  1. I think its because painting another 10 Raiders is a killer!

40 has to be better because with 30 as soon as you lose one model you've lost the rerolling 2's by being less than 30 models. I've only got 20 at the moment but I will be doubling them.

As for shielding them with the 10 Gors tax - that makes sense. I didn't really have a use for them. I do now 😁

  2. I'll be interested to see the replies here.

My initial beginner to BoC view would be that 200 points is a lot to protect a unit that melts anyway and soon loses it bonuses (With the Raiders thats 520 pts just there) .

I've been using mine as merely an annoyance that the enemy have to either take on then get tied up for a few turns or risk getting picked off slowly.

4 and 4 with no rend isn't a great stat which is why I've been running the Desolating Beastherd to get those extra hits. Rerolling 1s and 2s and 6s an extra hit can be good while it lasts.

Huge fan, couldn't play a Gloomspite Gits game without them now!

I've got 40 chainrasps in my Nighthaunt Army which could expand, and 20 Ungor Raiders (soon to be 30), 30 Bestigors, 10 gors and 10 Ungors (maybe going up to 30) and they're all already magnetised to go in my box.

Maybe I should look in to these 🤔😂

  4. GW can have big discounts on box sets if they want, take Soul Wars as an example, almost £300 worth of stuff for about £100 and all designed to get you to buy more.

The Lumineth set is also designed for new players as well as existing, or it seems to be with the addition of the rule book, dice, combat gauge etc.

I see this as a fancy Start Collecting set and is 100% meant to get you to buy more so I would think it will cost between the start collecting sets (£60) and Soul Wars (£100)

Edit: Just seen this is a limited edition set due to the limited edition battletome. I'm still not sure if that would put the price up to as much as £125 though... 🤔

... I hope the next weeks will be like this..

I'm hoping you're right. I'm trying to ignore the Lumineth so I actually have some money for Sons. And the GHB. And some updates to the BoC. And... And... And.. [ad infinitum]

I'm hoping that if the Lumineth are released this month if not early June we will start seeing more Articles on them for the Warhammer Community website soon. I'm fully bracing myself for the eventuality of an August release.

You should keep hoping for more things... seems you have the power, well. enough for your first hope to start coming true! Sons in August anyone?

Oh man, backlog free. Is it a dream or a nightmare?

Right now it's OK. I've still got 11. When I cleared the backlog before getting this last set I had a Mausoleum to paint. That's done now. I guess I'll go back now and touch up all the bits that I have painted differently to how I do now. Rusty weapons, blood etc.

After that, or once I get bored of that anyway, then I think that's when the shakes set in and you just stare at the calender waiting for payday so that you can get some new stuff to feed the habit.

    It's gonna be a chimera next I think 😁

As for the why no one uses the sword... I don't know. Its on the box. The strange thing about it is that he gets +1 to missile attacks and not melee so it's a big sword that does naff all for him 😂

Does that mean you are that rare unicorn without a backlog now 🤔

like the big sword in the champion by the way! Nice little conversion to place him above the rest.

Yep. Once those last 11 are done I'm backlog free 😁 and the sword isn't a conversion it's just in the box 😉

  9. And then there were 20. So that's 1 Cygor and 10 Ungor Raiders done and I've got 10 Bestigors and a Great Bray Shamen left.

That will then be this painting contract complete and I'll have been forced to stop spending as lock down lasted longer than my savings could handle my spend rate!

Если я выберу один из хостов Хаоса из книги гнева Everchosen, могу ли я также дать ключевое слово из Battletome?

    P. S. В книге говорится, что Slaanesh может сохранить ключевое слово хоста, но как насчет культов Tzeentch или Slaughterhosts of Khorn?

If I choose one of the hosts of Chaos from the book of anger Everchosen, can I also give a keyword from Battletome?

     P. S. The book says that Slaanesh can save the host keyword, but what about the cults of Tzeentch or Slaughterhosts of Khorn?

    For ease 😁

...To be honest, not many people have enough room to have a 4'x6' table around. Smaller boards allow to play on smaller tables and therefore allows more people to enjoy their hobby without weird balancing issues or to have rescale each single mission...

But of the three sizes suggested, all 3 are still almost 4' wide, 1 is 5'" and the other is 7'6 so if these sizes were used they would still require a table 4' wide and now nearly 8' long. And these are minimum sizes...

Imagine units like Stormcast with their 5 inch move having to get across a minimum 90' board in 5 turns!

... AOS has no official table size in 2.0 the missions work on any table size that's rectangular...

The Core Rules have it as at least 2" square but the battleplans are all measured as if on a 6'x4', as are the terrain generator options in the GHB so I would guess that this is the size recommended. If the sizes all change then like previous comments have said - warscrolls have so many size and distance requirements then it all gets complicated - 6" ambush, 9" from enemy, 3" combat zone, Spell ranges, distance between objectives and more. I get that these could be adjusted to match but it's gonna get awkward with various sizes.

It would be a lot easier if they wanted to change everything in 3.0 to just set any new sizes as a straight percentage - 2'x3' (50%), 3'x4'6" (75%) and then 4'x6' (100%).

  12. I don't know how 40K works at all and I have a limited experience of AoS too but if there was a generic CP system, would that take away another element of difference between armies?

It seems that there are some armies that have more access to CP's, some less, some armies that use a lot, some less and the same for summoning too. Isn't it this variation that makes for the interesting games? Doesn't that breed the tweaking of rosters and load-outs?

The more that abilities and so on become generic, the more the armies are too.

  13. Having just finished my terrain with some detailing - Azyrite Ruins and Sigmarite Mausoleum - all Chaos Black dry brushed with Dawnstone - and now with bones. metal and plants painted - I am awaiting my last BoC to arrive on Sunday and they will be my contract for the month.

So 1 Cygor, 10 Bestigors, 10 Ungor Raiders and a Great Bray Shamen.

However if lockdown proves as productive as it has been that will be about 10 days worth 🤣🤣
