Maybe in future I'd want to get a 3d Printer, but I'm happy paying GW/FW (plus others like Creature Caster/Artel W) for quality products.
It might not be a perfect analogy, but bread makers have been about for some time and bakers are still in business. Just because you can make something at home, doesn't mean everyone will start doing that.
Yes, but I think it has at least to be factored into the price development in the future. If bread would double its price within two years, more people may begin baking their own.
Other considerations factor in as well: What I enjoy most in the hobby, for example, is building/mixing/matching/customizing models from the choices of a well-filled sprue and a bitzbox. That’s why 3D printed predefined models don’t really interest me. But they may be worth it if GW goes more in the direction of fixed poses. Etc. -
Sorry, double post

I notice they don’t show much face to begin with. Hard to give them any expression at all if they are basically just eyes and nose. The old models at least had eyebrows and a forehead that weren’t covered with a helmet.

I don’t really see a place for FW AoS models anymore. How I understood it, their business model was offering something special (big, exotic or just out-there) for a special price. It’s what current GW AoS is all about atm. And since rules are updated faster in AoS now, FW models lag behind even faster than in the olden days.

I agree tho. The pirate element feels more fandom echo chamber than anything. It started because of the rumour engines that turned out to be part of the kraken eater as far as I can tell.
And now it just repeats while, to me at least, the nautical elements isn’t there. Then again, this is the rumour thread. The irrefutable truth thread is next door.

Funny enough, all those Rapier-wielders seem to be left-handed. What do they do with their right, I wonder? Holding a pirate-style pistol, maybe?

Also in regards to that rumour engine, these swords are definitely interesting. Do you think that arm has a sleeve? The crinkles in the wrist look at little too odd to be skin wrinkles and look more akin to clothing creases, perhaps a silk sleeve?
Vampiress? 😍
I thought of a long, tight-fitting glove as well. Or really flabby skin. 😄

I wonder why they didn’t take the opportunity to buff the Aleguzzler with an interesting and unique battlefield role when the SoB were developed and introduced. Just as an incentive for other armies to get him. Not only the Aleguzzler box, but also this SC would sell so much better that way.

I find the concept of humans living in isolated, fortified cities quite fitting, as far as I understand the setting. In the long run, I’d like to see Duardin expanded into their own thing (isolated mountain fortresses?), and the Aelves divided among woodtogetheragainwithtreemen/shadowsnakedarkprivateer/luminethhigh.
Granted, nothing new or exciting. Just a little haven for the traditionalists. 😅

Apart from a Sons of Behemat or a Beastclaw Monster army, all armies consist mainly of models bought, moving, attacking and being attacked not as individuals, but in units. Quite sure it’s not a skirmish game.

Is Anyione afraid with the future existence of miniatures like primarchs or c'tan for AOS in every army? Miniature that only can receive 3 wounds as maximum for turn.
This tipe a miniatures are a big counter for all behemot lists as Boulderhead. In 40k all armies these type of miniatures are slowly and every army has enough misile attacks to do this damage in the shoot phase, avoiding the melee with this heroes.
Afraid? No. Meta will always shift, and the Ogor range is thankfully one of the more complete ones out there, with many options. Maybe then belchers and blasters and thundertusks will become more interesting? Or tarpitting, then running around with our fast units?

Yeah, I'd prefer more Sigmarites over more copy/paste SCE too. I long for the spiritual successor of the Empire faction to get new minis.
I heard from a reliable source that anything that even remotely reminds of the Empire or humans in general will be discontinued any second now. From someone named Snowsheep or something like that.

Old Drycha, Isabella von Carstein and the Infernal Enrapturess.

Point is, the SC Beastclaw cannot possibly become even cheaper. Quite likely it will get more expensive (or even reboxed to whatever can be sold for more, regarding the current trends). Now would be the point to buy. But I didn’t make progress on my current miniatures in the last weeks. 😬

I can’t find Alegulzler gargant as an allies option in Warscroll Builder. Are aleguzlers still a match play legal allies option? Or did that change with the release of SOB?
The Aleguzzler is out of the Warscoll Builder for Ogors for a really long time now, way before SoB came. I thought they’d just update points and Warscroll, but it seems they are gone for good.
Hey, it’s not like this single decision unnecessarily destroyed the fluff of my army. 😓

Directly added to the To buy list. Thanks! 😃

What is legal and what is moral for business strategies, transparency, or fairness are political considerations.
What isn’t, then?

It’s what someone who doesn’t know anything about miniatures or GW would think they are worth. 😎

I'd like to give my planned Beastclaw Raiders army a Fyreslayers aesthetic with lavish orange mohawks and beards. Are there enough (4) bald heads on the Mournfang Pack sprue?
Ogor heads should never be a problem to find on eBay, since every Ogor pack contains so many.

The old skeletons are not very piratey either (though still the best skeletons on the market IMO). And grave guard & co. do have a distinctive transsylvanian look.
Seems they’ll have to stay in classic gothic territory then.
