Just awesome

Unless he isn’t!

Fight for the hammer & kraken!!

Well everyone loves Darkshards most. I've always found Dark elf swords far cooler looking than spears but have to admit not wild about either tactically as far as I can tell
-
I love above Araby idea!
Demigryphs, Pistoliers, Dark Riders, Freeguild Guard, Corsairs, some cool scimitars Greatswords if poss?
Maybe you could away with whackier proxies too. I have an Arabyan on a flying carpet who was initially going to be part of a Luminark and is now controlling a monstrous menagerie / hydra... (panther, ogor, winged nightmare all otherwise unemployed!!)

Surely Morathi can't take an artefact?
Oh or is that on the SQ? Traitor's Banner such a nice fitting item!!
-
Clearly Aethis, the Poet King of Saphery
-
Still in Aqshy. Morathi has moved out of the shadows and into the flames!!!
possibly to escape her son’s, er, shadow

Personally I like to think of him as a huge ink dripping shadow kraken at mo
-
Well, as per recent background he can be half aelf half dragon - but can also be anything else! And more usually goes w Aelf of Dread Aspect for social chitchat. Like God the Father being an ineffable concept but settling for older Zeus w white beard to help worshippers’ comprehension
-
According to Soulbound Mally can assume any form but most frequently takes that of ‘an aelf of dread aspect’
Yeah I’m just saying that cos I like that phrase a lot

Generally people are theorising vamps, Malerion, or Be'Lakor in that order
I reckon vamp given the van Brecht context but would probably expect Mannfred more than Neferata than this one (bat wings). Or even a noble FEC!!

Binding I gm has a lethally efficient Skyrigger

A million per cent agreed re Regiments of Renown

Latest version -
Freeguild General on foot (general)
Assassin (may deep strike instead of hiding him? Thoughts?)
Dreadlord on Dragon (deep striking)
Fleetmaster (deep striking)
2 Sorceresses on foot
(this has ended up a bit wizard light so might make general a wizard via command ability?)
10 Darkshards
10 Corsairs w Handbows (deep striking)
10 Corsairs w Blades (deep striking)
20 Handgunners
20 Crossbowmen (these are actually pretty cool human models, some of them Marksmen of Miragliano others Mordheim, and I can't quite bring myself to make them Handgunners or Darkshards despite benefits...)
10 Freeguild Guard x 2
10 Dark Riders (deep striking)
10 Shadow Warriors (deep striking)
10 Executioners
10 or 20 Greatswords depending on other decisions (Freeguild General probably goes here)
Hydra (deep striking)
5 Drakespawn Knights (deep striking)

Maybe by power behind the scenes they meant Drusa is best kept off the battlefield!

Shadow Warriors currently in a weird limbo lorewise aren’t they what with notionally serving Sigmar? Perhaps best hand waved as secret mission Malerion classified etc!!
-
That army idea sounds cool Jymmy, I’d keep it with your aelves rejecting Morathi?
-
Yup. Although it’s made of ships so perhaps technically could move in future through whirlway!!

I thiiink it seems maximum that can be deepstruck! Is 10. But that still may be quite good...?

Do people reckon Freeguild Guard and deep striking Dark Riders, or Pistoliers and deep striking Corsairs?
-
I think it may be Misthavn that is currently looking a bit declawed spellwise? But not sure
-
Lore comes first second everything else and last for me
Innately suspected actually loyal elves sound really cool - somewhere betw Shadow Warriors and Prof Snape...

Or stick to stubborn loyalist Anvilgard resistance!

A lot of people seem to have joined the dots between the Defender and the Newborn, to be less coy! I am not at all sure how I feel about this possibility...
