Huh, I just went over to GW webstore to think about what I want for christmas, and noticed something. In the AoS section it shows the battleforces subsection/filter thingy and the only thing there is the Soulblight Gravelords start collecting.
Would've been more exciting if I discovered that before the official announcement, but still indicates we might see them go up very soon. Could be just a bug on their site, but imo they're testing/preparing for the battleforces preorder

So, before we start anyone wanna repost that warhammer preview bingo that was going aroubd once?

last one is from faction that already have 2 warbands in Underworlds so I thought it will not be interesting to share
That'd be:
Gloompsite gitz, Ironjawz, Blades of Khorne (there were rumours of something for them, right?), Slaves to Darkness and Sylvaneth (if counting Kurnothi)
I personally hope for some new type of sylvaneth or spiders for Gitz

So, which one of ya'll who own wh+, my dearest friends, volunteers to pick off any sort of interesting, rumour-starting, information from the Teclis lormasters episode? XD

Well well disappointing BUT at least there are apparently new scenery coming with that Red Harvest thing ; those kind of lava pumping devices that are apparently modular...
Speculation or rumour with source?

I'm now imagining what GW can do with modern sculpting technologies when it comes to new, dynamic spiderfang (let's be honest, the old ones are terribly static) and I'm getting hyped

Well, the hour when warcom usually posts the most 'exciting' article of the day has passed, which is kinda disappointing, but then again, they have to do it for two more days (gen con ends on 19, afaik) and already covered 2 out of the 6 systems covered there, so kinda makes sense that one day had to have nothing.
Here's to hoping we get something awesome for warcry tomorrow!

Next month:
Tome Celestial: Seraphon
That means that we'll get an update later, but a big one with many updated sculpts, right?
RIGHT?!

WOOHOO ULGU HYPE TRAIN. At that point we can almost guarantee umbraneths introduction in this season, right? I'd also be shocked if we didn't get another idoneth warband, considering the underwater setting. Overall excited, and quite surprused because I prefer the stormcast over the kruleboyz here. The hammer dude is awesome, though the executioner hobgrot is sure giving him some competition!

Do we have any idea at what time specifically to expect the preview? I'm really excited, especially for warcry and would love to know for what hour specifically I'm waiting

Speaking of Warcry, Element Games just revealed they're doing a clearance of Catacombs at 40% off RRP.
*Looks at wallet*
*Looks at unfinished (barely even started) dominion and cursed city*
Oh boy, here I go buying!

I know FAQs are the hot stuff now, but I found this very interesting:
My chrome article proposing discovery thingy just showed me an offering for a job as a terrain designer. It's been posted 19 hours ago. The interesting thing is this part:
"You will also need knowledge of the Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warcry Intellectual Property and games systems"
That, together with the Call of the Everchosen articles ending, makes me think things are coming for warcry soon. Terrain probably means a new starter set too. I know they design stuff really far ahead (or at least we think so) but that means they're planning on expanding warcry in the future, and for sure aren't abandoning it.

Warcry rules for the Dominion kruleboys and stormcast, which is nice. These Warcry WHC posts by Sam Pearson have tended to be pretty great, good rules and fairly hefty campaigns for free stuff.
Looks like this is the last one for now though, with an interesting coda.
Lol my first time getting ninja'd, was just writing about it.
This makes me hopeful for a new edition of warcry. Though to be honest I'm not sure it's needed. I don't really play, but heard that most people like warcry's rules. Would like to hear opinions from people who play regularly, is a remake of the ruleset needed?
Anyway, I love every single miniature from warcry, so whatever new ones come out, I'll be happy

So, about that mentioned 'greenskin goodness', what do we think? More 40k? Just more AoS rule previews? Endless spells and/or terrain? Or do we dare to hope it's kruleboyz cavalry? Speculate away! Personally I'm usually hopeful 'till the end, but my gnashtooth related dreams are slowly fading...
Okay, now that I've deceived mods, we have official 'statement' about battletomes. Better late than never?

I figure the beastskewer and the mirebrute will be first up for Kruleboyz, as they were the first to be previewed.
Similarly, the chariot and shooty boi for stormcast. They are easy to build kits, and they'll probably be what gets released first. I think that's what happened with second edition AoS and 9th 40k

"Speaking of which, check back here tomorrow for a look at some of the flexible new options coming in the Orruk Warclans battletome."
I know it's not, but
GNASHTOOTH CAVALRY CONFIRMED

In the article about the US open, GW confirmed their presence at gen con and that there will be news
"Warhammer will be hitting Gen Con in full force, including exciting news (just like the old days) you won’t want to miss."
So we have a confirmed preview for 16-19 september. My bet is that by then we'll know what the chaos battletome, but maybe they'll reveal miniatures to go along with it. Another guess could be new underworlds season logo reveal.

I know this is related to Kill-Team, but it looks like going forward GW are going to try and guarantee pre-order boxsets. The stipulation is they may take a few months to land if the initial wave sells out.
"Going forwards, we’re looking at ways we can make sure you don’t miss out on other awesome box sets too."
By The Old Ones, GW actually making a good change. Recently they've (rightfully, at least in part) got a lot of hate but this makes me incredibly happy. I don't even want Octarius but paying 1/3 more for Cursed City really hurt me, so hopefully that happens no more

That’s not the point.
The point is that GW thinks that some armies need help in this edition. They could help those factions right now. Instead they choose to make you wait in order to pad out their archaic publicity magazine.
Just as you'd need to wait for a new battletome for third edition? Which would also be more expensive?
-
It'll be certainly very interesting to see the warbands, they might be good indicators about which factions get updates. I'd like to see a clan skryre, zombies/deadwalkers with a necromancer, umbraneth, cities of sigmar, grungni's dwarves and some form of demons, I'd like khorne ones. As an impossible pipe dream, silent ones warband. With kruleboyz and thunderstrike stormcast that would be a nice roster for this season. As a setting, I'd like ulgu, still a lot to discover there and I like shadowy, edgy stuff

Bit sad that the Magazine dosent have a unique sculpt like last time
I've built dominion recently and am fairly certain those sculpts are exclusive to the magazine. It's just that they're not that unique since they're basic battleline troops

Looking at it a couple times, no matter how much I want it to be, I don't think it's seraphon. I've built quite a few of their models and no where do they have any form of rivets like that. Sure, they could get them as a part of larger visual overhaul.
I'd say it isn't stormcast either. Once again, it's not clean/new-looking enough to be them. They do have these type of small rivets in a couple places, but the cut/tear in the metal isn't their style. Similarly, I'd expect more refined craftsmanship from Grungni's duardin.
Generally, I think it's not an order race. Imo it's either chorfs (especially now that I looked at my hobgrots - their armour, which comes from chorfs, indeed has rivets and is quite battered. Another possibility that comes to my mind is ogors, but that could be just me wanting KingBrodd to be happy lol

Imagine being a Seraphon player reading that you had secret dragons for thousands of years but have to give them to the Stormcast because your faction is too lame.
Sad times.
Don't have to imagine *sad lizard noises*
On the other hand, I kinda see why the Draconith are not for seraphon. Seraphon already have a set aesthetic of dinosaurs, aztec/mayan stuff and some ocasional space stuff. Draconith seem to be more generic western dragons, so I don't really see them fitting with seraphon visually. Now, if they were coatl style creatures, than I'd need them in my seraphon army.
Still, a bit bummed they're stormcast. I'm sad that the stardrake will likely get replaced (not really, but the new one will probably get used much more), would prefer draconith as order's Sons of Behemat style army

The Rumour Thread

That reddit rumour seems to good to be true, just based on the fact it has two out of my three most wanted releases - seraphon refresh and silent people (the third being umbraneth). I choose to snort a gigantic line of hopium, copium and other meme-y words and believe the rumour
