A typical daemon list is going to be 3 or maybe 4 bloodthirsters. Usually a rage thirster, Skarbrand and then one of each of the others.

Flesh hounds are ‘decent’ battleline and you may also want skulltaker and a blob of bloodletters.

Daemon prince is decent to add as he has a good aura i.e., halve run and charge in 18” radius

    Thank you!!

No Preview but there is this:

Speaking of Warhammer Community, we’ve got another full week of glorious hobby articles right here, including multiple new model reveals and more Warhammer+ news.

The multiple new models could be more Black Templars stuff but I think they would do a Preview for that so maybe something for us?

Black templars for 40K is likely and or more stormcast or kruleboyz stuff. I think they said there are a few surprises still to come but correct me if I’m wrong.

Hopefully the lore will actually still be decent in the new battletomes, it has been gutted in the new codexes.

Hopefully I’m sad painting guides were scrapped in the codexes too. Less lore means more to sell in extra books

For all those that like to divine the future from tea leaves and old parchments, here is the list of factions presented before AoS 2.0 in order:

    D Nighthaunt

    O Stormcast Eternals

C Everchosen & Slaves to Darkness

    S Ironjawz

    O Fireslayers

    C Hosts of Slaanesh

    C Maggotkin of Nurgle

    C Blades of Khorne

    C Disciples of Tzeentch

    O Daughters of Khaine

    D Legions of Nagash

    O Sylvaneth

    C Skaven

    D Flesh-Eater Courts

    O Kharadron Overlords

    O Seraphon

    O Free Peoples

    C Beasts of Chaos

    S Beastclaw Raiders

    O Dispossessed

    S Grots

    S Bonesplitterz

    D Nighthaunt 2

    O Stormcast Eternals 2

    S Gutbusters

    O Aelves

    O Idoneth Deepkin

while the first 4 battletomes for AoS 2.0 were:

    Stormcast eternals

    Nighthaunt

    Beasts of Chaos

    Gloomspite Gitz

while I would welcome a box Gitz-BoC, being first after the starter set would seem too much the same as AoS 2.0…

What do the letters in front of the armies mean?

    Skinks = Blowpipes and shields
    Flappy Bois  = Terradon Riders
    Bastiladons = Solar Engine
Stegadons = To be honest, all the variants kinda look the same. I'd imagine most people won't mind you playing the model as any of the variants. The EoTG is great in some instances (especially in Thunderlizard). The Steggy Chief is great all around. The Skystreak Bow is my favorite for the stegadons.

Thank you so much this helps a lot I’ll be getting Kroak too when he comes out as his model looks amazing

I'd say Lord Kroak is a GREAT add to any seraphon army... BUT... he is about to get a new model! So I'd wait to see what his new warscroll will be.

But yes, what you have will be a ton of fun! Hordes of skinks (with the mortal wound buff from Starpriests) back up by some big dinos is great way to play seraphon!

Obviously SKinks shine in Fangs of Sotek... but those models could also be pretty good in Thunderlizard!

    EoTG
    Skink Chief on Steggy
    2x StarPriests
    2x Priests
    70x Skinks
    2x Bastildons

That is alot of firepower! Double firing the Bastildons in Thunderlizards is where they really make up their point cost! Just beware the lower bravery of Skinks in Coalesced.

A great add if you have an extra 40 points is a Bound Burning Head. Lets both Bastiladons reroll hits of 1.

Thank you! How would you suggest building each unit/big model?

  7. Hi all! I’ve got two start collecting skinks, and two boxes of skinks and two stagadons do I need anything else or am I good to go? I have no clue when it comes to list building I mainly just wanted a cool skink army and to try and avoid the older models in the rank.

  8. I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned but I spoke to a couple people I know at GW and cursed city was cut as over the most recent lockdown in the UK we are only now exciting their UK print company went bust, the had big plans with them including cursed city and they had closed their China facility due to this. It’s not the best scenario but it’s one I can understand due to the unforeseen circumstances.

what I personally disagree with is the handling of the situation, all they needed to do was clearly explain the situation and apologise for the misinformation. What they did was sly and pushing comments under the rug didn’t help.

Thankfully I’m not interested in cursed city but I definitely feel for others. Hopefully this doesn’t happen again.

I’m going to hazard a guess at the info is mostly true but the leaker is just guessing with the mostly obvious and therefore is also not fake info! Hoping malekith is indeed a true part to this!

Malekith has been hinted at lots before he’s a long time coming, this is all vague and pre existing information

What does that even mean? That some of it is fake but not all of it?

The guy who posted it has posted fake leaks in the past for other games and has cleaned his account so it looks fresh. The “leak” is a compilation of pre existing rumour such as the hob goblins, guesses such as dwarf soup as grungi is back and new dragon stormcast seeing as they have basically redone liberators and paladins so why not the dragon cavalry and flying units, and other vague info.

everybody please take this with a grain of salt if any at all, it’s just a karma chaser there’s tonnes of it on that forum.

If any dwarves get souped, I think it's Dispossessed with Fyreslayers. Because slayers were an established part of the Warhammer Fantasy Dwarves range and they have a small enough number of models to work as a subfaction of a "big dwarves" army. But souping in Kharadron is what makes on sense to me. They have a strong aesthetic and play style that is very different from the other dwarves and it would definitely be like souping up Idoneth and Lumineth.

Exactly. I just picked up some KO because they are not the traditional dwarf aesthetic. I don’t really like the other dwarves and personally I wouldn’t really appreciate KO being bunged in with the rest it doesn’t make sense even with grungi returning.

*mutters and grumbles about the rumour cause stormcast getting all the new dragons* That alone is justification not to believe them!!!! ;)

Dwarf Soup could or could not work. Khadorans are totally their own thing, are popular and have a very distinct design. They just don't fit into the idea of being rolled back into the other dwarf groups.

Fyreslayers are quite their own thing too and I think the only reason they aren't more used is that they are just not a diverse army in terms of model range. Meanwhile regular dwarves are just ignored thus far and have lost a lot of their flare (siege weapons and the like). Each of the three is very distinct.

I could see Disspossessed and Fyreslayers merging quite easily, but Khadorans I can't see easily merging back into Dwarves not really a reason to do it.

I mean imagine them souping up Idoneth, Lumineth, and Daughters

I would tend not to believe this because it's all established topics of speculation. I also don't think an all-dwarves soup army is very likely, with how popular Kharadron are.

I frequent that subreddit often, this is just one of those people mashing a bunch of vague stuff together based on things already know, rumoured, or guessable. He’s deleted all his posting history but you can check it on websites for credibility and he’s attempted to “leak” battlefield and call of duty before. It’s just karma farming off the hype unfortunately.

I wouldn’t trust anyone unless they have a strong consistency with leaks prior, or can verify a source with the mods. Lots of people like to write vague stuff and build communities of it.

  14. I’m not expecting any more endless spells, some armies still don’t have any, it’s showing now the necroquake is over and with these endless spell hunters that they are likely being less focused on. Scenery is definitely possible but as before some armies don’t have scenery too but they’ve got a pretty large release inbound so personally I’m not expecting it to be like Lumineth, we might see more in a couple years.
