill maybe try a game once or twice with my old army. Edit: And seems like my old whfb that i kept on squares isnt actually really represented. Talking about mostly Bonesplitterz and Spiderfang here. I do own some Gitmob that is supported but i dont plan to buy any actual old models again for a premium price.
  20. Just out of curiosity. How much time do u spend painting? I try to paint at least weekly, but the parent life sometimes prevents me from doing so. I try to get at least a bigger model or unit done a month.
  21. If she is priced that "low" im buying her as a painting project for sure.
  22. Work in progress. Highlighted more gold parts. Noticed that i need to put some blackline some of the gold to make it more easy to look at. Also put some texture paint on the base because that needs to dry for days for some reason.
  23. This is how i used to play them in whfb. I would LOVE to see this happen ! ! !
  24. I still believe Morghur is an option in the Gnarlwood story. Wont be sad at all if they get a warband.
