  1. Welcome and have Fun with the "active Lurking" :D

Enjoy the hobby the way you like, but i would suggest playing as much as it's possible.
Even "low point" games bring some routine with your army and everything the can do rule wise.
And with practice there comes the real fun :D

  2. Hey, i heard nearly the same things about the campaign from other Guys.
Is there some requirement for the Warbands with which you face off against the nighthaunt? Or can i pick just some heros and units which i like?
Sorry if that's a stupid question, but i only found the rules for the Nighthaunt part and what to use for the "enemies" but not the rules for putting together a Warband.

So, how did you adjust your warband? Did you go pointwise after the GHB, or do you just took what you like to play?

what does yours say. Double magnet or is the one enough?
their quite small and it seems to hold.
only downside to a second magnet is I’m getting low on them  and don’t know when I will be able to order more. 😂

I vote for a second Magnet, just for the feeling of Safety :)

  4. At the moment i'm totaly not sure, what route i would go.  First i thought "Giants, of course i will get an Army" then i thought "Maybe one or two to field as an ally for my Ogors" and now i think i wait until we see some Models and the concept of the Army. How many different models there would be, heros, maybe a Wizzard/Priest or something.

I have an Orruk Warclans army and an Ogor Mawtribes army anyway so why not a third Destruction faction. Destrution is awsome and absolutly brutal. I love it ❤️

So i'm curious for the Show at the weekend and full of hope, that maybe we see something.

Are three Beastclaw Start collecting sets a decent start to an army?

edit: Too weak willed, i've ordered 3 :D

Yeah, you could build a good 2k List with 3 Start Collecting boxes.
Just build one Frostlord on Stonehorn, one Huskard on Stonehorn and one Stonehorn Beastriders. With the 12 Mournfang you have the perfect conditions for your first Battalion, the "Eurlbad" battalion.
So go on and build your mighty Beastclaw Army :)

  6. I don't have any experiences with Yhetis, so there i could give no adivce.

But about the Frostlord and Huskard "problem" i have some tipps. I have played both of them and i recommend the Frostlord on Stonehorn, because he's an absolutly Beast in combat. And not even with the Prayer can the Huskard on Thundertusk hold on to the damage output. And also the Frostlord have a 3+ save and a 5+ aftersave, so  he will survive much longer then the Husakrd. And i think for this little point difference there is no reason to pick the Huskard.
But i have to say, that because i don't have some yhettis, maybe there is some synergie with batalions, abilitys etc. where it might be helpfull to have the Thundertusk Huskard.

But if you're interessted in a Beastclaw heavy list, then i recommend the Frostlord on Stonehorn. he has so much potential.  And he is by far the most effective Model in the hole range of the army.

  8. Hi Guys, i want to share with you a narative game which my brother, a friend of us and me had last week.
Our friend wrote a whole Battleplan with special rules to play it. It was amazing and soo much fun. We took some pics and want to share them :)

    "The Opening":

Vandus Hammerhand and his Hammers of Sigmar defense a well-fortified position in the middle of a battlefield against the countles enemies of the Stormcast. They choose to stay there in the middle, because of the tactical advantage of their position.

There's a bloodthirsty horde of Beasts of Chaos which follow the bloody ways of Khorne. They are led by a mighty Doombull which carries the Banner of his choosen God on his back. He is the one who want to claim the Head of Vandus to show his pure dedication to Khorne.

And on the other side of the battlefield gathers a group of Ogors riding their mighty beasts. Led by a Frostlord on his Stonhorn, they are hungry and want to devour the next comming thing in their way. The Frostlord himself wants to claim the Head of Vandus to hang it on his belt, so he can show everyone how strong he is.

    "The Fight":

First the Ogors on their migthy Stonehorns and Mournfangs charged into battle to break the line in the Stormcast defense. There were some Liberators in first line, backed up by Judicators in second line and some Sequitors in third line.  They had to take a hard hit.
The charge of the Ogors was brutal and devastating for the Stormcasts.
Meanwhile on the other side the Beasts of Chaos run into the lines of Stormcast with a good amount of impact, after the Shamas used their wild magic to  strenghten their bigger members of the herd. A bunch of Bullgors and a giant Ghorgon are a fearsome foe, but the light of Sigmar shielded the brave Stormcast.

Then the Stormcast strikes back. A Lord Arcanum on a Gryphcharger casted the Everblaze-Comet into the Bestigor invaders to decimate their numbers. Vandus Hammerhand guarded himself with some Celestar Ballistas and a Lord Ordinater on his high ground position. After the Commet stroke down, a volley of shots from the Ballistas and Judicators hailed over the Ogors and Beasts of Chaos. Two groups of Evocators empowerd themself and joined the battle. In the frontlines the Liberators and Sequitors fight for every inch with the big Bullgors and the even bigger Stonehorns from the Ogors.

Slowly the attacking factions strenght weakening. The Stormcast stand their ground bravely and doesn't step back. After an other hit from the Ogors the line just looked like it would break, but one of the Evocater groups steped inside the gap and hold the line.
At the other side of the battle, a giant Ghorgon tried to face off against the second group of the Evocators and even he blow out some seriuos hits, he was struck down. The Bullgors which are outrageously fighting against the Liberators and Sequitors hit a whole in the line and are able to kill some of the Judicators in the back.
The fight goes back and forth, but neither the Ogors nor the Beasts of Chaos are able to weakening the Bravery of the Stormcast. And after the third volley of the Ballistas and the Judicators, some mighty spells from the Lord Arcanum which couldn't be banned by the Shamans from the Beasts of Chaos, the attackers are seriously hurt. It was that hard that they decide to take their loss for this round of the battle and retreat back to their camps outside of the valley where the battle took place. They want to regenerate and gather their strenght for a new attack.

    "The Aftermath":

Now, after the brutal fight was over and none of the attackers claimed the Head of Vandus for themself, the Stormcast are ensured to deffend their position. But the rage of the Beasts of Chaos and the hunger of the Ogors are growing. so maybe there will be a harder hitting Force to encounter next time.

  9. Hello Everyone :)

I thought, we need a place to discuss what Unit-Types we play in Warcry with our hungry Dudes.
A lot of other Factions have their own Thread.

I myself have put a List together, which is more focused to the Fun-Side of the game.

    I take:

    1 Ogor Gluttons Leader (285)

1 Oger Glutton with paired Clubs and Baldes (205)

    1 Irongut (235)

    1 Leadbelcher (230)

    1 Gnobblar (45)

    thats  1000/1000

My Idea was to have one Thing from everything. a big tank with the Irongut, a distance fighter with the Leadbelcher, a good Leader with the Glutton Leader, the normal Glutton to have an Allrounder and a funny mascot with the Gnoblar.
I have a Tournament in my local Gmaestore in the middle of March and will report how that was going with this list.

I'm curious what you others going to play.
Are you going nuts with Leadbelchers, or are you going full tank with Ironguts, or is there maybe someone who goes full horde with the Gnoblars?

I've got lots of interesting plans, though how many of them I'll actually get to do is another matter.

What I really want to do is a map based narrative campaign, with a strong Kingdom Building element to it. There is a region of wilderness, somewhere adrift in the multiverse, with gates to all eight realms. None of them are very accessible gates, and few people know of them, but if exploited then they could be another all-points. Word is gradually spreading, and factions in all of the adjacent realms are beginning to send out expeditionary forces to establish outposts in the frontier. But these strange new lands are far from uninhabited, and ancient crumbling ruins at their centre suggest that *someone* knew of this place in the dim and distant past.

Effectively every player would control their own little colony, in a game that would be a bit like settlers of Catan with warhammer battles. Scouts would have to be sent out to find locations with useful resources and claim them for the kingdom, by building outposts and forts. These can then be upgraded into larger settlements once more resources are secured, but the different colonies will soon come into conflict along their shared frontiers, and various NPC factions will be randomly encountered on the map as well.

I plan to use a hybrid of the path to glory rules and the points system. Effectively each player will start out with a single path to glory warband, but will be able to gain more troops as they establish more settlements. If all goes well then they should fairly soon have small standing armies garrisoning each of their settlements and outposts. However how many of those troops they send to any given battle will vary. Some games might be small skirmishes between groups of scouts, while others might be larger pitched battles. In that case there will be an element of seeing how well scouts and spies can report on enemy troop movements. Players will effectively have to try to use espionage to find out how many points worth of troops any given general is committing to a theatre, and decide whether they can commit that many troops themselves without leaving a settlement undefended in ork infested hills etc.

I'd ideally like to end up with a mix of big games, skirmish scale games, maybe even play underworlds and warcry from time to time, as small adventuring parties head off to explore the ruins. It will all form part of the unfolding narrative, and each player will have a real attachment to their kingdom (or tribe, or what have you.)

I like the idea that there will be a strong roleplay componant as well, with players sending diplomatic missives back and forth. What happens when your order city is besieged by the undead, and sends out messengers asking for help? Will another player come to their rescue, and what if that happens to be the Chaos player, and their aid is contingent on your kingdom turning to the worship of Tzeentch?

    There is so much potential!

Naturally I've yet to be able to persuade anyone I game with to actually play it with me. At this rate I might just do it on my own, with my kingdom pitted against NPC factions, but that would miss out on a lot of the more RP-y parts of the experience.

    @EccentricCircle
pleeease make this happen :)  That sounds extremly awsome!

Ahh thanks DestructionKev. Appreciate the kind words. Judging by your handle, hopefully you’ll be pleased to find I’m getting towards the finish line of painting up 1000pts of Ironjawz (I have 2000pts worth of models) so hopefully they’ll be making their debut on the channel very soon.
