    Yes! This!

Instead of GW releasing the inevitable Chaos Stormcast, the renegade chambers should decamp to Death. Maybe lots of them are weakened by too many reforgings and can't last much longer. Nagash offers them eternity in exchange for their allegiance.

I think I'd be tempted by that range! The Lord Relictor is a great mini. Make them like that but in jet black armour.

I made a bunch of posts about corrupted Stormcast in this thread:

I'd also like to see corrupted Stormcast somewhere down the line, though not from the obvious place in the big four (who they've been specifically built to be uncomfortable by and who's followers the Celestant-Prime breaks the rule of Chaos by uncorrupting), but from Nagash and the Skaven, both of whom have respectively been pretty keen on getting the Stormcast's souls back in his domain/reverse engineering them.

    Quote

I really just meant 'corrupted' in the broadest possible sense of twisted against/not serving Sigmar anymore. The skaven 'Stormcast' (stormvermin cast?) would be the result of Grey Seer Skurrik vivisecting that poor prosecutor prime that got dreaded 13th'd in Quest for Ghal Maraz, and either stealing the knowledge of the Stormcast creation process and using a twisted version of it on Skaven, or dreaded 13thing more Stormcast (or both); possibly as a bid to topple Archaon/other dominant Chaos powers. Nagash's Stormcast would be the result of Nagash reclaiming Stormcast souls after the reforging process and creating a legion of super-wights, locked in an eternal torture as they're forced to take the passenger seat in their own minds as they cut down scores of innocents, subsumed by the will of Nagash.

  2. Presenting...

Almost completed Bugman I'm not very happy with right now but will probably quite like when he's based and I've got started on another mini, and tedious bloody organ gun conversion that it's very unlikely anyone will realise is a conversion, ready for spraying.

Way to ****** off all the Stormcast players!

It's hard to do 360°s like that in wargames because of how much it alienates players. Better to simply imply that Sigmar might be doing something fishy, as long as it's something fishy in line with who Sigmar is, rather than a total inversion.

When AoS first came out and the background was just being established I theorised that the version of Sigmar we were seeing was totally contrary with his previous depictions and the guy sending out the gold-plated blue steel fabulosas was really the missing Slaanesh.

They are all going to be big golden idiots but Ive grown to love them now.

Tbh if they release a dwarf scaled like a regular stormcast is to a human and armoured like a stormcast (basically a stumpy stormcast), ppl will lose their ****** thinking of proxying them as all sorts and using them for normal dwarf conversions and so on.

    Dwarf Stormcast, right here:

I always thought ruination would be warmachines (thinking theyd flesh out stormcast) but it could be wizardy stuff, sacrosanct (where I thought wizardy priests would be) could be wholly devoted to monkery or priestery then.

    Leaving just Auxillary.

Man stormcast have a lot of depth to come.

I might not even leave them ever, other than a side project army (still to be decided)

Yep, guessing Sacrosanct is the mystical types, just hedging my bets suggesting ruination. ;)

Assuming Sacrosanct is wizards and Ruination is cannons, it sure would be neat to see a few aelf and duardin Stormcast in the appropriate chambers.

  6. Nice to see the much alluded to Steamhead Duardin release finally approaching us. The above image is obviously a metal dwarf with a long cloak riding up on his jetpack. ;)

My money's on Sacrosanct or Ruination Chambers. Though a names Stormcast special character or two would be cool.

  7. I did too, but the pack also says "Warhammer is a game of of six equal turns" in the first paragraph of Round Timings and Game Length, and I can't imagine even a game between two Bonesplitter armies managing to take only two turns in the allocated time, so it might be a hangover from a previous event pack.

  8. Hi,

The pack refers several times in several different places (most notably when explaining the penalty for failing to complete two or more games on the score sheet) to six turn games. All of the Matched Play battleplans in the General's Handbook last for only five turns, so I'm guessing this is an oversight?
