    Considering how decorated in trees it appears to be, I would imagine that it is a scenery piece.

    This sort of low lighting effect does the range justice making the whites on the armour much crisper IMO. As for the dawnriders my theoretical unit of 10 just went up in size to a max unit. oh well.

    Same here buddy, but to play the cynic, it does look very close to the helmet on the vanari dawnrider's leader model. But the lack of the tri-plumes in the art could mean it is a new model....

    I personally have given up on the idea of Tyrion being present, but I do like the range as a whole, the mix of japanese and european styles scratches an itch I was not quite aware I had to create something unique.

    Im with you on this, I have a pair of OC's I have been sitting on in a design document since the end of 8th edition, hoping for a new High Elf faction and without a generic combat hero I may just keep them in the design doc.

    Ok that art is incredible, and if those were the proportions on the model I think they would have gone down much better with the fan base

    I agree wit this sentiment entirely, I myself will use my unit of white lions to represent the stoneguard when the army comes out instead of the models unless it turns out they are a dual-kit. But even then I may get some anyway and run both units alongside each other.

    Flamberge directly referres to a flame-blade (see fig 1), it was made that way to try and reduce the issue of fighting in formation and does not necessarly have a longer hit as it was used on both greatswords and rapiers.

    You do realise that a flamberge is just a regular greatsword with a wavy blade. It's not any longer in the hilt than a normal greatsword. you may be thinking of the swordstaff.

    My only issue with replacing the hammer with a sword is that the hilt will be too long. An ax on the other hand white lions style.

    where is this info about a civil war, was it mentioned in the livesteam?

    Upon playing around in paint, I merged a custodes plume with the hammer unit. if anything I am not sure I like the result. I almost prefer the horns.... could just be my skill with paint.

    Even if this is the entire release I won't be too disapointed as I see lots of conversion opporunites. I was holding out hope for a generic combat hero but that is looking slightly less likley now.
