  1. Great, now I'm really hoping it's a Dwarf. You people better not have made me disappointed tomorrow.
  2. That's an interesting thought, and I'd be all for it, but the thing that gives me pause with that idea is that they seem to have long abandoned the viking helmets with horns even before AoS. I think only the warriors and thunderers/quarrelers have them and if I'm not mistaken, those are some of the oldest Dwarf kits.
  3. Uneven and weirdly placed horns? Chaos probably, maybe Nurgle? Though I can't really tell if the little horn on the top is on the right with no left match, or in the front? I guess if it's the front, it opens up the options a bit more because it'd be symmetrical.
  4. If they do got the Death Stormcast route, I'm also hoping they do something to make them uniquely death and not the CSM route which are basically Space Marines with horns. I can't remember, but in the lore when Stormcast dies, does their whole body, armor and all get taken back to heaven to be reforged, or just the soul? I guess if it's the whole thing, we're more like to get Stormcasts, but with more bones. We'll see. Maybe its all a big misdirection and we're getting new Nighthaunt models instead. It could happen. Right? Please?
  5. I'm thinking a flying hero on a plague drone.
  6. For AoS, the answer is of course no, but I sometimes wonder if somewhere down the road GW might revisit the Old World on the table top. Rank and file is never coming back, but I could see GW doing a limited "world" within the old world sometime in pretty far future(10 years or so or some kind of big WHFB anniversary). Something limited in factions/models and based on the AoS rules set. That's the only way I think we'd ever see a new tomb king model.
  7. Ah, so he is going to be a separate name character and not just an alternate Lord Celestant sculpt. That's probably not news, but I had missed it.
  8. So on the 40k side, there seem to be credible rumors that a Chaos Daemons codex could slip out between the next 8 space marine codex releases and with it the newly spotted beasts of nurgle and and maybe a new Great Unclean one. Has there been any whispers(i.e. more that conjecture based on more solid 40k rumors) to suggest moves on the AoS side as far as an "event", battletome, or anything else Nurgle related other than just a few Nurgle models getting updated?
  9. So I think we can safely say we'll be getting new Stormcast vs Khorne starter set on January 3rd.
  10. A troll hero and all the existing troll units get "Troggoths Battle Line".
  11. The fact that we've got a Nighthaunt and a mortal StD as heroes right now makes my think it's possible we might actually see a "lesser"(i.e. not Stormcast) faction get the hearld for Order. My guess is something Freeguildy.
  12. Nice to see some substantiated rumors for Nurgle, even though they're exactly what's been guessed at for a looong time. Nice to see that Horty is in the 40k Daemons book, which means he'll probably be getting a standalone release outside of Blightwar soon. I ended up getting the Start Collecting Nurgle the other day instead of Blightwar because 1.) Mostly importantly it was in stock any my local shop and Blightwar wasn't and 2.) I'm in no hurry to build out my Stormcast(they're a small force of occasionaly Dwarf allies right now), so it'll be nice to pick up Horty stand alone in the near future. Right now my Nurgle Daemon stuff is an addon to my Death Guard, but I'll probably quickly expand out the Daemons and AoS mortals soon if the Nurgle Battletome comes to fruition.
  13. I think the list of factions that it likely doesn't belong to is shorter than the list it may.
  14. On a serious note, my first thought when I saw the hand was elven, probably female and that chain does look like it could be attached to something that the hand owner is either riding or holding on a leash(are the rumor engines often orientated weirdly?). So if GW really is taking the dark elves in a "cthulu" direction, it may actually be attached to some kind of "deep ones monster".
  15. That's obviously an elf hand and the chain is of course attached to a cthulu.
  16. Did the AoS and 40k Tzangors come out at the same time, and if not, what was the difference in release window?
  17. Oh I hope that's a solid rumor. I've got my KOs built out and will have my Nighthaunt by the end of the year, and I'm hoping to get started on Nurgle at the beginning of the year. Get some share daemons to round our my Death Guard and then build our the AoS side. Pestigors would be awesome.
  18. It's less that I think it's Elven Shadespire and more that I think it could actually be elven(too many people see elves everywhere), but if it is, I'd guess it was shadespire.
  19. This is the first rumor engine in a while I'll agree has a good chance of being Elven. That being said, if it is from and elf, I'd say the odds are better at it being a Shadespire squad.
  20. Yep, I would expect Shadespire to feature prominently in rumor engines for the next little bit. I think GW is setting it up to be a nice little cash cow and I expect a good bit of hype for it. Hopefully some of that hype leaks over into AoS proper too.
  21. That's what I've got my fingers crossed for, and it kind of makes sense since the overlap between 40k and AoS chaos is in the daemons. I hoped right in 40k with Death Guard, my plan being to have a shared Nurgle daemon portion between some mortals in 40k and AoS. Still waiting to see what comes out on the daemon side before pulling the trigger on the AoS and Daemon side in general. It's not all bad, while I'm waiting, I've decided to go ahead and build my Death army, specifically Nighthaunt with Soulblight allies, while I wait. I guess all the waiting is easier on newer people to AoS like me who have other stuff to build up rather than people with in place armies who want something news. I also started a Kharadron Overlords army, so 2017 has been pretty good to me. Heck I've still got Shadespire in the queue(it lost to coin toss to Company of Iron for the "buy right now"). Yeah if you're focused on AoS only, 2017 was a little front loaded(or slow entirely if you're focused on a specific faction), but GW has been a very big company this year, even on the AoS front, though perhaps not in everyones specific quadrant of happiness.
  22. Obviously armor for the Cthulu Sisters of Battle.
  23. It's actually going to be a line of Stormcast on horseback.
