In my opinion, during the Petrifex era we had more options. I was one of the players of the Katakros-Crawlers list, but you can also use Nagash and riders, Katakros+Arkhan+Golithzars, or most of the models without Katakros.
Now... or you´re playing some list like stalliarch or crematorians, or you´re going to focus on Katakros (like me) forgetting other options. Yes, we´re going to see (probably) more sub-factions, but less variety... In my opinion, ofc.

Because if you roll and you play on the realm of shadows the morteks lost lots of his power.
I will drop Arkhan (or maybe I will include 3 inmortis for it). All the seraphon or tzeench shooting can destroy him. Maybe a soulmason and a unit of 40 morteks?

I was using that list for a tournament. Our local players have one of the best levels on Spain (we won the last spanish tournament team), so...
Here you have the 3 battle reports. I won with that list. Next battle report will be with flesh eaters vs jaws of mork.
If I have the ETC tomorrow, probably I would play it with this Ossiarch Bonereapers list.

Yes, GHB2020 is better for him and also he´s a character with 3+ near Katakros. You can charge a rear and avoid enemy units for charging you, and both spells are great!!

Just one thing i'm concerned about, is it worth to run the 2 soulblade in the units of morteks? Or just go ith the nadirite weps?
Umm I don´t like Soulreaper´s, but the model is cool (in other army he can be a good wizard, but in ours...). But your list is great and you said that you have 10 kavalos, so win the tournament and tell us the battle reports!!
I´m using 1 soulblade for each 10 morteks always.
Tomorrow I will do the last battle report of the tournament, the big final vs Kharadron!! When I have it I will post the video here!

Bad. We´re on a bad position vs most of the armies, so vs Lumineth... They can destroy us using mortal wounds, we didn´t have magical deffense, they can increase our command points waste...
