If the Newborn is truly its parent’s worthy child and heir it may not even want to release its sire/mother

Well its not as if orruks get on with each other let alone Gloomspite, Ogors or Gargants.
Think of GW like "First and Third World" terms we use in the real world. We use them as terms to describe economic and social development. Within those groups you see similarities and patterns and alliance blocks. The Grand Alliances are the same, you don't have to be friends with anyone (Idoneth actively harvest souls from humans/aelves from Order all the time - the only reason they are in all out war is likely because the other GA don't have a powerful undersea force sufficient to wipe out the Idoneth- when they remember that they are there).
So there can be war within a GA, its perfectly natural. Indeed with chaos beaten back somewhat and with power struggles within a GA its to be expected that there will be a struggle for dominance, influence and power in what is recovered. Such events are just what chaos can use to sow discontent, chaos and corruption as well as to leave Order forces weaker from within and thus ripe for invasion.
It helps prevent the GA becoming all powerful and unable to be assaulted except by another GA
Amusingly Order in A o S is similar to the Forces of Evil in fantasy - unstoppably powerful if it wasn’t so divided against itself

First stab (ha!) at adapted Misthavn list -
Freeguild General on foot
Assassin
Sorceress on Dragon
Fleetmaster
1-2 Sorceresses on foot
Battlemage on Luminark
10 Darkshards
10 Corsairs w Handbows
20 Handgunners x 2
40 Corsairs w blades
5 Pistoliers x 2
10 Shadow Warriors
10 Executioners
20 Greatswords
Scourgerunner Chariot / Hydra / Kharybdyss
5 Drakespawn Knights
If I've calculated right this lot would contain six units of deep striking lunacy
EDIT - may maximise insanity still further by making big block of Corsairs three more groups of 10 instead?!
-
On where Idoneth came from - they were all the souls devoted to Mathlann. So not just High Elves but likely Eataine /Lothern, Cothique and other outer kingdoms from Ulthuan, Sea Elves chilling in Marienburg etc, and, especially, Black Ark Corsairs from Naggaroth.
I sometimes wonder if Volty has Aislinn or Lokhir’s soul...
We thus have as well as the Phoenix Guard / Hysh paradox a Corsair one, whereby most world that was Corsairs will have become Idoneth

I’m pretty sure all Lumineth are in fact by definition from Slaanesh; glorious with a hidden flaw

I never quite understand whether 'normal' Witches Sisses of Slaughter etc are untainted, ie once lived on Azyr and were never in Slaanesh, are born from Slaanesh rescued souls just don't show it as much as Scathborn, or a mixture
I could see Morathi still greedily harvesting while Teclis got it all over with in one huge necessary display or power? Leading, notoriously, to two batches

Didn't the latest Sylv stuff mention Kurnothi a lot (and Wanderers not at all)? Kurnoth also features along with Tyrion as a less prominent aelven deity in Soulbound. The Kurnothi are clearly a popular concept too, so I'm certain we'll see much more of them eventually.

It would be a slight loss for Soulbound, which is just bringing out really awesome rules for Anvilgard. But perhaps GMs could play through the Shadows in the Mist adventure then adapt the setting to resemble Har Kuron. Who knows, maybe the as yet unpublished bits of the adventure already subtly begin to do this!
I do feel that Anvilgard is currently the perfect Tortuga / Tatooine adventure setting, but perhaps swapping out Sigmar for Morathi-Khaine and gloomy Stormcast for scary Scathborn would only encourage this. Perhaps. I like the current balance of outward lawfulness and inner corruption though, and fear a Khainite transformation would have to wreck that.
Agreed the A o S rules would not be a huge loss!

My wish list after Morathi -
Broken Realms : Louencoeur. Neo Brets under new Lion God!!!
Broken Realms : Borgio & Belladonna. Dogs of War return and allied w Lion Brets lead an anti Sigmar Order human rebellion
Broken Realms : True Shadow King. Alith Anar returns and confronts his ancient enemy, usurper of his title, Malerion
Broken Realms : Abhorash & Vashanesh ( aka Vlad). The coolest vamps ever defy Nagash and rise to rule a benevolent human empire
Obviously absolutely none of these are ever happening but I can have them in my heart

The Warcry gang was a missed oppo to make a fresh departure
-
Understood and agreed, good point! Didn’t someone say the name meant something like home of monsters in dark elvish?
-
Mordheim lives!! But yes
-
Kouran was Captain of the Black Guard, from Naggarond. Tullaris of the Executioners poss the Har Ganeth guy you meant? Sorry to be pedantic, thrilled to see Kouran remembered in any form!!
-
Or in this case the murky forests of Ulgu...chopped down and turned into boats
-
Druggy Nomad Prince pretty irresistible!!!

I mean at least they’ll live fast and die high
gives the high seas a whole new significance...

But Drusa is from Anvilgard, not HK...

Shadowhost seems background wise related to Anvilgard, where Drusa’s from?
-
I think daughters and serpentis monsters
-
Basically Misthavn seems like a second chance to deliver what Anvilgard could have been - sneakiness, dissimulation, intrigue. Hoping for subtle boosts to characters, maybe ways of hindering or assassinating enemy heroes, better assassins shadow warriors dark riders and of course corsairs?
-
There may be further refinements as yet unseen? I hope so
-
The immediate answer appears to be DRUGS
